In a country which is made up of over 7000 islands, I wouldn’t expect anyone to know more than the basic geography to be fair. And as @Silhouette Man says - 200 miles ain’t that bad!
Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

Not exactly, @Number24 but in this country we have so-called Smart motorways, perhaps the dumbest innovations of the last decade, where cars aren't meant to break down because there's no hard shoulder, they have to pootle along somehow until they come to a stopping point. Wheeled out under then transport minister Chris Grayling - my local MP - though he didn't initiate them, they are notorious deathtraps.
Anyway, I posted to say it's all over, in a way. On Pointless, a UK quiz show to test obscure knowledge, one of the subjects as No Time To Die. The idea was to mention a cast member no-one else in 100 could, so obviously not Daniel Craig (though Lea Seydoux only got 1 or 2, surprisingly.) I couldn't honestly name any of them, not the new black 007, nor Jeffery Wright or Naomi Harris, struggled to remember the name of Blofeld actor and certailny the main villain escaped me. Admittedly I've been trying to forget the film this last two years and admittedly these actors haven't been in too much since have they? I'd have nightmares of appearing on this show and getting your specialist subject and still messing it up. a bit like that scene in the comedy Father Ted when he gets asked 'Oooh, they'll say it's been rigged! Okay, can you give me the name of the current Pope? Take your time!' and the ponderous theme tune kicks in as an aggrieved Father Ted considers his answer over the closing credits.
Don't worry , Nap, I saw that episode too and and it took me almost the whole minute to remember Naomi Harris. I forgot Malik, Waltz, Wright, De Armis, Lynch, and couldn't even remember Hugh Dennis. Mind, it was also telling that of the 100 people asked very few could name anybody in NTTD. I wonder if the same 100 could name an actor in The Mandalorian?
Yeah, that came on the 24-hr news late last night, brought it home to me. Something like 100,000 locals evacuated and going by what happened a few years ago, they may have to stay out of the area for some months, it's not just a case of, Okay back home in a fortnight.

That looks awful. I hope all the local population have been able to get to a place of safety. We don't know how lucky we are living in places where natural disasters are not a common occurrence.

Today was Trooping the Colour in London, a display of military marches and music done each year to mark the monarch's birthday. There was a flypast of military aircraft and this group of Typhoon fighter jets flew in formation to tell everyone what King Charles's favourite James Bond film is:

Of course I wish you and everyone in the area the best.
I should have made it clear @Number24 that the volcano is on a different island 200 miles from Cebu City.
Good for you! it's also been made painfully clear that I don't know much about the geography of the Philliphines, and that not good for me. 😣
Don't worry. You were only 200 miles out. Not too bad.

Indeed. 7000 islands?! I had no idea there were so many. That's mad!
That's 6000 more than Finland has lakes (according to common knowledge)!
And they say it's a small world! 🙄

Today near Narvik, Norway.
Today I went for a nice drive in the nice weather while listening to James Bond title songs. Have you ever seen a sign like this before? 🤔

Looks like the Mayon Volcano may blow its top. The alert has been raised to 3 and 10,000 people have been relocated from the area.
It’s started…
That is very scary.
I've never seen anything like that. I hope for the best for the local population.

😃
Charles Rex has excellent taste in Bond movies! 😁
It's amazing what you C in the sky these days.
it's really a coded message that the production of Bond26 has already started. Only true fans pick up on it.
Could R be making a comeback?
Mayon Volcano Uodate…
Over 20,000 people have now been relocated and the lava flow has reached 1.5km.
Frightening. Glad you're out of range - you ARE out of range, you did say that, didn't you?
Yes, we’re on a different island about 200 miles away. Thanks for the concern, though.
