Here in Norway a number of young women have accused the deputy leader (Trond Giske) of the Labour Party of sexual harassment. It's possible that Giske has ended his political career that quite possibly could have made him Prime Minister in the future.

Here in my area of the US the old Christmas trees are picked up with other yard waste for recycling. Just leave them curbside on the designated day.
I was more saddened ,that the tree that they had chosen ,taken home ,decorated and enjoyed for 4 weeks , had just been callously tossed out ,with out the decency of being put to good use ,right you you’ve had your time in the house now get out
In my old house the Christmas tree was cut up and burned in the klondike stove, which filled the dining room with a wonderful aroma.
Take heart AS that dumped tree will eventually decompose and provide nutrient to the forest floor. there is a certain irony in a tree being returned to the woods
Far more heinous was the 40 odd used car tyres I found in our local woods last weekend! Which is endemic of the travellers I'm afraid, what's more the woods are named the Bishops woods as they were his private hunting woods and trespassers were likely heavily punished back then.

I had an odd experience on Friday. I was a bit late for work when I got into my car, just to discover the battery was flat. I ran up the hill to my parents house and grabbed the keys to their number two car, a small Renault. Back in the garage I discovered the window on the driver's side was 1/3 open. When I tredje to shut it I found the window had frozen to the door and was stuck!
I gave up closing the window after a while. I set the heat in the car on max, put my knitted cap on and started driving. It was a 45 minute drive (in Norway in January) so I didn't look forward to it, especially since the radio doesn't work. Actually it wasn't that bad, I didn't even need to wear my jacket. After just half an hour I managed to shut the window, but the radio still wasn't working. What a morning
Recently Mr. Trump was mocking about where the Climate Change was when the cold weather hit the North of the USA.
Ignorance is bliss and I am hearing that quite often from some populists.
They all mix up weather with climate. Climate is the global result of local weather observations over a very long time.
So, weather is when it snows in the Sahara. It happened and will happen again.
But it says nothing about the climate there or globally.
