I should get a jump on my micro for Film Lit...hmm...this involves me getting on my bike and getting my lazy butt down to blockbuster to rent SIN CITY...is it any good? anyone seen it?

Sin City is a masterpiece, in my opinion. A very well made, and thought out film. Bruce Willis is just great in it, but my favourite is Mickey Rourke - so watch out for him. I highly recommend you see it.
Well, it seems my absence from Random Chat hasn't stopped the thread, I see.
Anyway, Happy New Year, everybody. {[]
If anyone's been wondering what's been going on lately, I just got a PlayStation for Christmas! I'll cover the potential questions now: no, that does not mean that I've spent all my ajb-hiatus on it; and yes, that's a PSone, not a PS2. The redesigned PSX is quite nice, though. I mainly got it because I had one long ago (one of the original PlayStation models), but sold it for a GameBoy Color.
What's great about the PSX is that most games for it are now under $10! I bought the console with a Dual Shock controller, "Driver 2," "Gran Turismo 2," "Final Fantasy VII" and "007 Racing" all for $60! Those were all very high-publicity games (except for maybe "007 Racing"), so that is a pretty good deal, even if they are all circa 1999 (or at least somewhere around that year).
Gran Turismo 2 was, and still is, a fantastic game. For a long time I was completely addicted to it.

I had a great time last night, and the very early hours of this morning.
I spent last night playing Monoploy (:D)-the Star Wars adition and this morning very early hours drinking Cava, Shandy, a Bacardi and Coke and far too much Bacardi Breezer.
The Cava was great, the Shandy was great and the Bacardi and Coke was absolutely awful! Me and my mate really couldn't work out how her stepdad had managed to get drunk on it Boxing Day. )
I also had a sip of this port and WKD stuff which tasted just like our neighbour said it would: Vimto. )
The Bacardi Breezer tasted marvellous as I'd had that before. It was great but I'm sticking to Shandy until the next party cus I've got one huge headache.
And this morning I lay in bed and watched Only Fools and Horses. They were a great set of episodes:
Del and Rodney dressed up as Batman and Robin, then turned up at the party and found out the guy had died so everyone was in black, Cassandra became pregnant, had a miscarriage, Del pretended the lift had broke down and they were stuck in it so Rodney would talk about it, Raquel's parents came round and Albert ruined the dinner, Damion pointed it out, Raquel's dad found am antique watch and it sold at Sotheby's for £6.2 million. ) Not bad, eh? )

Sounds like you a smashing time then, Felix.
I didn't have a bad night myself, was watching War of the Worlds with the family (and thoroughly enjoyed it actually; despite some of the negative reviews it had), nursed a pint of lager, and, of course, stuck on the usual London celebrations come five minutes to mdnight. :007)

I wish I wasn't getting so addicted to Only Fools and Horses. It's driving me up the wall cus I feel like if I miss an episode the world 'll come to the end or summet. It's so annoying. I wish I could just buy them all - then I wouldn't care as I'd have them all on dvd anyway.
I don't have anything to look forward to either. I spent £25 yesterday on a Beatles CD. But I'd already go it on record and tape. But I still wanted to get it, even though I now have about £2.
I can't go into town with my mates cus we always go on the bus and get something to eat no matter what. I can't even afford a 1 way ticket into town.
I need a way to make money fast. Preferably one where I'll still be able to try and stick to a diet.
I'm gonna really do it this year. I'm gonna try all these challenges I've read about in magazines and heard things about.
If I get a job or some way to make money, I'll be doing that so I won't be sitting in watching TV and getting fat.
Oh and the job needs to be able to be done without me using all my pocket money too. I only get £7 a week and I can't get much practical stuff with that.
If anyone gets any ideas I'm all open to them.
And it needs to be legal! )

I just got back from a Jets game that I went to. It was ridiculously stupid, because the Jets suck but they still won. I wanted them to win of course, but they shouldn't have. Anyway, during the "Levitra halftime challenge," which isn't, as it should be, to "get it up," it was for random guys to try and punt. Anyway, throughout the whole thing, they played the Bond theme. I was outraged. Bond doesn't use Levitra!

I've started reading my new Doctor Who book 'Monsters Inside'. I had it for Christmas and it's highly addictive - I haven't been able to put it down all morning.

