Aha! Good one! theres a point, another scottish Bond? Ewan macgreggor is scottish isn't he? If so he would have a lot to live up to! Just a thought, what are your views?
Ps, planned my 21st b'day party, even though I'm just 14! It's going to be fancy dress, any Bond character, except Bond himself as I will be Bond! I will find a load of different outfits, the best of Bond! Starting with the traditional tuxedo and working through to the army uniform of Die Another Day. Including such classics as the cream linnen of The World Is Not Enough, the naval commander uniform of Tomorrow Never Dies and the sort of army uniform at the end of Goldeneye, you know what I mean!
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and everyone dies.

Ewan McGregor is Scottish, though I would not like him as Bond. He may be a widely respected, known and popular actor but I am unsure as to how he would portray the harder, tougher, more physical edge of the character. The next Bond I would like to have a hint of menace and more dangerous, something which I doubt McGregor can provide. For that side of the character, Clive Owen would be perfect, but a fellow Scot would possibly be equally proficient in this regard (and who is currently rumoured as a candidate), Gerard Butler. To be honest though, having only seen Butler very briefly in a movie I cannot formulate an objective opinion, but it seems as though he would be capable on the foundation of what others have said.
In addition, I guess it would be nice to have a Scot again as Bond, though that does not cloud my judgement. The only factor should be whether or not they can successfully portray James Bond, whatever that means is a decision of personal opinion and viewpoint, not where they are from.

I have got an idea for your 2000th post, General. For such an important post I suggest that you type a full comprehensive review of Tomorrow Never Dies here in the Random Chat topic. To prepare for this review I suggest you watch TND back to back at least six times. )
By doing this it will prove to all of us that not only are you a mad Russian General, but you are also a real James Bond fan.

Well that might be a problem MNL. I don't have TND, because I refuse to buy it!
But I will take you up on that. Hopefully I will remember, and I will post a new topic detailing my disgust of TND!
Finally, you people got rid of those dreadful question things!
Well, tirpitz, I haven't been on here lately either, but I will explain. You know those question things (as I have already expressed my dislike for them )? Well, The Good General, Moore Not Less, and Lazenby880 have been battling again over who has been the better at insulting each other (clearly of which Moore Not Less would win )), and well, I agree with you, Forum War is breaking out again. . . .

Well as you can see, I have been challenged to review Tomorrow Never Dies for my 2000th post. It will be hard but I think I can do it. It'll have to be in the Films forum. It's only in a few posts time!

I doubt he'll ever be able to prove that.
However, General Ouromov, of all the posts of yours I have read (of which there have been many...) the ones that are of quality are detailing the varying levels of distaste, disgust and disregard you feel towards Tomorrow Never Dies. Therefore I look forward with a reasonable level of anticipation to your promise of a TND post to celebrate your 2000th, which I am sure will be just as good as every one of your other posts.

Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland = United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
We're all British citizens and carry British passports, our Armed Forces are made up of people from all over the UK who fight and die not just for England. The Union Jack is NOT the English flag, it is the British flag - the St George's Cross is the English flag. It really can be very irritating and quite offensive to non-English Britons. Everyone in Europe and the Commonwealth can get it right, perhaps one day America will too; it's really not that hard.

Boy is my face red! How did I miss this.
Jedi, how could you also forget the other British forces, of which the English troops are a part? England is part of the United Kingdom, as is Scotland, Wales (the three of which make up the Great Britain) and Northern Ireland. I'm a Scot, but I am British too, as are the English.
As Moonie says, it really isn't that difficult, and it really is quite annoying since there are many Scottish troops in Iraq at the moment fighting for Queen and Country.
Also, perhaps I shouldn't bring this up but I was watching Fox News the other day and during a news bulletin on something in London a map was helpfully shown of the UK, but with 'England' splashed across the whole map, I just about choked.
Wow wow guys, I am perfectly aware that the troops in iraq are from Great Briton, call it a typo or whatever but I was just typing out my thoughts, its how my posts work! And I thought of english instead of British, my apologies.
PS
I am perfectly aware of what the union flag represents thank you, I did not mention anything about it or claim that it was "our flag" so please just correct what I get wrong! (Not meaning to sound too choppy, although I think I did! My apologies again!)
BTW M5 when you say perhaps america will get it right too someday, are you saying I'm american???
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and everyone dies.
OH yeah I forgot to say, about the "united" kingdom of great briton and northern ireland.
How United are we if we have to say northern ireland seperately? How united are we if ireland itself, part of our community, part of our lifes, part of our "neighbourhood" is not part of our kingdom? How united are we if, well I can't think of anything else!!!
I'm not having a go at you guys alright, but we call ourselfs the united kingdom and, well, all the points I have just made! I personally think the united kingdom and great briton (which somehow are 2 seperate things) should merge with ireland and become the REAL United Kingdom, what do you guys think!?
On a lighter note, I would like to become a member of the Rosamund Pike's Avatars are way overated society, I can't remember the exact name, I'll get it right in my sig though, just looking for the presidents aprooval here!
