I've got a 700ml bottle Of Jack waiting to be used for a good cause.
But that good cause seems like its taking forever to come!
What counts is what the heroine provokes, or rather what she represents. She is the one, or rather the love or fear she inspires in the hero , or else the concern he feels for her, who makes him act the way he does.

mmm have fun with that, Surrie. I'd like some Bailey's, but that's not gonna happen unless I go to my friend's house, as I'm not yet 21....can't buy the damed stuff.:#
One more year and I'll be able to buy my own... seeing as I live Good Ol' England!

Yes! Come to England Pen!!! You can roam the streets drinking as much as you like and no one gives a damn! And if they do, still nothing will happen!
Watch out for the gangs and guns and turn left at the crack house to find our Prime Minister, sniffing anything and everything illegal to the rest of the country.
I love Bailey's. When I was younger, I used to have a small glass of Bailey's at my Grandparents house. I haven't had any Bailey's in such a long time. Next time, I have the opportunity, I'm going to order Bailey's.
BTW, my GF turned 24 yesterday. {[] We're having a get together with some friends on Saturday night, which will be great , but I'm particularly happy as she often teases me about how much older I am than her (I'm less than 9 months older than her), and for the next three months we will be the same age. )

and Felix, I'm thinking very seriously about a study abroad to England. It'd be fun. A whole semester over there, hanging out with you English AJBers if we felt like getting together...hmmm...I'll probably do it!!!

I was browsing through the James Bond section in Waterstones the other day when I came across a book titeled "James Bond, The Authorised Biography".
Natuarlly just the title intrigued me. So I ended up buying it eventually. It is a very very good book, quite strange though. The blurb is as follows:
"James Bond - fact or fiction? Myth or reality?
This book is surely one of the most extrodinary biographies of our times - the authorised life story of a myth, the official biography of James Bond.
James Bond has graced our book shelves and screens for over fifty years. The martini-drinking, super smooth character has become and icon and national treasure. Like most of the many million James Bond fans around the world, John Pearson assumed that the worlds most famous spy was no more than a figment of Fleming's highly charged imagination. Then he began to have his doubts - doubts which soon where reacing such a pitch that the British secret service tried to warn him off the scent. Despite this, he finally bwcame convinced that James Bond was not only real but alive and well in Bermuda.
With candour and recall, Bond began to recount the story of his life to Pearson: from his upbringing to the night he lost his wallet and virginity - and found his first love - in Paris; his first assignment saving a bank in Monte Carlo to his duel with the Secret Service; his women, cars and scandals. Bond reveals the most amazing series of adventures only hinted at in Ian Fleming's novels. This revealing biography promises to show a side of Bond never seen before".
I recommend it not only to us Bond fans, but to anyone. It is extremley interesting.
Appologies for not posting it in Literature, but I couldnt find a suitable topic for it.

wow...next time I'm home (or somewhere with a good bookstore) I'll have to go find it! Right now, I'm trying to avoid doing a reflection paper for my English Prof. I just don't feel up to writing right now, but it's due at 1:30 this afternoon. bah. Also, I'm trying to choose a topic for my definition essay. Any ideas?
For about the past 2 weeks it has been very cold and raining all the time (well it is England!)
But today was surprisingly nice, and quite warm at one point.

MY BASEBALL TEAM GOT INTO THE PLAYOFFS! finally...this is the first time since '95 they've gotten in...My school is going absolutely ballistic with joy over this...the TV lounges are crowded every afternoon so we can catch the games. They just played game one in a series with the Phillies, and they won, so they've got a few more against the Phillies...come on boys, your fans deserve this. I'm from Colorado, so the Rockies have always been my team through good times and bad. What I find funny now is that Rockies gear is popping up everywhere on campus...everyone's claiming to be a fan. Only a select few of us, however, have old, dirty, sweat stained caps that show our long time love of our team, and we're constantly trying to explain this to the "new fans." GO ROCKS! YOU CAN DOOO EEEET!

Congrats Pen!
I myself am feeling rather good about sport as England beat Australia at rugby this afternoon and I have just sent my uncle down under a very in your face email lol.
Meanwhile I'm concentrating on preparing for a Performing Arts show next month. I'm playing guitar with my friend Seona and neither of have been playing for that long so we're hoping hard that we'll do alright on the day!
aw you'll do wonderfully. There's nothing like the "Day Of" nerves to get you going.
an update on the Rockies: They've beaten the Phillies in two games, and now they're at home preparing to play the third game. If they win today, the Phillies will be out of the playoffs and the Rocks advance. I reeeeally wish I could be at the game today (my stupid RA is there whithout me...poo Thomas...)...I should send my Aunt in Philadelphia a scathing in your face email...she seems to think her team will pull through...HA! If my guys could crush hers at her home field while being jeered at and having sh!t thrown at them by the fans, then they can FLATTEN them at home in Denver.

Ah hope you do well. I'm following the rugby and looking forward to us playing France - hopefully we'll win. We've got the same team as last game which was great.
Saturday should be good with that in the evening and going shopping in the day! :x
nice. my boys (the rocks) are playing the first of the NLCS (National league Championship Series) games tonight. should be a good time. if they win this series, they will face whoever wins the American League title in the big, winner takes all game. Jeebus...that would be extremely exciting for my state...come on, boyos!
update on my baseball team. they got into the World Series, but were soundly pummeled by Boston in game one...hopefully they get back in the groove tonight...my heart almost broke for one of the players last night...poor Todd, he deserves this som much, and some of his team gave a very lax performance last night...

It's not just this thread...the whole site is very quiet at the moment...I think it's mostly the 'calm before the storm.'
Once work begins in earnest on the new Bond film, and potentially controversial news breaks (like who's been cast, the announcement of the title, etc.), things will heat back up again---and the regular contributors who make AJB what it is will pop in and stay a while. As it is, I think most of them check in a couple of times a day---see that nothing's happening---and then check back out.

One of my cousins recently had a baby girl. My cousin already has two daughters and has three sisters, while her husband has a sister, so you can imagine our surprise when we learned the gender of the baby. ) The oddest thing about it is the name. My oldest niece is called Indigo (or Indy), my second oldest niece is called Jarrah, while my youngest niece has been named Pepper. ) A colour, a tree and a spice; as you can guess, my cousin and her husband are hippies. )

Perhaps you should enter all your children in a mixed league, and one of them could be the sixth 'man.' :v That way, your niece won't miss out.
