I just got the Jaws soundtrack through today. It's amazing how difficult it can be to obtain an Oscar-winning score can be.
I ordered the Jaws DVD some time back and Amazon didn't have it in stock! I had to buy a Region 1, U.S Import. The soundtrack took a long time for them to get hold of and ship too, 3 months to be precise. With a film like Jaws though; I thought Amazon of all companies would have that sorted.
Truly, the Jaws soundtrack can inspire fear into some younger viewers. But I've heard it so many times, even spoofed, it just makes me laugh to hear it.
Yeh that can be a big problem when making films can't it? Like in Charlies Angels Full Throttle (It was aweful, I only had to see it because they wouldn't let us into The Matrix Reloaded and the rest of the party wanted to) But whenever the main bad guy came on they played the SideShow Bob music, I laughed my head off!!

Anybody know how to set up a network??? I am trying to network my tower with my laptop. I do what the instructions say, and then the damn thing quits working. Any suggestions?
It NEVER works. My father tried to set it up and took him a week. All I can say is see whether you have firewalls that migh block the connection and the type of operation system counts as well, because some upgrade packs of Windows (God bless you, Bill) simply block all connection... So you could be safe!
Best of luck, jbfreak. My dad's an electrical engineer, and he nearly pulled out his hair trying to get our home wireless connection to work with my laptop. When you're referring to the tower, are you talking about the wireless network reciever?
Not that anybody's interested, but my circuit breaker is mysteriously working again. Actually, my personal theory is that the mice in my basement got really hungry again and started nibbling on some more wires, so as a precaution I had the tremendous luck of crawling around in the dirt to replace them. Thanks for all of the help
Flattery will get you nowhere, but don't stop trying.
my mom set up my network, but she made the big mistake of making my computer the central control for the 2 other computers in the house, so therefore, they cannot access the net unless mine is turned on, which I find hillariously funny...^^

No, the computer part, the big part that has the cd player and the floppy drive.
I dno't know though. I think we are going to take this junk back and get our money back. Stupid computers!
Jbfreak, about your situation, if you have Windows XP, then there is a network wizard already on it. My brother did most of the set up but the main computer doesnt have the control over whether people can go on or not. We put the wireless network in and put the network box in the floor between the two floors where the computers are. We put the antenna in one comp. and just wired it to the other one. My brother just added his labtop, but Im not sure how he did it.
Holy cr@p!! I just bought my books for college. It cost $150 for 3 lousy books!. I better get something damn good out of the classes for that much. Amazing what they can charge for some trees and ink.
Oy, I feel your pain, jbfreak. I've had to buy my school textbooks since 6th grade, and they can be horribly expensive if you don't get used ones. Have you tried looking at used textbooks websites? I found my biology textbook there among other things for at least half price in practically new condition. There are quite a few websites that specialize in selling used books; I think I used campusbooks.com. If you're buying from an individual it's a good idea to check that person's selling history, but within my few years of experience I've never had any problems.
And if you do get them online, don't drop the package on your foot. I found this out the hard way...

Yeah, I finally decided to look on the net the other day. Only problem is, I am a procratinator, and the classes start in a couple of days and I wouldn't have time to get them here. The bookstore at the college only had new ones. They usually have used everything, and I figured they'd have these used, since they're not that popular of classes.

heh, good thing about highschool, most all your books are handed to you...trouble is, there tend to be a lot of them XD

Oh, I know about that. I have to carry both my high school books and college books.
Right well after my brother sorting out the problem with the internet (the PC decided it didn't like the modem anymore so it disabled it!) I'm back! Posting horrible grammar and typos as per usual!
I just watched Bill Bailey's stand up, wow that was funny! He was just taking the mick out of everything! Politics, the British public, insurance policies, the British law system, religion (which I've learnt to except now) And so on! You missed out if you didn't see it!

ack, yes I know, I went to vegas last August..and dang was it HOT! I almost melted..I'm not used to so much heat in one place...the strip was fun tho...!
I hope General Ouromov will read this... We have Once Upon a West... (hope that's the English title) on television, but I put in my DVD instead. I tell you guys, there are movies that are simply never meant to get pan & scan-ned. Watching this movie like that is a sin against humanity.
Do you guys prefer widescreen treatments, or like the pan & scan of TVs better?

Not too long ago Varese Saraband reissued the Jaws 2 sondtrack which is also very good. That one may be easier to locate.

Perhaps some green activists try to ban Jaws over there, because the mvoies has given a bad name to sharks! )
