Personally I'd say that it's much easier to randomly dive into the conversation rather than reading up, however amusing it is :P.
My hometown won't be turning 100 for a few more years now, despite the fact that safely half of the population is retired.
As for New Year's Eve, sadly enough I spent 3 hours playing Trivial Pursuit and ended up tying. I did immediately figure out the following question, being a Bond fan: "Which fictional character has appeared next to Claudine Ager, Kim Basinger, Maud Adams, Britt Eklund, and Ursula Andress?"
And yes, they actually mispelled two of the actresses' names on the card. The horror!
But on a slightly distubring note, I learned from that game that after 20 years and $20 million, the CIA finally stopped using psychics in 1995. Makes you wonder about where all of the money goes sometimes...
Flattery will get you nowhere, but don't stop trying.
But I'm almost certain no government would bother reading a simple Bond Forum off topic random thread...

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and everyone dies.
I have no idea how old Boulder is...eh...and for those who havegiven me advice about "that guy" (you know...) I shall tell you that he SMILED at ME today! it was quite wonderful, and I had a great day after it! w00t!
My town (Veszprem) has been found around the turn of the first millenium and is famous for being the home of the Hungarian queens (well, wives of kings) for nine-hundred years.

I'm afraid if you try and give clues about American towns, or just cities in places other than Britain, in fact just South-Eastern England I'm stumped!
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and everyone dies.
Im am gonna go ahead and say Milwaukee after my quick conference with the globe right above me. I thought Milwaukee was a little more north, but I guess I was wrong.
I'm going to be different and say, actually I can't I don't know the names of any other town which I know where they are and they are near there! (Understand? Because if you do could you explain it to me please?)
There are also places called Oxford and Waterloo, you yanks, when are you gonna come up with your own names for towns!? Lol, I'm just kidding, please take no offence from that!
Ok I'm looking at my atlas and my guess is... is it near Appleton?
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and everyone dies.
Cat you hit the nail on the head.
I do live in the great Circus City of America!
Good guesses though. Milwakke is to big of a city for me. Baraboo has enough traffic!! LOL
But i wouldn't mind liveing in Green Bay, since I am a very very very! big Packer fan.
I knew it! I guessed you live somewhere very special and a town established by circus people is sure one special place. Though the name still bogs me...
Do you commemorate the circus past in any ways? Circus festival, museum or a little plaquet?
Oh yeah every year we have a circus parade. Usually it is held in Milwakee but they didn't have the funds for this year. It is a huge event thousands of people show up for it and there are animals of all kinds. I actually rode my horse in the parade. My freinds and I were flag bearers since we the third part of the parade. It was a ton of fun and will probably take place this year again too around July 4. There is also a very large museum in town which holds a real cicus evey summer.
The Amazing, hidden Cat! erm..yea you guys know where I live...and it is hippie central USA...I'm not kidding, it's crazy!

Uhm... I already told you where I live, but you can guess where I am at the moment. It will be hard.
That'll be Budapest then? Merging from Obuda, Buda and Pest in the 9th century.Been there on vacation in the early nineties liked it a lot, especially the nightlife for a 20 year old was exquisite.
Can you guess where I was born and lived for 30 years ?
A city in southern Germany founded by a Roman emperor round about 15 B.C.

Okay, without my travel guide I'd guess Munich (you're a Bavarian after all), but i don't know when the city was founded...

Munich is close, not far from Munich, not as big as Munich but older, think Munich was founded more than 700 years later.
But if you'd like some interesting trivia about Tucson, Arizona...here you go:
It was founded in 1776 by the Spanish. Before that, it was the location of a native american village, making it the oldest continuing "city" in the United States.
It also has the unique privilege of having been the only walled city in the U.S., back when the Spanish built the presidio to protect against warring Apaches.

Good to have you back with us, Mr. Fighting Fish. We missed you. All you have to do to catch up is read about, say, 60 pages.

now nay of you guys have some towns to guess?
Do you commemorate the circus past in any ways? Circus festival, museum or a little plaquet?
So who else has a town for us to guess at?
The place was found in 1871 by merging together three cities into a very big one.
The city held a large world fair in 1896 to commemorate 1000 years of history.
