Sorry to change the topic, but I have a pretty funny story. The sports channel ESPN came to my school today for an interesting contest. My high school was put on a list of one of the twelve (or something like it) worst football teams in the nation. We have been in a slump for the past 6 or 7 years and they are having a contest to build a new stadium, track, and fitness facility if we convince them we want it more than the other schools. We were issued free shirts earlier and wore them all day to welcome the ESPN representative, then we had an assembly later in the day where a video we made for them was played, and typical assembly things like that seasons sports teams were announced and the band played. Since I'm on the track team, I really hope we win even more, so root for Montour.

can I hide in your luggage, Jen??? Sounds like fun. I'm going to New Jersey as usual, but my buddy might be coming along, so all is well. Yes, I have spoken to Haris, he is a friend of my friend. He knows my name...but me being shy, I can't talk to him without Serena. *sigh* Have fun in England, Jen! If you go to that interactive Bond thing, do talk pictures and sennd them!! It sounds fun!!!

Don't worry there is plenty to do! My advice is go to a good West End musical, although they are feindishly expensive!
Actually, it is possible to get affordable tickets if you show up to a performance you'd like to attend about fifteen minutes before the showing; it's actually pretty affordable if you're not picky about where you sit. Two friends and I had walked up to the theater where Les Miserables was playing at the time as I couldn't find anyone to go to see Hitchcock Blonde, featuring Rosamund Pike, with me (long story). There were some back left balcony seats for 12.50 pounds each. We were able to hear everything quite clearly and had a good overhead view of the stage. A couple of months later, a family friend went to see the same production and paid about 100 pounds for a seat in the back center of the balcony. Interestingly enough, this family friend has a tendency to be swindled as "a dumb American tourist" (in his own words).
Also, my choir group got some pretty good front balcony seats for My Fair Lady, but those were booked several months in advance. I think there's possibly a student and/or group discount depending on the theater?
Flattery will get you nowhere, but don't stop trying.
Well We Will Rock you is a musical written by Queen and Ben Elton which is entirely set to Queen's music! It's Brilliant!
Plot synopsis:
The entire world is under a dictatorship, The Killer Queen is in charge. She has banned all live music. Only computer generated noise is allowed. There is one man, Galileo, who, in his struggle to break free, meets up with Scaramouche (who becomes his girlfriend) and a load of other people who have broken free. Including Kashoggi! Together they strive to find the Bohemian Rhapsody. But the others all get caught and Galileo and Scaramouche are left to go it alone. Eventually they take a ride on a pervert's Harley Davidson to the ruined remains of Wembley Arena where they discover the only musical instrument left in the world. It is of course an elictric guitar and, while Galileo can only make it squeak, Scaramouche turns out to be the reincarnation of 'The Hairy One' (the guitarist)! And then they sing we are the champions and we will rock you and the Killer Queen screams and that's that!

Any other fun places come to mind?
Alton Towers! Drayton Manor! Water World! (Theme and water parks).
BTW, what do you do when you're insainly in love with a guy and everytime you see him, you nearly walk into a dustbin! Thanks.
Oh man I'll definately have to check them out. I love Theme Parks.
Felix...
Alas, yet another girl comes with the question ehh Pen? LOL
But yeah If you have a major crush on a guy, ask yourself a few questions and if any awnsers are no consider doing them;
1) Have you ever talked to this straping young lad ?
2)Does he know you exist?
3)If no to any of the above, Plot some way to meet him. ie connections with friends or a simple hello, or if you have him in a class it's even easier because you can get into his group for something and have an excuse to strike up a convo.
If you need more help PM me and we can chat. If you need a reference ask Pendragon. I think I helped her out but have we been sucessful lately Pen? I can't remember.
Oh by the way, for all you people out there that are getting the impression that Im some boy chaser or something. Your wrong, I've never actually had a BF so maybe I need some help ) LOL. But nope I more or less give advice because everyone else I know who has a guy has problems. And as I've said most guys are scared of me, espesially MNL. *duck and covers* {:)
Hey how old are you? You might make me feel better for only having had one gf, and that only lasted 3 days!!!
AAaaand! I could use some advice! See I'm good friends with this girl, I can't for the life of me work out how she feels about me, but she's crazy about this other guy (who, for the record, is an a***hole). How do I tell if she likes me and stuff?!
shamefully yours, Jedi!
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and everyone dies.
I go out with friends for the day quite often, what you might try is taking her ice skating or something, just a fun day out. Then at the end of it, present her with a nice gift (as suggested by DFXX) for being "such a great friend". She wont mind, you said she's only crazy for the other guy, not with him, so there's nothing wrong with making a move.
Though if you think of it as a friendly gesture, maybe it wont be so difficult to carry out.