This is my last day of vacation, which sucks, but oh well. I'm finishing it by watching movies. I started with Enciro man, or something like that, it was on TBS, and looked funny. Then I watched Layer Cake, which I have on DVD. I'm going to watch Batman Begins, SW Ep 5, and 6, and maybe something else. I hope I can get through all of them!
I take it you saw the last episode of the Christopher Ecclestone season. I'll answer your questions - don't want to steal Felix's thunder, but I see you are a young and eager jedi.
What was all this about the TARDIS being alive?!
The TARDIS being alive is quite a new concept, at least I haven't seen it in the few early episodes I saw (Tom Baker-era if the conisseurs were wondering). Basically the TARDIS isn't your average phone box, but the new episodes imply it's not only a machine, but more than that. Which is quite spooky if you think of it. That thing you are in can SEE YOU!
If 'no-one can open the TARDIS' how come Billy Piper could?!
She has the key... and trucks. But actually, I think that the open the TARDIS line is not literal, eg. opening the actual door. And yes, Rose did "open the TARDIS" in all senses of the word.
What was the relevance of the words Bad Wolf?
The Bad Wolf was a word that appeared in almost every one of the episodes of the whole season. It appeared as a graffitti in the TARDIS, loudspeakers shouted in, a project in Cardiff was called Bad Wolf, a haunted girl was afraid of "the Bad Wolf", etc. The relevance is really lost if you haven't seen the whole season.
And why did the Dr become someone else at the end!?
That's part (some say the essence) of Dr. Who. He has been around for like 27 seasons (now 28) and Ecclestone was the ninth actor to play Who. Tennant, the new guy is the tenth.
Is there a reason for him changing form like that or is it just a way to move on to the next actor (you know like do they say he dies, but he's immortal so he just finds a new form (like the oracle in the Matrix))?
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and everyone dies.
Is there a reason for him changing form like that or is it just a way to move on to the next actor (you know like do they say he dies, but he's immortal so he just finds a new form (like the oracle in the Matrix))?
Frankly, this is the only "transition" I've seen so far, but that's the whole point really - to get a new actor. The transition scens are always highlights, too bad Ecclestone didn't have any in the beginning of his tenure, though it is implied he regenerated only some time before he enters our life - while he just appears from nowhere in his first scene, he obviously hasn't seen himself before as he stops for a moment to look at himself in a mirror (and makes a note of his ears).
Hehe, wonderful! Well I was quite suprised when it happened to be honest!
Okiday then, that's cleared up that little thing! How was everyone's Christmas?
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and everyone dies.

Great! And the changing things is called 'regeneration' btw. Cat cleared most things up. Timelords can supposedly regenerate 12 times but I'm sure they'll find some way to keept the programme going if the time comes.
I'm going round to my mates tomorrow and am trying to unhook myself from being addicted to Only Fools and Horses. But it has given me some fast money making ideas.
And they're full proof! Well... almost full proof.
Like betting! And gambling! I'm great at new market. )
I could do a bit of betting on arm wrestling - I'm stronger than every boy in our class.
In other news, I'm getting completely bored out of mind and me and my mate discussed the other night that there's nothing wrong with looking forward to going back to school. Mind you, she'd had a few...
We live nowhere near the rest of our friends from school and we both just want to be able to see them again!
I have one more day of break, and I'm prolly gonna spend it on the couch, watching a movie with Keegans. Anyone seen THE PRODUCERS yet? I saw it last night and almost peed my pants laughing. I now need to see it on Broadway before Nate and Matt leave the cast.

Dunno wot I'm gonna do - besides go round my mates. I've got tomorrow off as well so it doesn't bother me too much. I'm tempted to spend tomorrow watching Only Fools and Horses all day though. Cus it's on loads. I'm gonna do some more reading of my guitar book though and play with my Dalek.
I wish I had a dalek, they look fun! Though I do have a big one stuck on my wall, somehow it isn't the same! I'm currently teaching myself the piano, but guitar is next on my list!
I have mocks (exams) all this week and a couple next week, how smelly! And they don't even let us go home when we don't have exams, we have to go to our lessons like chumps! My school sucks!

I've been having mocks this week myself. Had my RE, Welsh and Science ones today; weren't as bad as what I thought they would be, although I'll probably fail big time in Welsh and get nothing higher than a 'D grade' in Science (RE wasn't exactly hard).
I think I did better yesterday in my English and Maths though. English was pretty straight forward as usual, although I didn't quite get around to finishing that paper (I'm a slow writer), and suprisingly Maths was more or less a piece of cake too. So I shouldn't have done too bad this time.
Here's just hoping my Leisure & Tourism resits go well tommorow (as I'm usually quite good in that, so have no reason to fail again really).
I have finals the week after next...Math is going to be the only REAL problem, but that's my last test, so I've got all of that week to study for it. If we don't have a test, we get to go home...^_^

Yay, I've got no school tomorrow!
I went over to my friend's house today, he has got an Xbox 360, and it was SO COOL! I can't wait to get a 360 so I can play it on my HD Projector! That'll look so hot!
Meh, isn't it just a different colour X-Box? It surprises me that they can release a console which is that much better in such a short space of time! To be honest I don't like consoles anyway so I'm biased! Drama exam was hard, I'm not doing Drama A level, Chemistry was also hard, English was also hard. Grr. Rubbish day to end the week on.

Can't wait to see what tomorrow holds. I haven't got a clue what I'm gonna do but... ) I'm feeling like a bit of story writing and I'm gonna go into town.
