Hi, new here guys, nice to find such a cool site. Im close friends with an art director in the film industry, i wont mention his name but he has worked closely with production designer Michael Carlin and is about to start work in Canada on Kal-El, the next Superman movie. He was busy in 2010 on Bond 23 before it went into hiatus. He told me that the movie for a while had the code name Red Shadow, but when official documentation and the script arrived it contained the title Red Sky At Night and as such was reffered to as this by Sam Mendes, Michael Carlin and the producers and the studio etc. I think its a pretty cool title myself though out of the two Red Shadow is better i think though Red Sky At Night has a classic Bond Movie ring to it. he also said that filming would have been done in Ontario, Canada and there was a large stunt involving the Ontario Tower as well as a huge hockey game and skiing/winter sports sequences. What do you guys think?

On a side not we recently got a box with a standee in it at my cinema that said 'JB 3D' on the side. I got all excited about it, thinking maybe EoN had produced a generic teaser for Bond 23, even though I don't want Bond to be in 3D. Turns out it was for Justin Bieber 3D.

By the time Bond 23 is ready to start filming, Justin Bieber will be old enough to play James Bond. Couldn't possibly be worse than what we have now.

Give them a chance--remember, Tomorrow Never Lies became Tomorrow Never Dies, so who knows: we could have Dead Sky at Night before it's all over.
I was a fan of using Vancouver (my parents live near there....) having had the winter Olympics there last year - I reckon it could be interesting - and a hockey game (Ice hockey for us Brits ) ) - cool - been to few of those myself - and I have to say, you can't help but be caught up in the atmosphere, and well, it's a pretty brutal sport
To be honest, Dead Sky at Night GOT a certain ring to it. Yes, serious.
Would look good on ajb007 in a couple of years too:
"You remember the ending of DSAN? THAT'S pure Fleming."

But you yourself are nothing so divine.
Just next in line.
Easy fix: "Die Under A Golden Night Sky"
That's all that rings in my head, an old saying banded about in this part of the world.
Personally, I couldn't take that at all seriously as the title for an action adventure film.
I let it sit for a a few hours now and my mind keeps coming back to it. I like it.
Would probably run into copyright issues with Karl May and his heirs but the title makes... curious.
And transports much at the same time.
But you yourself are nothing so divine.
Just next in line.
And what do people have against grass and vegetation anyway?
Now that you mention it, I remember a similar saying:
"Red Sky at night, sailors delight. Red Sky at morning, sailors take warning"
The Coca Cola Cat mentioned a Production Designer names Michael Carlin in his/her post. I've checked this info and a PD of this name exists, he worked for movies like In Bruges, Mr Bean's Holiday and The Eagle Of The Ninth. According to the IMDB there is no connection to Bond 23 or the new Superman movie.
On the other hand there is a cinematographer named Mike Carlin who worked for a few documentaries about DC Superheroes, including the man of steel.
Perhaps there was a misunderstanding or confusion.
My first thought was that the "Ontario Tower" (mentioned by Pepsi Cat, too) is the world-famous CN Tower in Toronto, but Google shows other results. There is an "Ontario Tower" in London's docklands area (in the UK, not Ontario!), part of luxury high-rise residential buildings, and there exists an "Ontario Tower" in Dubai, too.
So many questions ...
I remember it well---still own the vinyl B-) ;%
I don't think it's a terrible title; just sort of trite and a bit blase...but ironically someone previously suggested, probably jokingly, Dead Sky At Night. As overused as the death element is in these titles, I actually prefer that one )
