my brother and his wife have just found out their first child is actually twins! two for one!
this probably explains why Kate has spent the last 12 weeks throwing up constantly not just in the morning but all day.
Congratulations on this wonderful news. {[] Will this be the first time you become an uncle?

no idea...I'd ask Mantis or one of the other collectors around the forums...hope you find them!
I suppose I will join the fray in announcing my recent achievement of 100 posts. This pales in comparison to some of you folks though. I have no idea if I'll ever get to 2000 posts, let alone the 10000 posts that HB has. I need to find more things to say.
congrats on the post count, guys! I'm FINALLY nearing 2000 myself...after what, five years here?

OMG haven't been to AJB full stop in ages and what do I find when I do arrive - Random Chat completely disappeared!
Is there really nothing random at all to discuss!
I myself have joined a gym and dropped a dress size! Very proud. Might actually look good in a bikini come our holiday to the Carribean.
Otherwise, last week saw the school staff production of Macbeth. My English teacher played Macbeth and was absolutely fantastic. I knew he could act but that just blew me away. Loved it so much me and my mate saw it again friday night lol. I not knowing the play was completely fascinated by almost all aspects of the play, particularly the character of Macbeth.
I have never before been completely drawn in by Shakespere unlike my friend. The first time we did it at school, it made no sense and I didn't get it at all. The second time, I could understand the concepts thanks to little translations of the words at the side, but still couldn't understand the actual Shakesperean speech. However, whilst watching the production, it was like a little light bulb went on inside my head and suddenly everything made sense!
My friend and I have not stopped talking about it and fear will never take any of the staff who participated, seriously again.
Due to my new interest in Shakespere, I'm going at some point with my auntie to see a production of Hamlet, and am planning to look into the RSC production with David Tennant next year.
How's everyone else's lives being going?
Are you all still out there and bothering to venture near Random Chat still?
yay for weight loss! I myself have dropped nearly 15 pounds in the past year and feel better than ever.
ooo the Scottish play...I won't even type the real name 'cause I'm a paranoid theater kid...but I'm glad you enjoyed it! My fave Shakespere is Much Ado About Nothing...^^ so silly.
as for life, mom's been on my arse about getting my grades, which I can't do 'cause my browser hates the server they use to host grades at my college...and she blames me for this...*sigh* I'll have to go to the library and fight one of the annoying little boys (who insist upon playing WOW for hours on end) to use one of the 10 internet computers so I can see my grades...w00tie w00t. Hoping to hit the Renaissance Festival again this weekend, but we shall see how that goes...
Oh I'll toss some of my latest stories in here (though I doubt if anyone will remember me much). The little kid who posted here in early 2005 is all grown up now and headed for college. I am attending Cal State University Monterey Bay this fall and I hope to transfer into UPenn in two years time. I recently turned 18 and graduated from high school which was quite a bit of fun. And yes, that is all!
I'm reading Shakey's Henry V with a translation (it's called No Fear Shakespeare or something). Then I'm gonna watch the Laurence Olivier movie of it, with the battle of Agincourt, followed up with the Joan of Arc movie with Luc Besson.
How on earth you try to understand Shakey from the original text I've no idea.

Let me just say, I've never heard him referred to as Shakey before. Anyway, I think that one can understand him from the original text, it just depends on which text. For example, Romeo and Juliet is pretty easy to understand, while Macbeth also isn't that difficult. That said, I did find Othello to be a little more difficult, so I think it does come down to which play you have chosen to read.

Shakey? ahaha...I usually call him Will or Billium...
Am I the only person who refers to him only as Shakespeare? :v

If I'm in school, it's plain ol' Shakespere...but if I'm discussing things with friends/family, it'll be Will or Billium...:D
What, because you're on such close terms with him? :v

Shakespeare's dead, baby. He aint gonna be offended.
I'm not worried about offending him. ) I just find it a little weird that people have nicknames for a playwright who lived 4 1/2 centuries ago. I love Raymond Chandler, but I don't call him Ray.

Hello, I'm here putting off coursework! )
Not something to be particularly proud of but I've been ill and when my brother brings the 18 and a half page thing home to type up and 'add quotations, detail and ensure you discuss how humour is created on all satirical points', I'm really not that enthusiastic about the whole idea. *sigh*

I finally managed to finish my coursework last night
Am still ill. But getting better.
Thought I should post here before I go completely insane as earlier this morning I said, "Hold on a sec." to my computer as I went to get a tissue. )
