A horrible tragedy. I honestly don't think it's in anyone's interest to jail someone underage. In the late 90's there was a 'murder most foul and unnatural' in Trondheim were several pre-school boys killed a girl the same age. There are only tragedies in these cases.

I'm not a particularly active member of AJB anymore. I tend to pop in for a look around every now and then and rarely post, instead I just enjoy reading the discussions of others.
This time I've popped back because I'm working on my English Literature dissertation. I was incredibly delighted to have my proposal accepted to compare Fleming and le Carré I'm working my way through re-reading a few of the novels and reading some critical texts too. Most my friends are doing science-based projects or history dissertations. I have watched the latter group wading through 16th century records and books on witchcraft, increasingly feeling more confident that I get to do something much more fun! ) Everyone who has asked me what I'm doing reacts with awe and intrigue which further adds to my delight. All seem to agree that I'm doing something particularly exciting.
In a few months when the deadline approaches I may well have grown to hate my topic as the stress piles up, but for me I don't think I could have picked a better one.
