Never mind.
I have recently become thrilled by a CD I brought a few weeks ago. It's the Life On Mars soundtrack and some of the songs on it are absolutely fantastic. The album has some fo the songs that were used in the first series and it's great because they're not like the 70s stuff you're parents play. It's mostly from people and bands I've never heard of, so most probably only had a few hits, but they're amazing. The best part is all the music in Life On Mars is to my tastes.
This has just popped up in the news today. Thought it was pretty impressive. So many people jumping on the bandwagon to say how terrible and stupid it was. X-(
Hey All!!!
It's been a while! How is everyone fairing?? I am away at college and very very busy. Also just returned from spring training in Florida for softball. We start conference play on tuesday. sooooo excited!!!

Laters!!
Hello, Jen. Good to see you back with us. I hope all is going well at college and that you win your game on Tuesday.
Just thought I'd see what peoples opinions are on the Iran crisis. It really frustrates me that we are so leniant on these people. If they refuse to release our men and woman and force confessions of guilt. We should be forceably rescuing the hostages. If they saw us mobilise troops and put proper pressure on them. They would soon release our people.
This country is pathetically soft and will inevitably be our downfall.
Hey MNL! Thanks for the good luck wish. Things are hectic at school, as usual, but only a little over a month left!! Just trying not to go into that summer slide to early. haha!
s96024, I agree with you completely on the Iranian Crisis. I'm an american and I think this whole thing is bull and needs to be addressed right away. As does their enrichment of uranium. The sanctions put on them by the UN are a good thought, but to me this would seem only to **** Iran off more and make them enrich even more. I mean come on! Uranium on the market in the middle east could easily make up for the money lost from the UN sanctions. And it would all be going into the hands of our enemies....great! Another 9-11 happening somewhere in the world!!
hey, Jenner. long time no chat...both here and on MSN...that must change...guess what I got though??? An Erik Plushie! soooo cute! apperintly he's a limited edition...and I got it for only 6 bucks !!!
HAHA! Awe! I got something better! Friend of mine went to build a bear and made me a phantom teddy bear! Complete with 3 piece tail tux and mask, and when you squeze his hand he sings: "Let your soul take you where you long to beeeeeeeeeeee" It is very much coolness.
I have a build a bear with a three piece tux, but my location didn't have masks...*tear* I tried to make him one, but it made him look like a Panda...so now, he's just Erik-Bear without a mask...your's sounds AWESOME!
So what has been happening with you all?
I have this really good friend from back home. He was my assistant coach over the summer and i am good friends with his oldest daughter as well. He had this amazing shed that had a batting cage in it that i spent sooo much time in preparing for college ball and just had so much fun in it with friends and the team. Well it burnt down on sunday. They had a lot of things in it.. alot of memories. I feel so bad and want to go home and help right now! but i can't cuz im like 300 miles away and have a game tomorrow and GAH! it is driving me mad because i've talked to them everyday and I can just tell that their feelings and emotions are starting to really go down hill and all i can do is talk to them! I want to go and give them all a hug. I saw pictures of the building right after it fell in and all the tractors and the bobcat and just all the things in it you can hardly believe it was the once magnificent building it once was. I started crying instantly when i saw it like that and i knew what was coming. I can only image what they are all feeling. He just put the finishing touches on it in January too.
I dunno, I am just really depressed over it...:(
aww...Jen, I;m sorry about the fire...sucks when you lose something like that...:'( you have my sympathy as do your friends...
and yes, we did miss you, Scorupco WB
as for me, I just got back from three days of skiing with my band class...we took runner up to best in class (4a hooah) and an OUTSTANDIMG award as well in the playing compitition {[] yay us!
Thanks Pen, I saw them today, they are doing better but I can't believe what the shed looks like. It's amazimg how powerful something like fire really is until you see it first hand...yikes.
CONGRATS on the skiing and band thing! wooho! I snowboarded for the first time ever doing anything downhill this year. TOTAL blast! I should visit ya next winter break and we should go! SWEEEET.
Haha! I went down a blue accidently for my very first run ever! So I am doing whatever, if i fall i fall. I dont care! LOL.
GAH! Doesn anyone else hate huge tests. Not only to they span over about 4 chapters, but they are not in order AT ALL! Take my psyc test for tomorrow. It is on chapters 17, 10, and 7....why can't they just follow it in order? My Health test for tomorrow is the same way, but at least he told us the exact chapter numbers this time...i hate college profs sometimes. They think we can read their fricken minds or something! No offense to any prof that might be on the site, I realize you all aren't like this but sheesh! Give your colleages a class on the possible downfalls of the ignorance of freshman!
ewww...I had to re-take the ACTs (such fun) on monday cuz a college I want into is like "you need one more point to get in here hahaha" to which they promptly got a scowl, and some choice words (in my head). It was quite fun missing school AGAIN (which I can't really afford to do after the band trip X-( ), going to Greely which smells heavily of cows and being belittled by a "chunky" woman who thought we were all 5 all morning. not. 8-) GAH...it bugs me so...
~Pen -{
PS. my teachers are a bit better about going in order, because they know if they don't, the entire class will whine about it all week, which they hate.
haha blaster shot. makes me want to watch starwars...the good stuff, mind you...

lol.
Last night my dad was rather drunk, though was in complete denial about it until this morning when he and my mom could both hear my music. It is lucky though that he can't remember half eleven last night when I repeatedly told him to "p*$$ off!". )
But we ended up having an interesting discussion about him being gay (not literally but as in being shady lol) which lead to John Barrowman which lead to civil partnerships.
I said, speaking of John Barrowman, "He's married now"
"No he isn't," my dad said.
"He is," I said.
"He had a civil partnership,"
"Well it's the same thing!"
"No it isn't,"
"Yes it is,"
"It isn't!"
"Fine then; he's almost married," I said.
"You can't be almost married,"
"Yes you can,"
"If the police were called and told a man had been attacked and was dead, then they turned up and said 'hang on, he isn't dead...', then the bloke who called would say 'well he's almost dead'...!"
I then, who had been taking a sip of my drink, started laughing and a sticky summer fruits smelling liquid was spurted out over the carpet lol. )
Sounds like good times!!! Gotta love being slightly out of it and loopy for a good time. Makes it all the better sometimes. Especially when it is your parents! I have not been lucky enough to see my parents be drunk...though it is a day i would love to see just to i could have some leverage against them! hahaha!

Only in recent years have I been able to see my parents drunk. I think as me and my brother are teenagers now, they think we'll be fine alone, when they are clearly not. )
My mom once had to be helped from across the road back to our house. )
Both of them drunk was interesting. Everytime we go see these friends that my parents have known for like 20 years, one of the 4 of them gets drunk. Last year we stayed at our friends caravan and the adults had a meal there whilst me, my brother and their kids went down to this club on the site. We came back and found that both my parents had fallen under the caravan. )
But the most adults I ever saw drunk was a few years ago at a new years eve party. We went with a load of the neighbours and it was great, then a fight broke out and we saw this guy covered in blood being dragged out by a bouncer lol.
it's kinda frightening (not in a mean sort of way) when my mom is drunk. she and her friends will put on reggae records and sing and dance REEEALLY loudly...it's kind of hilarious...
