It's irresponsible to spread such stories. I think our media has behaved most of the time, but when a scientist said 20-70% of the population could get Covid-19 a newspaper ran the headline "70% can get the virus".
Please let me know roughly the right timestamp so that I can narrow it down (it's a 3 hour show).
So far from what I am hearing, the reporting about Corona worldwide is professional, responsible, accurate and careful - I have no indicator of any sensationalist speculations so far but will come back if there is.

Just one more reason why so many Britains
Want an end to the licence fee, as the BBC
Is no longer an impartial news service
I have no idea of the time point, I know it was before " Thought for the day " that's as close as I can remember, although it gives me immense

If this helps, at about 08.10 they usually have a feature on the day's biggest topic so that would be my guess.
At 25 past each hour they have a sport report, followed at around the half hour by headlines so you can skip those parts.
When it comes to climate change I'm with the BBC. The evidence gathered by scientists is now very clear. I don't see why they should pretend there's any doubt because the internet, a very small number of scientists, some of the media and right-wing politicians say otherwise. To quote the TV series "The Newsroom": "If the Republican Party one day says the Earth is flat, our headline won't be Republicans and Democrats disagree on flatness of Earth" There's nothing extreme about believing in science.

Earth's temp, ok. Then why is the temp on
Mars also on the increase ?

I don't think we have any cars or factories there .

I've never heard the Mars argument before, but the climate deniers are sure getting desperate! There is a near consensus in the science world and the facts on the ground supports what's in their reports.
