i cant speak for them, but I am from northern NJ and go into the city all the time

I think its funny that we from that area call it "the city" and every other city has a name -i.e. Boston, where I am going to school.

And as much as I am in Boston for school - NYC will always be the best city, hands down and hopefully I'm gettin an internship there over the summer ::crosses fingers::

maybe one day ill run into you fellow bond fans, lol

awww you guys live in cool places. I live in boring ol' Boulder CO where exciting things are far and few. *sigh* Hey maybe when I'm east this summer I'll run into people. I'm prolly going to the city for a show ^_^ and I'm gonna be in Newton NJ for a few weeks.

    Hell's Kitchen

And not that chef show on television...

Of course I've heard that the politicians and yuppies have given it a facelift since I've been away and it's called something else now... Clinton I think.

A facelift means little. I mean, Giuliani cleaned up a lot of the city, but Bloomberg has been letting it go to hell. There have been a massive amount of muggins around my school. Nothing lately, but the first day it snowed in NYC, there were five muggings in one morning! I think a few of the perps were caught, but still.
  • RogueAgentRogueAgent Speeding in the Tumbler...Posts: 3,676MI6 Agent
Ahhh, I remember looking out of my window to 1.5 muggings everyday in the Kitchen. It'll always be that to me regardless of whatever it's called now.

It's only a facelift in the academic sense...

I used to walk home across the park, as my school is only across the park, but I really can't in the Winter. I almost got mugged by this large group of guys. Thankfully I know the park well and am quick on my feet. Also, thankfully, that was the only time I almost got mugged.

Classic :)). I'll bet that was a Cinemax moment. I'm trying to picture that now. What did you have? A nice coat? Shoes? Lunch money or all of the above?

I was fortunate that that never happened to me. I learned to walk the streets up there with an expression that I wasn't to be toiled with. Don't know really but it worked.

That was last year. Actually, it was the first day I ever wore my new Omega to school, although they never saw that, how could they? No, it was most likely cause they were a group of big guys and I wasn't. I doubt anything would happen now, I look much too confident now, but who knows. I've got some tough friends, too.
  • PendragonPendragon ColoradoPosts: 2,640MI6 Agent
haha that's how I look every day. There are surprising amounts of creepy older guys in Boulder, namely the Hobos who live in a park near my school. They talke to us, follow us and fight with each other all the time.

Oh, and I miss HELL'S KITCHEN the TV show...really I do...it was funny. Too bad it only ran one season, it should come back.

Whoa. I was grown and working before I bought my first Omega watch! :))

Now my 8 year old son has the audacity to ask for a razor-lined cellphone for his birthday! I was about to go get him drug tested behind that request. :))

God, how times have changed...When I was your age, Night, Timex was as Rolex as it got for us kids.

It was a gift, the Omega. I wear Joseph Abboud shirts with a pair of jeans and some black loafers. Also, I usually wear a brown leather jacket. It's a very Danny Blue look, RA, but I'm having trouble finding columnn pattenrs as opposed to veritcal stripes all over the shirt.

Man...to be loved like that. I salute you.

I'm still trying to sweet talk my wife into buying me this Oris automatic I want badly as my next birthday present or Christmas maybe.

I'm taking the "Ralphie" approach by leaving watch ads and mags on her side of the bed... :D
