The sooner it becomes the "ex" Factor the better, late one night came home and my
Daughters had it on and the singers were crap, off key or flat and they still
Got put through. ) sadly most pub singers have more talent !
( maybe, I should have put this in the rant thread !) )

"The tough man of the world. The Secret Agent. The man who was only a silhouette." - Ian Fleming, Moonraker (1955).
I don't know what it is about the x factor, but it's one of those
TV shows. I feel like putting my boot through the Telly when I
Happen to chance across it. X-( All these stories from wannabes,
About how singing is their life, could do anything else. Next thing they're
On "this morning" as a presenter ( all thoughts of being a singer forgotten )
If they'd just be honest and call it " make me famous for anything " )

{[] Congratulations to the German people. -{
The documentaries I've seen on East Germany, life looked
Very grim and a real "1984", with the secret police keeping files
On everyone. The weirdest fact was the Stasi keeping thousands
Of peoples underpants, to give their dogs a scent, should they try
To escape !

My Dad was stationed along the west/east Frontier in Berlin during the early to mid eighties. He once told me that he was within throwing Distance of the Russians and that he could see them moving about at the Checkpoint.

Since I am a genuine pub singer I can't comment. And I don't watch that show.

Sadly the show isn't about finding talent It's all about the judges ! It's
ALL about the judges. I actually think it's cruel to build up the hopes of these
Talentless wannabes, only in a couples of weeks later to discard them for
" not being good enough" when everyone could see they weren't good enough
On week one.
Also says a lot for " British" talent if after looking all over Britain, this is all they
Could find ! And of course we all know there is a big, big shortage of boy bands
So we definitely need another ! )

NP you saucy Devil! I've missed you ajb007/lol
I am unashamed to say I devoured the Fifty Shades trilogy.
Very badly written. Obviously was never edited but non the less strangely compelling ...
I'll have to go and see the movie out of curiosity
I skim read most of the first one but it did go on a bit. That said, the author did know her approach, it seemed less porny than many of the imitators because it had that Jane Austin vibe; it didn't use slang words for genitalia and so on. It was almost a bit like that Armtrong Miller sketch in which the two Victorians dance at the ball and trade erudite suggestive filth at each other, actually quite arousing.
Against my better judgement, the film does seem erotic and the actress seems well cast. That said, Sam Taylor Wood's Nowhere Boy about Lennon didn't do much for me at all...
I did recall you'd read the 50 Shades Trilogy, Lady Rose, it wasn't just random generated filth on my part...
Do you think thats there AS is? It would explain his vanishing Act )
) No sorry guys , one of those last minute things , ooohhh I think we should decorate the lounge
for Christmas, (whats this we crap) . I had to unscrew the plug sockets for the wallpapering ,so no juice
for the laptop ,but now im back , (who said oh no ) )

Little uneasy, reducing the horror of the first world war, to a cheery
Advert for a supermarket. I thought I may have been the only one but
It seems the advert is getting a mixed reaction.
