Are you guys joking? I mean, a few months ago there was absolutely nothing, but now that CR is actually being shot and now that most of the parts are cast, things are "exploding" with Bond! Have you guys read the script reviews? Take a look on the CR forum once in awhile, right now there is some interesting stuff.
Hunt me down and glare at me with utter hate and disgust
Of course, the General didn't mean that harsh comment. Not one bit!
Being perfectly honest - to say that I hated you makes me something of a hypocrit - because there isn't a Bond film anywhere near my top five favourite films of all-time, and I prefer the Indiana Jones and Star Wars series ultimately...
1 - Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
2 - Jaws
Those two have been there for years and I can't see anything toppling them for a while, at least.
The next three change quite often;
3 - Terminator 2: Judgement Day
4 - Once Upon a Time in the West
5 - The Last Starfighter
Just missing out - Hook, Return of the Jedi, American Beauty, Throw Momma From the Train, Uncle Buck, The Goonies, What Lies Beneath, Rear Window, The Birthday Party, The Music Man...
I loved REAR WINDOW...I saw that one in Film Lit...it's got it's scary moments...lol. I honestly can't list my top five...they change so frequently...I have many movies that I love, but I can't put them in order. ^_^

PS. I just got back from seeing THE PINK PANTHER. rather amusing bit with Clive Owen.
Clive: I am 006, do you know what that means?
Steve Martin: You're one step down from the big shot
tehehe he looked great in his tux. You'll have to go see the movie, guys. I don't want to give away any more.

I know what you mean. My all-time two favorite Bond films are GF and FRWL. My all-time two favorite films are The Godfather and The Godfather 2.

I really don't know what my favorite movies are, but I'd expect Bond movies to be quite high up there, because I just enjoy them so much.

I've decided to change my avatar. I've had this one for a while and I'm getting quite bored of it. I don't know how to make my own gif one, so I've found a nice Beatles one that I'm going to have. I'm going to update it regularly-ish as well, because I have quite a few of these and just need to put them on the web. I hope you guys like them cus I think some of them are really funny. )

GoldenEye, my favourite Bond; nowhere in sight!
Some great films there, General. I would place my favourite Bond films (such as TSWLM & GF) alongside my all time favourites. And Jaws is definitely one of them. Along with Raiders of the Lost Ark, which I prefer to The Last Crusade. The Temple of Doom is a very poor film by comparison.
As for the Terminator films. I prefer them in the order that they were made. The first film is a classic. Once Upon a Time in the West is another classic, definitely right up there with the best westerns ever made. Ultimately, I prefer The Searchers, The Good The Bad & The Ugly, and also Red River.
The Last Starfighter seems to have passed me by because I don't remember seeing it. I shall have to check it out.
My all-time two favorite films are The Godfather and The Godfather 2.
Good call Dan. They are my favourite two as well. I never tire of watching them and Micheal provided me with a rather splendid signature.
I'm a sucker for gangsters though. I also love ' Goodfellas' and my favourite TV show ... The Sopranos .

I must say, while I liked Goodfellas, I didn't think it was fantastic. I thought Scarface was better. Tony Montana started lower and got much higher than Ray Liotta's character. It was a much more dramatic story with much more happening. Goodfella was good, but I think that Scarface had a larger magnitude and shock value.
I loved Godfather I & II. I saw those two in Film Lit...they hold some great memories of that class for me. III...I could live quite happily without seeing that one ever again...I did a paper on it for Film Lit...if I remember correctly, I think I said that I hated it (my teacher agreed). And I really did. It was nothing special, it hardly connected to the first two, and the acting was just...blah. Anywho, I'm off to bed, so I'll talk to you guys later.

I also love Goodfellas (probably my third favorite film, but that's debatable). As a matter of fact, I'm thinking of adopting a signature. I would love to steal yours as it is indeed superb, but I'm considering going with Hyman Roth's speech ("This is the business we have choosen") or alternatively Michael's words to Freddo ("I knew it was you Freddo, you broke my heart. You broke my heart") or perhaps Michael's "made him an offer he could''t refuse" speech. Anyway, I'll think of something.

As with me. My favorite Bond films (GF, FRWL, TB) are also among my all-time favorite films. But if I had to pick 2 films to be my favorites, they would be the first 2 Godfather films.
Plus, I tend to think of the Bond films as a group, whilst with the Godfather films, I can very easily ignore the third.

But what makes Goodfellas so great (at least for me) is the fact that it actually happened as well as the way Scorsese told the story. I agree Scarface had greater shock value, as well as perhaps greater magnitude, but I have to disagree that Scarace was better. I loved Scarface but IMO Goodfellas was one of the greatest films ever made as well as the greatest ever 'pure' gangster film (I don't consider the Godfather films to be 'pure' gangster films.)

So many to chose from ... personally I love the ' You broke my heart ' stuff between Michael and Freddo. Both movies are full of some of the best quotes in cinema. They are endless.
This is one of my favourites...
' Michael: My father is no different than any powerful man, any man with power, like a president or senator.
Kay Adams: Do you know how naive you sound, Michael? Presidents and senators don't have men killed.
Michael: Oh. Who's being naive, Kay? ' ..
It is, perhaps, a bit long for a signature though )
I also love ...
'Fredo - you're my older brother, and I love you. But don't ever take sides with anyone against the Family again. Ever. '
( Fredo was a bit of a dope - you would think he would have learnt )
and
' There are many things my father taught me here in this room. He taught me: keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. '
But the one I use all the time, surprising comes from Pt 3. That is ..
' Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in .. '

They are great (I'm not quoting them due to practical reasons). Other great lines/speeches include the "I used to believe in America" speech in number.1, the Don's speech about how "your enemies would be my enemies and they would be suffering this very day," Tom's line about how the Don never asks for a second favour if the first had been refused and Michael's “Fredo, you’re nothing to me now. You’re not a brother, you’re not a friend. I don’t want to know you or what you do.”
ME TOO. ME TOO. I absolutely adore them and I can not think of any other film that has had as big an impact on my life as these two.

Now I think I'll have to go rent them again. I tend to pick a character right out and become attached to them. For some unknown reason, I picked Sonny. I had no idea that it was James Caan, who is one of my favorites. I watch LAS VAGAS weekly, and imagine my glee when I descovered that Sonny was running a casino. lol. They even did a spoofish thing on GF with James Caan. They wanted him to do a comercial for the hotel/casino. The director kept telling him to act more like Sonny.
Director: haven't you ever seen the Godfather films?
Ed: No, no, can't say that I have *very Sonny like smile*
it made me laugh. ^_^

What d'you guys think of my new avatar? I'm not too keen on it, I'm gonna see if I can get a different one.
So my mum made me sit down with her and work out a work schedule (which will later become a revision schedule) last night. And (apparantly) that doesn't mean that I should work at the times it says on the schedule, it means I should be working, 24/7, regardless of what the schedule says.
What's that all about?!
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and everyone dies.
oho...I know I'll get 2000...I'm just a looer who sits on the computer all evening...of course I'll get it. ^_^ Hey guys, i finally got one of my projects to host online...I have the URL...go look and tell me what you think...this took me a few weeks to get it looking like that...it makes me happy. http://photobucket.com/albums/e176/Pendragon007/?action=view¤t=on_fire_.gif
Jedi, working 24/7 would suck so bad. I hope you can get it worked out.
eww. My wisdom teeth aren't in all the way, and my dentist says that they won't cause any trouble for the rest of my teeth. Why're you homesick anyway?
Not homesick... home sick, I have a cold. The doctors are going to go ahead and pull the teeth anyway. Going to watch loads of Bond tomorrow after sugery. 8-)
