I think you mean he's not bad looking as a 50 year old. I'd be Darth Vader.

    Hey neither is Pierce!

Jedi, if you're thinking of living in the US, think through it first. You never know whether the investment is worth it.

All I know is i've already been twice (I'm 14) and not wanted to come home at all, I'm going to visit again in the neither near nor distant future, and if, when it's time to move out, I still feel the same way I am going to move to America. Don't worry it's not some spontaneous thing that I'm just going to do without even thinking! It will be thought through so much that people will forget about it before it happens!

Anyway, one of you (sly I think but I cant remember (sorry! I'm terrible at remembering names and things of people on the internet!)) was telling me about spyware a while ago. Well, I didn't do anything about it and accidentally deleted the email so could I possibly have the URL again! And sorry again for forgetting who it was, I have a terrible memory!

Well, if you remember, I made a suggestion of moving to UK. Yet, if you remember, I changed my mind due to the prices. So if you move here, it will probably be the same with you. Of course, you'd have an advantage over me since the Pound is worth about double the Dollar.

Anyway, yes it was me who talked to you about spyware (I can't remember back that far either, but I'm usually the one who talks to AJB members about spyware). If you want a good website for battling spyware, go to SpywareInfo.com, for . . . Well, what it says: Info on spyware. ;) You can also go to Safer-Networking.org and get Spybot S&D (Search and Destroy), one of the best spyware removal programs out there. If you go to the topic "Pornography" in the Help Forum, I have also posted this there.

Thanks, I knew it was you!!

Well the reason I've decided to act is because I've recently been getting loads of pop-ups all over the place on random sites, even one here, which is very annoying! So I thought I'd do something about it. Thanks again, bye!

This is the 999th reply to this thread, but the 1000th post.

So congratulations to the Random Chat Topic firstly. I was going to count how many posts each of us has done here, and list us in order.. but after getting to Jedi Masters 100th only on page 17, I gave up.

    Congratulations, Random Chat!! {[]

Isn't it amazing how long this topic has gone on? I mean, I can almost remember seeing this topic on the front page when I first joined (which, by the way, was July of last year)! I didn't go into it for a good two or three months because I thought it was just a bunch of idiots' desperate attempts to make a name for themselves. ;) That, and with a name like "Jedi Master and General Ourumov Chat," I thought no one else would have the right to go into it, since it seemed to be an exclusive thing just for Master Jedi and The Good General. When I finally decided to go into it and see what all the fuss was about, more people did the same. Now we have one of the longest running topics on this whole site! :)

By the way, Jedi Master. I was just looking at the first post, and it said that your mental list of things you like included The Matrix, James Bond, West End, Speed (the film, not the drugs!) and Buffy, the Vampire Slayer. Yet, with a name like "Jedi Master," I would think Star Wars would be in that list as well. ;)

You said that you visted San Francisco in an earlier post. Jedi let me tell you something. I live just outside San Francisco. I'm 28. I still live at home with Mom. I have a part time job(trying to get full time but...).My hourly wage is 19.04 an hour. Giveth my car payments keep me at home. But when those are done, I just might have to share an apartment with a friend. If you move out to America do alot of research. Find a good paying job, maybe talk a couple of your friends to come with you, if you decide to come. This is a great country to live in. Just be sure that the job you find can cover all expense's in this country. It seems like my paychecks are only $380.00 a week. Average one bedroom aprtment in my area is about $700-$800 a month. Think long and hard man. Great country, but it seems it's hard to get ahead. Good Luck!

I think Jedi Master means that if we each had one unit of currency for every post(i.e., one Dollar/one Pound every post), then by this time next year if there were enough posts we could all be billionaires.

I have no idea why being an American would cause one to not understand this. Then again, I'm also an American and I might be wrong about my explanation! Please explain what you meant, Jedi Master!! :)

No I'm not saying you don't understand the concept of money. Here in Britain there is a famous sitcom "Only Fools And Horses" Which, despite being old, is still one of the best around. It was about brothers who were rouge traders, am I right!? (I'm asking other Brits) And in one episode they find they have an incredibly valuable watch tucked away with all their junk. So they auction it and it sells for 6.2 million pounds. (thats about 12 million dollars) So they live it up and at the end of the episode one of the brothers is trying to persuade the other to invest the remainder of their money and as they walk into the sunset his last line is:
"This time next year we could be billionaires"

Thats why I said that, I had just seen that episode and I was bored!

Okay, now since this topic was on the second page, this is getting quite boring. How about we continue on with our computer discussion? That was successful, wasn't it? :)

Anyway, I just got a scanner! A very nice HP ScanJet. It is a flatbed that does a great job with pictures. What other computer accessories do you guys have?

At least someone's interested in this topic. Thanks, Mr. Martini! :)

Sounds like you have a nice printer! I wouldn't know much about the stats on my printer, other than it is an HP DeskJet 3820C. I haven't had inkjet cartriges for it since . . . Well, when I first got the computer and printer, which was over a year ago!!! :)) I do know that it prints very good quality, though, and that the ink cartriges are very expensive, so you can probably guess why I haven't replaced them. ;)
  • Mr MartiniMr Martini That nice house in the sky.Posts: 2,707MI6 Agent
I hear that. When I bought my printer the salesman told me that I needed extra ink cartridges. So I bought extra cartridges. He said the ones that come with the printer aren't good that I need better ones. Anyway when I got home and opened the box, the ink cartidges that came with the printer were the same think that I bought. So I returned the other cartridges and am still using them.
