I've felt sorry for Lewinski for years. Most of us did stupid stuff in our youth, imagine getting harrassed for it all over the world for decades! The way she has handled it is impressive. Respect!

I haven't seen the clip but know what she's about. What happened to her is a matter of perception really. Other young women would be caught out doing worse and flaunt it - Paris Hilton and Jordan for instance - and it would all be on film, so in a way it would all seem brazen and unapologetic. That is in defiance of slut-shaming, and I guess that's a measure of progress in a way.
Lewinsky got caught and it's like she was the one caught with her pants down, not Bill. In part because the press supported him as President and so on, it became a binary conflict.
Also - and this may be deemed offensive but like I say perception counts for a lot and so on - Lewinsky just didn't have the look for the activities she was said to be caught up in. If she'd had the cheekbones and been a certain type, she could have been seen as an object to be coveted, and played to the crowd, esp as Americans often love a go-getter. But she just didn't seem the type to capitalise on her instant infamy. She looked caught in the headlights.

There is also news from very close to the coast of Norway. A cruise ship is in trouble in heavy seas and 1300+ passengers are being evacuated by helicopter. This is one of the roughest parts of the coastline, no islands to break the waves from the Atlantic.
They have five helicopters, but every passenger has to be lifted off the ship by wire one by one. About 160-70 are saved by now, but the rescue will take all night. The passengers are Scotish and American. A large cargo ship tried to get to them to pull them away from the coast, but now that ship is in serious trouble too. Five out of nine crew members had to jump ship and get rescued by helicopters. Now the good news: Earlier none of the engines one the cruise ship worked earlier, but now three out of four are working. Large tug boats are on their way.
This is Hustadneset, one of the two worst sections of the coast. There are plans to build a ship tunnel to bypass the other risky section.