I'm not sure how it is in Britain, but something like that qualifies you as being with the person over here. General, ice skating? Wouldn't there be the chance of injury with something like that if the person doesn't know how?

No, it's possible over here to take a girl out for the day without actually being with her. )
And of course, injury is most certain in ice skating, but that is all part of the fun. Though it might indeed be a wise idea to check whether this girl is clumsy or not.
No no I'm almost certain she can ice skate, it's me I'd worry about...

HELP! i love pierce, I tried bringing myself to just go "Hi what's your name, I think you've got nice hair," but I couldn't.
I'm going to a school disco tonight. Do you think I should try talking to him if he's there? What can I say to him?
Thanks.
Well, as you all know, I'm no expert in this kind of thing, therefor I shan't even attempt to give you any advice! So have any Brits been to see H2G2 yet? I'm going on Saturday!
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and everyone dies.
I hope to see it very soon. I was thinking about getting the book a little while ago and now that I see it is coming to the movies, Ill just see that. Not because I'm too lazy to read the book, but because school ties me down with another book everytime I try to read for pleasure. It looks very good though, much better than XXX:2 and I had to spend 5 minutes today trying to convince a friend of mine that XXX is terrible.
awww, I missed so much! Dang my computer not working at home. Here I sit, in the library at school, ready to send my poor history teacher on another guilt trip if he tried to kick me out of the lab...he owes me....heh heh...anywho, We are in the last week of our show WEST SIDE STORY, and tonight, I will see it for the second time...hehe, my friends are so funny...a really good buddy is Playing Krupke, and the sight of Colin in a cop suit with a night stick is just too funny for me. ummm, thats about all, I miss you guys, and being able to come here as much as I want...and curse the screen resolution here...it is the worst I've seen!!
I've just been invited away for the weekend so I will see you all on Tuesday, well probably Monday I'll be back actually! But have fun, and keep the topic alive for me!
Byesee bye!

Everyone have a fun weekend?
Hardly. I spent all of Saturday and half of today completing a major english project. We had to do a front page of a newspaper type project about the Hobbit. We all had to pick a demographic and I chose the elves. I spent the past week writing and typing up the articles and then this weekend aligning it all and writing more to fill space. At least it looks good though.

I had an OK weekend. On Saturday's I usually get up at around ten but this one I got up at quarter to 8, just so I could 2 hours of old Doctor Who. I went and did some shopping (as girls do!), except I only brought an England band and a friendship band saying peace. I went to get a Feel the Pulse band but they'd run out. If you live in England and have got kids between ages 9-15, you'll know what I'm on about. ) Then that evening I watched Doctor Who on TV and watched a movie with my brother, whilest eating a quarter of my last Easter egg, (yes I do still have some!) and some Rubarb and Custard sweets. :x
Sunday wasn't as great. I got up at the same time and did the same thing for 2 hours, this time watching the Doctor regenerate (which I've never had the chance to see before). I came on the computer and went to ajb and the Doctor Who website.
Then I went on my own computer and wrote a bit more of my book. After that I can't really remember. I'm only 13 so I can't of gotten drunk - could I?! ) After tea I watched the Simpsons as well as part of Three men and a baby. That and the sequel are both hilarious. ) I recomend them to anyone with a sense of humor.
Finally, I watched Coronation Street then went and lay on my bed for an hour.
Was that an exciting weekend or what?! )
Then this morning, I went to the Doctor Who website and finally picked out a GOOD background for my computer. All the others just kept going blury.
DER WEST SIDE IS AWESOME!!! IT'S BHS THEATRE!!! *cough* ehem...anywho...my weekend was a follows:
Thursday: Ush for the show
Friday: Ush for the show
Satuday: Ush for closing night, cast/crew party till 2am
Sunday: Strike at noon sharp till 4:30 for me...my tech director needed me to stay for an extra hour. He gave me his keys to the school and every thing in the the auditorium for about half an hour. It was soooo cool.
