I had this dream where I was in the FBI, and MI6 needed my help, and Bond came to pick me up...And I had to get all dressed up like him, you kno shiney shoes, tie and the rest, and then I went back to England with him....and we fought this really big drug guy...and I think I got shot, taken to the hospital...and then the dream went away....
Aparantly you can't die in dreams, you just wake up. Or at least if you do die in a dream you die in real life as well (kinda like The Matrix I guess).
But I'm not sure of the validity of that information, I was told this by some fairly know it all friends! It might be true, it might not!
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and everyone dies.
Not true. I have died in a dream twice (once by driving off a cliff, and once chopped into bits by the tail rotor of a helicopter). Contrary to popular belief you don't die in real life. For me, the dream merely ended and everything went blank (white, not black...sort of like a film projector running out of film) and a new dream began.
I've also dyed in a dream - about nine times! The first time I was shoved in a glass box with a stick of dynamite and a grenade. And I blew up.
P.S. It is my friend typing this - the one you all know as FelixLeiter007 - we're mates. In case your asking yourself. So...she says that if you see in a dream, your own funeral - you die in real life - or so she has been told. There is no proof though. ltk says it is a load of bogus though.
This is kind of hard though replying as 2 people as there's only one computer and we can't both login at the same time!
Whenever i die in a dream i stay asleep. except when i am dropped of a building or something i always seem to wake up right before i hit the ground. One time when i was falling i actually thought blood was rushing to my head. Wierd huh?!

You know you can change your ID each time you go to post right? 8-)
Ah, dying in dreams, what an idea. I've died in dreams so many times it's funny. Only that I never really go black, I just go into another dream, never remembering that I died, only to wake up and remember all of them at once. After about an hour or so, I forget. My most vivid dream-death was drowning. It didn't hurt at all though.
People say they only last a couple of seconds. If that is true why do a get up at midnight and the second i go back to sleep i start dreaming and it lasts for an hour?
I agree with Jedi master dreams are very strange things befor (in my dream)i was walking down the street an i got shot in the back then i grew wings and flew of ) kind of weard yes

It must be nice to remember your dreams. I only remember one. Only because it was weird. I was in Denver, Colorado. I was at a bowling alley. I was in the bathroom in a stall. Next thing I know, a dude kicks in the door and shoots me with a shotgun. Here's the weird part. I can feel the blood in my shirt, but there is no blood stain on the shirt. That's all I remember. I'm 29 now. I had that dream when I was about 10.

I write stories and in one of them there's these spies called Harry and Alex. Harry's 11 and Alex is about 23. I had this dream before where I was Harry and me and Alex were fighting these 2 guys in my parents room. At first I hid in the onsuite, then I came out and the 2 guys were shooting at me and Alex. So Alex shot back and I just kept having to dodge the bullets cus there was nothing to hide behind. Then they hit me a few times and it hurt and there was no blood! So I ran across to my room, picked up my rolls cap gun and ran back. But when I started shooting at the 2 guys, it was real bullets though and THEY had lots of blood on them. Then Alex died and then I continued shooting at them and then the dream ended.
I think I might of died again.
I seem to recall someone once saying that if you see your reflection in your dream you will die. Well, I happened to see my reflection last night while dreaming. I'll let you know if I don't die today.
I also was told that flying in a dream warns of death. Since then, I quit flying in dreams. Now I just jump really, really high.
My friend was telling me that his teacher was trying to tell him that each part of a dream signified something. He keeps having this dream about this really bad car accident we got in, only I don't help him. I stand there and laugh and he dies. His teacher tried to tell him that death meant chane, and that my laughter meant that I was going to betray him or some crap like that.
Those guys are full of BS. A dream is a dream. Nobody knows why we have them. Nobody knows how they start or where they come from. All they know is that they just happen. They are so busy trying to BS their way through what dreams mean that they even ahve time to enjoy them. Sleep would be extreeeeeenly boring without them.

I agree. I would probably die of boredom in my sleep if I didn't have any dreams!
I had this really long dream before where there was this green thing going round a bit like the plague. If the green appeared on you it was catching and you died. So everyone I knew started dying.
So I woke up screaming and my mom just told me to think of something nice and go back to sleep. So I did. I thought that all of a sudden someone had come up with a cure.
Then eventually I got back to sleep but the cure wasn't working so I woke up screaming again! Then my mom just told me to do the same again. So I did. But this time it worked and everyone was cured and everyone came back to life.
I'd have preffered it if there were perhaps some cool gangsters come shooting in it though. Or some blood-sucking zombies! It might of livened things up a bit. :v
Has anyone got any theries about how you get dreams?

Lazy? I find that hard to swallow, since in Tucson (and Las Vegas) the time hasn't even officially reached 13:33 which would mean I'm posting while I'm still asleep...Now that's a dedicated AJBer!

I can't remember the name of the alley. It was near a freeway, one side was the bowling alley then if you go under the freeway there's a hotel on the other side. That's all i remember.

BTW: I made through the workday without keeling over (although I did feel a little unusual towards the end of the day).

Err, sorry to say this, Mr. Martini, but that's probably not a good sign. Apparently people who don't dream for long periods of time are deeply, psychologically disturbed :S. One of my friends, psychology major, was kind enough to tell me this when I was having sleeping issues and was a partial insomniac last year.
I'm sure that's not the case, though. You're like me and have difficulty remembering your dreams though you probably have them anyway. That's the more probable explanation.
Lately my dreams have been a weird Alias-Bond-Avengers-Prisoner crossover of sorts, which at least keep me entertained. It's rather fun being able to beat up a lot of villains and hovering in the air.
Either that, or Christopher Plummer (Captain Von Trapp from the Sound of Music) is explaining calculus to me in some Parisian cafe. I have no idea where that came from, but sadly enough he isn't singing the lesson.
And darenhat, nice to see that you're still here with us )

I hope that's not the case. It's just one of those dreams I remember. I do dream. And I remember some for up to 20minutes after I wake up. But then they are gone. But the Denver one sticks in my mind. Here's to hoping I don't have deep psycholgical problems.
