    Some of my favourites would be,

    Eddie Izzard, Jimmy Carr, Mickey Flanagan, Andy Parsons, Sean Lock, and just to be a bit
    Controversial, I don't know why but I don't like Michael McIntyre, yet my wife and kids love
    him. It's the same with Jack Whitehall ( who I can't stand ) but then we all have different
    tastes. :))

    Talking of comedians...just watched Mel Smith - I've sort of done things....a tribute to one of this countries best comedians, along with his fellow cast from not the nine o'clock news. A very good program, which if you've missed (and a fan of him, or the show) I would highly recommend seeing if you can find it on catch up. Griff RJ also provides some very touching narrative... you can tell that they were firm friends, if not total opposites :D

    Such a shame he died so young, but not wholly unexpected looking at his lifestyle.

    Watched that myself. I was a huge fan of not the nine o'clock news and still have many of
    the comedy LPs they made ( long before DVD and videos ) agreed he died far too young.

    :)) Ha, yes, my brother's had those as well...and one of those page a day calendars...I think the first day had "thwap" (or something similar) which meant the sound of breaking the silver foil on a new jar of coffee :)) ..the things you remember!

    Just heard on the news, due to the cold spell hitting America that a little town
    called Hell in Massachusetts has frozen, so hell has frozen over. :))

    The temperature in all 50 US states is below zero celsius, including Hawaii! At the same time the temperature in southern Norway is well on the plus side, my mother talked half-jokingly about moving the lawn. :s

    Hell is actually in Norway (little known fact). Here is a picture. The sky is natural, red clouds is not uncommon this far north. Of course, being this far north, Hell frequently freezes over.

    Back in the 60's whale meat was the cheapest dinner around, so my parents used it as standard student food.
