It's a bit icy round these parts, and there are certain roads I don't fancy driving this time of year- a pity, cos they're the more fun roads to take. I did have a bit of a skid on one a few years back, no-one hurt but I needed a Land-Rover to pull the car out of the hedge.

ive been watching a lot of cowboy (westerns) lately ,and one thing keeps bothering me .
When a cowboy or Cavalry man gets shot with an Indians bow and arrow ,would they have died that quick ?? Now on the Ray Mears shows ,the native Indians/tribes men shoot an arrow into a small animal in comparison to a man ,and then they follow it for days until it dies . Any input to this Hollywood phenomenon.

Read in todays paper ,that the POLICE ,have identified 12 (red) hot spots for crime on Londons tube ,if and when it goes 24 hour .
Now they are sort of saying ,these stations are the ones that you are most likely to become a victim of crime , from being raped ,beaten up ,robbed ,assaulted ,ect ect , The British Transport Police (BTP) or as we called them, be there presently have employed another 65 constables to deal with the 24 hour tube ,well ,that's about £2.2m in wages ,(without employers contributions) and no overtime ect .it seems the only people wanting it open 24 hours are TFL ,the criminals, the rapists,pick pockets,and the drunks who don't know when to say no more drink ive got to go home, the tube staff don't want it ,"oh but we must be like New York ,they have a 24 hour city " .Any one who says that ,obviously has never been there 8-) .They cant run it properly now ,without stretching the staff even thinner on the ground ,
