For "Bond On A Budget" polos, I usually go to Old Navy, where they are about $10 or so. They also have plain grey t-shirts similar to Sunspel for only $6.

Another good place to get budget Bond polos is H&M, which is a little more slim-fit than Old Navy, but about the same price.

I just bought two more vintage navy polos from the canvas line at Lands End lor $8 each. They also have a long sleve blue polo close enough to the Venice shirt for $20.

Not a big fan of the Old Navy and Land's End/LE Canvas polos. Even the supposedly slimmer cut polos are a bit blousy.

My preference is for the J.Crew tailored fit polos

I buy polos from Boden - very hard wearing, wash well, strong stitching, good choice of colours etc - £30 - £50 depending on their regular sales price.

I picked up a "Chaps" (Ralph Lauren) polo at Khol's for $12. It's plain navy blue with a very Fred Perry-like (ahem, ripoff) white laurel on the chest. Goes good with my $12 Chinatown Rolex

There is/was a company called Carstarphen that made 100% Sea Island Cotton polo shirts. A while back (maybe a few years) another company sold a bunch of the Carstarphen polos at a fairly large discount. I picked a up a bunch then. I've been looking for a reasonable Sea Island Cotton replacement but haven't found one yet. $100+ for polos when you live a hard life like Bond is a bit too much...

While not cheap the Sunspel Riviera polos offer great value for money if you want an actual Bond item of clothing. I appreciate he wore TF as well but also Sunspel. And the latter is MUCH cheaper than the former

nms75, I'll probably buy one when I visit England within the next few years, but I simply cannot afford one now. Trying to find a good DARK navy polo to go with the 505 jeans (On a Budget 7FAM alternative) I'm going to buy when I fly to the States for a visit home...

Last year around the holiday season, Sunspel had a 50% sale using a discount code, which is how I was able to afford my one & only (so far) Sunspel Riviera polo. Here's hoping they do the same thing this year!

i loike old navys polos but i cant seem to find one in the proper color and the long sleeve polo from the venice scene is particularly hard to come across anywhere for that matter any suggestions that the price isnt too over the top?

the lands end would that be the dark cobalt blue or the navy? im thinking dcb because he has dark navy jeans,or pants idk on and the shirt is lighter than the pants, any thoughts?

Just bought two dark navy polos from M&S of all places. Only cost £18 each and they fit really well and look tough enough. They're subtle and cut well. I'm going on a bit of an action holiday this weekend for a week and don't want to rip, scuff or stain more my more expensive shirts.

Between those two colours, the Dark Cobalt Blue is probably the best choice, since the navy is too dark. Here are some photos of the outfit for reference:

This is a Claiborne polo in "Peacoat Navy" I picked up at a JCPenney in the states (had a coupon that made it $13) that retails for $30, and was on sale for $23. It is currently on sale for $19.99.

I'm on the fence about the ribbed sleeve.

The shoes, and I'll post these in another thread, were Sonoma Desert Boots. Only $40 at my military exchange, but I was not impressed. Though comfortable, they feel cheap. I can't remember the desert boots I tried on at DSW in the States, but they were of much better quality, and only $80. Problem was, they were in light gray only.

While I would have tried on a darker pair - it's obvious what look I was going for - these were the only ones available. I apologize for the poor image quality - these were taken on my mobile phone.

Just ordered a Land's End jersey pocket polo in "True Navy". Love the color, but the pocket sits too high on the chest, and my wife commented that it looks cheaper than my JcPenney polo.

It is no longer on the website, but is nice and lightweight: I'll comment on its breathability after I've worked on a few satellite dishes this afternoon. Also wearing the U.S. Polo Assn desert boots I got for $30, and they're tearing up my achilles when I'm not wearing long socks. Ugh.

Shoes broken in, and they're not bad, but not nearly as comfortable as the $80 pair I put on in the States. The Land's End polo isn't holding up, as well. The color isn't fading badly (and I make effort to avoid color fade), but the material itself just seems cheap.

The Claiborne polo is fine. I may get more, but I'm always browsing. My Sunspel polo would now cost me about $130US. I'm tempted to purchase one before my next deployment to Hong Kong/Singapore/etc, and find a tailor and say "Make this" for me, and then return the Sunspel for a full refund, though from what I'm reading - I'll love it too much to give it back.
