I've got to be honest and say that I actually prefer the Malloy one- it's an unfashionable thing to say, but I just do. He's even more horrific for looking a bit like an old lady to me.
A few people have seen a proper publicity photo and say he looks fantastic. There's even a glimpse of his chair in the mid-season trailer which was on a couple of weeks ago.

Hi res pictures of the big bad and his new red ally....
Oh wow- thanks for sharing!
There's a bit of Wisher in there as well as Malloy; they've done really well. Haven't a clue what the red fella's about- looking forward to those eps!
Very annoying episode last night with the entity repeating everything somebody said, repeating everything somebody said. Still, I liked Rose briefly turning up on the screen when The Doctor's back was turned.
Wasn't Davros pretty much reduced to a (literal) talking head back in the C. Baker/McCoy days? Or is my memory playing tricks on me? Ah, well, continuity, schmontinuity--it's good to have another classic villain back. And what a treat to be only a few weeks behind you Brits in the Who eps!

You're not wrong: he was, but in the one where he was just a head, it turned out the head was just a decoy for assassins; it wasn't the real him. He then got his hand shot off, which is presumably why he's got a metal one there.
In the one after that, only his head was visible, but you could see his shoulders were covered in cables.

I like the new Davros now I've seen this new piccy, not too much of a change and a mixture of the best of Wisher and Malloy. At least it doesn't look like a mask now. Just hope they perfect the voice and make him really evil.
Yes; not sure if I've mentioned it before, but the chap playing him was in the last series of Torchwood: he played that sort of ringmaster chap who came out of old films to abduct people. Dreadful episode, but he was wonderful. Fantastic deep, scary voice- he'll be great.

torchwood is always dreadful
Disagree entirely. Last series was cracking.
Finally a terrific episode of DW tonight and the series finale of a double episode look like a fitting finish to the series.
Excellent episode. Billie's return was well-handled, but I liked the idea of Rose and The Doctor never meeting. But it seems she'll be back for the finale. As will just about everybody else. Now if the cast of Torchwood could get exterminated, I'd be a happy man.

Turn Left was a cracking episode. A great return to form after last weeks 'season padder'. Nice touches all the way through and it sets up the two part season finale beautifully.
great episode but did anyone else think there was something wrong with billie? I cant put my finger on it but something was'nt right, I think it was her voice or something

You're right. I couldn't work out what it was either, but there was something different about her. I thought maybe it was dental work, but her teeth were fine before. ?:)
Despite last week's episode being series filler, I actually rather enjoyed it! Had my friend's 6 year old deciding 5 minutes in that he wasn't going to like it (as in, it might scare him) so he watched it from a distance.
Anyway, Turn Left was a corker of an episode! When I heard Billie Piper was cast as the Doctor's companion, I gagged, but gave her the benefit of the doubt and she turned out fantastic. I have to admit that when Catherine Tate was announced as the Doctor's companion for this series, I gagged and was convinced she was going to be horrific. But she's proved me wrong, and that episode was ENTIRELY held up by her alone, she was the central character by far.
Rose was distant and detached, and I think what was "odd" about her was that she was just speaking quietly and softly. She wasn't the bubbly, normal character she was. So I think it was just that she wasn't speaking as clearly as she normally would as she appeared a bit world weary and sad. The only point I thought she sounded "normal" was when she was going on about the Doctor and his great hair, and that's because she was animated.
As an aside, given that all the following have had title billing in the past, are we going to have an extended title sequence to fit in David Tennant, Catherine Tate, Freema Agyeman, Elizabeth Slayden, John Barrowman and Billie Piper??

Just had a look at the Radio Times- next week's does look pretty smashing: Dalek Caan survived apparently, but he's not very well! With him, Davros and the Supreme Dalek all together, Russell T Davies says it's a Dalek Freakshow!

I thought there was something physically different about her. It was probably just the way she was wearing her hair.
Sounds more than perfect. He sounds like the sinister, evil creature that he is rather than the uptight, fussy "professer-in-a-can" than he was in the 80s!
Yeah, brilliant isn't it? It's a really simple thing that Davies does with the Daleks- he makes our heroes absolutely terrified of them. Which means that no matter how silly the prop looks, seeing Chris Eccleston go mad in fear really makes you worry. And then when you've got the casts of three different TV shows all kiss their asses goodbye at just hearing the Daleks on the radio; yeah- that's how you make a scary villain.
Apparently there will be a trailer for the final episode airing tomorrow. It was notably absent tonight. I'm as keen to see this as I am the new Bond trailer.

The last two episodes have been excellent. Can't believe I'm this exited by New Who, a whole week to wait now

I'm glad they are going to air a trailer -last night I was soooo shocked! The lack of a trailer really made my family wonder what can be next. (Which was obviously the intention.) My son couldn't believe it -and he's already asking for a Red Dalek!

Someone else in a review mentioned her lisp.

I didn't think bringing the spin-offs together would work, but it feels really big.
That was good. Sent a shiver down my spine seeing how they react. And I was pleased to see that Michael (Dempsey) Brandon is in it.
