I'm from jersey --- not new jersey.... just jersey, lol.
It was funny some people would say (while I was away at college) that I say words like "water" and "coffee" wrong. but other than that most "accented" words are basically the same - and to be honest I dont know anyone with the sterotypical "jersey" accent, and I've lived here all my life

"Joisey" If you're from the northern part. South jersey isn't considered Jersey by many since they're closer to Philly which has a totally different sounding accent IMO.

You make it sound so tough.
RogueAgentSpeeding in the Tumbler...Posts: 3,676MI6 Agent
No...not tough but it does get worrisome. I actually had to go off on one guy picking at every word I said...Well, he thought I was a softie like most NYers are he said.
I called him an "in-breeder" and a fight ensued.

awe man. accents. Coloradans have a very strange one, apperintly. And I sound even odder, accoriding to my friends, when I come home from Jersey. The accents mix and form something weird, or so they say. ^_^ Speaking of Jersey, I'm coming in on Wed! hooah!

My mates can notice my accent. It's different to theirs even though I'm only 10 minutes down the road. )

When I was a kid, I used to always wish that I could go to school in England just to adapt the English accent and mannerisms and then move back to the States all dapper and Bondian (which I already do now). My sisters used to think that I was nuts then. )
Although I do a good Brit accent now, I'd rather it not sound manufactured and just come out naturally. Guys from there that come here attract babes like flies to sugar. I guess the same could be vice versa...

I've been told I have a slight accent... But no one can accurately place it. You see, I've lived all over the States, and all the local accents have melded together to form something different. Someone once told me I sound like I'm from Seattle, another told me I sounded like I was from "some foreign country--Europe or something."
When I look at it, I guess I could say I'm mostly from the south. I was born in Houston and lived in Florida for several years, but not before going all over the States. Not to mention I've lived in both southern and northern Florida, which have noticable differences... Also, my mother is from Wisconsin and my father is from Seattle (maybe Seattle does play a part in this, even though I've only been there for three days over a period of ten years :P ).
I suppose I have a bit of a southern accent... Although it's very slight, and it only shows in some words. Once in a blue moon, I end up saying "ain't" when I'm saying something very quickly (it's rather infrequent, though) or whenever I talk about the car windows, I end up saying "winduz." Of course, from talking on this site (and watching Bond ), I end up occasionally using British vocabulary that makes me sound European; when I talk about my car, I'd like to call it the British word for station wagon... "estate car!" ...Although I have trouble remembering to use it. :P
Anyway, the end result? No one can tell where I'm from! It's kind of cool, really...
sweeeeeeet. lol. well, here I am in Jersey. local time 8:14. Pen's internal clock time 6:14. man...am I tired. The cats have been biting my toes non stop since I got up. meh. Apperintly, I'm going pilaging around Sussex with my cousin later this morning after we get my Dad's rental car. whee. Well, I'm gonna go plop back down in my other cousin's old room again before I kill myself on the computer desk. bye bye.

Yay done with my first final, I've got two left. I'm really nervous about my global final tomorrow, but the Bio regents next week should be easy. The math final today was surprisingly easy as well. We had three hours to finish it, many people including myself finished it in a little over an hour.

England have definitely just scored - I could hear lots of screaming and cheering from downstairs and I don't reckon's it's cus we've just got a free kick. ) I was going to watch the match, but I got bored. )
Yesterday was pretty good. My Paul McCartney CD arrived from ebay, as did my Saint Series 1 DVD set. And I've got to sort out paying for this Doctor Who video too. I :x EBAY!!! :x :x :x
Felix...Englands soccer team was getting to me. They just dribble around and pass w/o a single shot. They have had plenty of oppurtunities...just shoot!!! Ahhh, no matter, I'm chearing for the underdog anyways. B-)

England will have to raise their game if they are to get very far once the elimination rounds have begun. Sweden won't be such an easy match. Still, can't really complain about two wins in two matches:- but then we are, as per usual, one of the favourites.... 8-)
...and I'm sure England will be out real soon now that I've said that
awe...I've seen half of a match. I have no time really to be the soccer fan that I am, and it makes me kinda sad. *pouts* and eesh, I hope that England does raise their game, cuz no offense, but they let so many oppertunities pass by...oppertunities that I could have scored on...which is kinda sad. (I haven't played soccer for about three years...) so yea. no offense, but I look forward to better games. {[]

This music video site's frustrating me. X-( I'm sick of waiting for it to load the end part and it's taking forever! Then I'm also on the phone to my best mate as well as having a load of people wanting to talk to me on msn. ) There's ebay and my site that's driving me up the wall as well... not to mention my mother. ) ) )
fun fun. can anyone guess how sore Pen is? anyone? no...ok. Pen shoveled 6ish paddocks (cleaned up horse dooky) out yesterday, and led a VERY strong percheron (he REALLY wanted that grass) in for some TLC. and guess how long it's been since I did that. oog.
Wow, this topic's died off...I was going to try to get together with 5 girls and go out to the Santa Cruz Main Street, but I couldn't get a ride...luckily the ladies are still interested...{[]

I'm addicted to ebay bidding. I'm running up a huge bill. But I :x it. I'm currently bidding on 10 Doctor Who videos and I'm gonna break down if I don't win at least half of them. )

5 women? At the SAME TIME? Wow, man, good job.
I've been playing golf the past few days, I've been having a great time. I have to take the regents tomorrow, but once that is over, school really will be out!!
