You can usually I think go anywhere in the Universe, and you'll like it better than where you live. Because it's something different and it's not the same thing you see day after day. And there's other stuff there, instead of the same things you do day after day, so they always seem far more interesting.
Like I live near Cannock Chase - but I never go there. ?:) I just think it's pretty boring, but loads of my mates that live at Stafford go there often.
And I've got family in Cornwall, they're like a mile from the beach but they hardly ever go there.
But, now my b-day is less than a fortnight away I'm just thinkning of that. And hoping I get everything I asked for. Hoping. Praying. Down on my knees and screaming 'PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!'. )

Well if I get the chance to go (and I think it's likely I will at some point in my life if I choose to), I'll be a tourist so I won't have to see those bad parts. Just like tourists coming to England only see the good parts like London, Blackpool Please Beach, Cornwall and that's about it. )

We used to have a guy who oversaw the data center. I swear to God, he didn't know how to boot up our own servers (and this was his job). One day he somehow managed to knock out three servers at once and actually called me at home so that I could walk him thru switching on the CPU's and CRT's. Just thinking of that guy, it's time for another high blood pressure pill...

Today - off to a Christening. Our family's big so I'm not sure how I'm related to her in one word. Or even two. Her father's my cousin but I've hardly ever seen him. I think last time I saw him was at his wedding. ) I didn't even know he had a daughter until my mom told me about the Christening. )
