Excuse me, but I doubt you've even seen Sly's old one, and simply posting no without any reasons to back it up it stupid. So, please be more polite.

P.S. I think it looks great Sly Fox!

Hey, thanks, Tirpitz! The reason that I changed it in the first place was because everyone else was changing theirs, so I figured that it was best to change and not to keep the same one forever. I guess it's like Hardyboy's photo: Everyone knows him by it, so he sticks with it! I guess it'll be the same with me!. . . .At least for a while, anyway. ;)

:)) Yes, cheers to Random Chat and Jedi Master for letting us have such a fine time in this topic! {[]

Hey, Jedi, did you ever think that a simple "chat" topic would reach such high posts and last so long? :D

Note: Sorry for the second post, I just thought this was too off-topic from my last post to include this. ;)

Oh well thank you all very much but I have to say it is not all my doing, the General played a huge part, and of course everyone else who apreciated how great a series Buffy The Vampire Slayer was! But most of all the success of the thread is down to you guys, just liket the success of the site is down to the members and the success of Britain is down to the avarage family with 2.5 children! Wow, all that writing just for that one line!

Anyway thanks, avatar looks great Sly, Tripitz I'm disapointed in you, abandoning your pride and joy (HMS Tripitz) for a picture of Rosmand Pike!
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and everyone dies.

Jedi, poor use of terminology again. HMS= His or Her Majesty's Ship.
    Example:
    HMS Devonshire

    Correct use= DKM= Deutsche Kriegsmarine

    Example

    DKM Tirpitz

PROMISE ME YOU WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!
  • tirpitztirpitz Posts: 339MI6 Agent
Yeah!! And what about the USS Titanic?
  • Jedi MasterJedi Master UKPosts: 1,093MI6 Agent
Oh just leave me alone, how should I know what to call a German ship, and what do you care anyway with your dam Rosamund Pike. I feel more and more isolated every time I come on this website!! lol

Seriously though (Yes I was only joking!!) Ok ok I put HMS rather than Dk, erm what was it again!?

Jen, I doubt you'll have problems looking for a good RP pic. My math placement test was yesterday, and I got a 17/25, bad for a regular test, but a score over 15 puts you into the honors class! But I'm about to take that stupid 2nd Quarter Exam.

P.S. - SiameseFightingFish, and Jedi, how can you think RP is overrated?!

    BLOODY BLEEDING SNOW!

What's the matter with this ******* country. An inch of snow falls and everything grinds to a ******* halt.

I feel better for that. My 20 mile journey home from work normally takes about 35 minutes. Today it took 4 hours It started snowing about half past three and it was heavy, like a blizzard. By 4 o'clock there was no sign of it easing so I asked my boss if I could go home early and he said yes. The snow eased up considerably about quarter past four and stopped soon after, but by then the damage had been done. During that 45 minute period approximately an inch of snow fell and that's all it took to cause gridlock.

I should be grateful that it did stop snowing otherwise I would most likely have been stranded overnight in the middle of nowhere. It wouldn't surprise me though if I turn on my radio in the morning and find out that some motorists in other areas have been stranded overnight. Which is exactly what happened when the same thing happened last January. It took me 2 hours and 45 minutes to get home that day.

Well, Moore Not Less, it snowed almost like a blizzard here in December. . . .It was the first snowstorm this state has gotten since 1996!! They cancelled school for a whole week because of it. Speaking of school, I just had the first half of Quarter 2 finals as well. . .The other half is tomorrow.

Oh, by the way, I don't plan on joining the Rosamund Pike Avatars Club, nor am I planning on joining The Rosamund Pike Avatars Are Overrated Society. I'm not changing my avatar because that is what everyone knows me by (not to mention that it goes with my name as well ;)). No, I don't think that they are overrated, I just think that my avatar is unique, and that is how I want it to be! :)

Britons seem to be less hardy than I thought. Today, 14 inches fell and only school ground to a halt. :)

Do you live in Antarctica? tirpitz.

England as a nation (especially the South) is not used to any significant snowfalls, it is such a rare occurrence these days. So when the snow really falls it causes gridlock. Yesterday's snowfall had been forecast since the end of last week, but it made no difference. The authorities don't seem to have any proper plan of action to deal with snow. It seems they just send the gritters out and hope for the best.

You are soooo right, I hadn't even noticed it but you are!!!

New York gets about a metre of snowfall and business goes on as normal, they have what we call, brains (and snowplows!). Our government could learn a lot from the USA!! But hey its the most snow we will ever get so why can't things grind to a halt!

Hey behappy that there is a land brigde connecting north to south america! if there wasnt the current wouldnt bring any warm air up to the northern provinces, and the glaciers would come back and you'd have more problems then just an inch of snow MNL, you'd have ice and frigid temps, course it is spose to get to -25F tonight (-31C) brrrrr.that cold.

Yeah between snowplows and bobcats we have many ways of removing snow, but its tobad we dont get off of school for a week, weve only had one snow day. grrrr. tirpitz, you lucky.

A land bridge? I knew that America was good for something. God save America, but not the Americans. I am much happier that there is a sea bridge (the Atlantic Ocean) between the USA and England. :))

Oh, come, now! We must be good for something besides a land bridge!!!!! I expected the occasional insult to me, but this is ridiculous!!! Let's not start a war, again! I don't insult your country, so don't insult mine!

Let's all have peace, brother! :))

Oh, we're much more than a land bridge. I live around NYC, and the local governments are very effective snow-wise. They have the plows and salters out the moment snowflakes start to fall.

I wish my state was like that. . . .Here they haven't had snow in seven years, so now they just got some and they didn't even have snowplows! There was ice on the roads for two weeks! But, I suppose if you don't get snow for seven years, you have an excuse. . . .But I still think that they should be prepared!

Well you say that but it's like the fire strike here in England. You may not have heard about this in America but a short while ago firefighters all over the country went on strike. Obviously this puts the country in a huge amount of danger! So the army had to fill in. Because the last time this happened was some time in the sixties or something, the equipment that the government had was just useless, thousands of people died because the Green Goddesses (Army fire engines) just weren't nearly good enough. You see how the two are similar?! I think that its good in a sense though because if something is so rare you have a right to go crazy about it don't you?!

no no guys, thats not what i ment! :))
i ment the pannama isthmas, yeah know the country of pannama, I guess(at least this is what my Bio teacher says) that a long time ago, the volcanoes broke through the seas surface wear pannama is today, and they broke the current sending it north, carrying the warm carrabean air to euope and all. that receaded the glaciers and it caused the saharra to become the desert it is today.
Honestly, did you seriously think id call the USofA a land bridge!!! :))

Hey, you. You wanna fight? Huh?!

Come on lets stop bullying each others countries! England, Scottland, (2 "t"s?)Irelandand, Northern Ireland, Wales and America each have their own qualities and flaws, but when it comes down to the crunch we're all equal really, aren't we?! (Well obviously the USA has a much bigger army! But you get my point right?)

It is not wise to argue with a moderator, as he may decide to manipulate your posts in an attempt to make you look stupid.

If Moore Not Less can do that to me without actually altering my posts, M5 can sure as hell do it to you, JM! :)) ;)
