Actually I do like the TND theme. Sheryl Crow has a decent voice and I think it fits the film well. Plus, it's almost guiltily fun to sing along to...but that's just me )

I have tried. Its still the only movie in the collection I refuse to buy. I watched it on (cut everything out) ITV on Sunday. Yes alright I liked it a bit more but not enough to jump ahead of Moonraker in my rankings. Sorry TND fans, I still believe this film is awful and it bores me heavily to watch it. Curse Wai Lin.
I think it is pretty unmemorable (that's a generous appraisal), but then again, I love the kd lang ending tune, which is probably in my top few Bond tunes.
Except for that and some of the score, I think TND is just about bottom of the bucket as a Bond movie, along with MOONRAKER and VIEW TO A KILL -- again, like a song, hate the flick -- and DAD (TND & DAD are the only Bonds I never saw theatrically, and in retrospect ... I sure am GLAD I didn't bother!)

She is played poorly by Michelle Yeoh, a less than attractive and talentless actress. Her voice is incredibly annoying and so is her attitude and personality. I cannot believe Bond was attracted to her in any way.
Well, that's about it for Wai Lin. All those things together make her the worst Bond girl of the series, and she brings the film down with her....
I like the first few bars before Sheryl Crow sings, then it goes downhill. I definitely prefer k.d. lang who in my view is more of a timeless singer rather than the anodyne Crow. Surrender is one of the best non-theme songs, after We Have All the Time in the World and If There Was a Man
