My tribe has an expression: "en glad laks", meaning 'a happy salmon'. We use it about someone who has a happy moment or has a sunny personality. Is there a fish-related expression like that in English?
The reason I was asking was because people were backing in fish-related expressions because of the arrest of the "deadliest catch"-guy. I wanted to know if there is a fish-related expression meaning (more or less) the same as our "happy salmon"

Yesterday I was at the grand opening of the Loen Skylift, the steepest gondola skylift ride in the world. It goes from near sea level to about a thousand meters above sea level very quickly. The lady in the gondola is Queen Sonja, who opened the attraction. Eagle-eyed members can see me on the ground in this picture:
While the queen's gondola went up, five skydivers jumped down. This is the resturant at the top:
This photo is from the testing of the skylift earlier this year. If any of you comes to visit, I'll be happy to take you there for a Bondian experience :007)

My thoughts are with the people of Manchester and Britain after the attack last night. I hope all members here and their friends and family are safe. The ideology that sees crowds of young people as ideal targets of violence is sick.

I'm in a quiet incandescent rage about the attack in Manchester, in my opinion to actively target children has crossed what should be an uncrossable line. I think the terrorism laws need bolstering and anyone suspected of any level of terrorism / supporting terrorism / harbouring or not forwarding any knowledge of a would be terrorist should be heavily punished. Thunderpussy has reported people on Facebook posting support for the suicide bomber!!! This should be totally not tolerated on any level.
It saddens me greatly that Sir Roger who worked tirelessly to help and protect children with unicef may well have seen news of this terror attack during his last hours..... I hope not.
I just saw that homeless people were among the very first to help the victims.
"Why? I'm human." said one of them.
That's what must be missing with the terrorist and his supporters - humanism.
I personally think the time has come, that if you, through your extremist actions come to the
attention of the police and security services. You should immediately face prison or deportation.
Harsh, I agree but I'm more concerned with keeping citizens safe rather than worrying about the
rights of extremists.

Indeed - something of an understatement, truth be told.

And compassion and morals and honour I could go on about what terrorists are missing.

Here's a car I followed today
Needless to say it didn't pass me....I passed it
Hes a victim of the long arm of the claw
Like a fish out of water
A different kettle of fish
Holy mackerel
Happy as a clam
Trout pout
I'm sure there are more I've forgotten and more I don't know.
( even though salmon looks more high-spirited than clams.. ..)
