Hi danjaq off , being a Freemason myself , it could be a service medal from the war , these chaps provided ambulance services to injured empire troops ,The Royal Antediluvian order of Buffaloes , are a fraternal branch of freemasonry ,and I think they was absorbed into the United grand lodge of England UGLE , due to dwindling members ,a lot got killed in the wars ,and obviously as the British army got more advanced , they didn't have to rely on volunteers to man ambulances , but don't take my words as gospel .But there is a very good company called Toye Kenning and Spence ,I get my police and mason medals from them , they are the experts in this kind of stuff ,send them a e-mail with a picture , I'm sure they can help you

The two bars and the cross are silver, the badge is just a badge. The Maple leaf is a Canadian pin. I have a red sash thing with gold embroidery and the branch "Thames Ditton". he was an RAF Policeman, and old bill when he came out, a right spiteful bastard.
So I was thinking if there was a masonic museum that would want them, I would be more than happy to donate.

If you're interested in the other side of the coin, right-wing radicalization, read "One of us" by the same author. That book is about the terrorist Breivik and the Utøya attack.
Seierstad is a major documentary writer who writes in a way that makes her books feel like a novel. Her books are probably translated to your native language and having recieved excellent reviews.
Many of us has followed the dramatic rescue operation in the Phillipines. Hope is fading for the boys' football team trapped in a flooded cave. We still hope for a miracle :x
A truly sad story, I think it's now ten days since the lads went missing.
So although you can never give up hope, I think many are now waiting on sad news.

Sad, but true. One might think the boys have water, but divers say the water is like coffee. I other words it's too poluted to drink. They say most humans can live three minutes without air, three days without water and three weeks without food.

Thank you for your concern N24 but these boys are from Thailand and in a Thai cave although Philippine caving experts are helping in the search. Let's all hold hope that these boys are found safe and well.

Did they find some reasonably clean water or did they have to drink the very dirty water the divers told about?
I think three weeks without water is the official limit. They might have had a little bit food with them for the trip. There was obviously water, the question is how drinkable it was.
The drama isn't over yet. When can the boys get out of the cave? The authorities are still trying to drain the cave so they can wade out. There is also talk of giving the boys osme quick training and driving gear and lead them out underwater!
First I assume divers will bring them dry clothes, clean water and food in waterproof packages.
