I went to a "Blade Trinity" promotional signing today with my twin brother. The writer/director David Goyer, Ryan Reynolds, and the lovely Jessica Biel all in attendance. I received three signed Blade Trinity "character" postcards from each of them, and I also had a nice (albeit brief) chat with Miss Biel. Needless to say, she's stunning (if anyone wants to see, I'll have the photos scanned onto my hardrive sometime after Christmas) and she was really friendly too!
I would have liked to have asked David Goyer if he's thought about going for the Bond21 directing job, but only a few minutes before I met him, he had been talking about his next film project, "The Flash"!

I am searching working addresses for Ken Adam, Edward de Souza and Bernard Horsfall.
I wrote to Mr.de Souza and Mr. Horsfall in summer but never got a reply.
Hi.
I am new to this site. I wonder if you could help me since I have had a hard time with my fan mail to Rowan Atkinson being returned. Do you have an address to request his autograph? Thank you for any help you can provide. //Carol in USA
I was quite pleased to pull a Michael Billington autograph card from a pack of the Quotable James Bond cards! That's two autographs from this series of cards.....so far! Hope that my luck holds out!!
Christmas cards from Terence Mountain and Caroline Munro today! Caroline also sent signed 4 8x10 photos, a 5x4 photo and wrote a letter. How great are these two?
great news! just won an ebay auction for a dimention 5 photo signed by harold sakata - wrote oddjob and his flying hat and also by donald woods?? was donald woods a well known actor ? only cost me £27. Also bought a rare octopussy used prop bank note for £35.
very happy spending my christmas money
I don't know how everyone else feels about this, but I often wonder whether Bondstars and other autograph dealers read these posting and decide who is 'hot' to buy and persuading actors to not sign through the mail. It's just a thought.
Quoting steviegr:

No, I don't think the people at Bondstars are like that. They contract actors to sign a certain number of photos, but (as they have stated on AJB before) they do not restrict the actors from signing for fans through the mail.
Case in point, I received a Roger Moore autograph through the mail, whilst he was (and actually still is) contracted to Bondstars.

Yes, but I still think it's ridiculous to pay for the signature of a celebrity - most of them should be thankful that the fans are interested in them!! Where would they be without the fans??
I agree that it is insane to pay for an autograph, but this is even more insane,I only payed ones for Michael Billington, and did not get his autograph!!!!!
Curious how this can?
Email me PM and I will tell you a very interesting story about some "high respected"dealer here on the forum, well at least that is what they try to let us think, that will cause a stirr, infact shaken not stirr(ed)!!!
Read my lips(it's a shame you can't see them!!!)
THERE ONLY HERE FOR THE MONEY,don't care less about us collectors,or have any respect for us,so I'm very glad to know a lot of James Bondstars in person, and stay friends with them for many years, because this is the only way to enlarge your autograph collection, and I allready advice a lot of them not to signed up with **.So if you PM me you will be stunned I can ashore you that!!!!
Got two back this morning that I've been waiting a while for....Martin Campbell, Goldeneye Director, and Soon Tek Oh. I have given up on the Martin Campbell as I sent it nearly a year ago.
A few items need to be addressed here. Firstly clown andy. Reading bondstars' comment I assmume that you are directing your accusations at them, yet you don't substantiate your rant with any evidence. Bondstars are a reptuable respected company, offering a good service and helping UNICEF with their proceeds of Sir Roger Moore autographs. Any problems that you may have experienced are probably due to miscommunication or misunderstanding. However since you don't choose to elaborate further on the matter, you are obviously either exaggerating, or hiding something.
Autographarea, if you think its 'insane' to buy autographs, fair enough, thats your opinion, but not everyone else thinks so. I think your comment about stars would be no where without the fans is untrue. Yes, I agree that in some instances it is the fans that make something or someone popular, but this is not the be-all and end-all. At one time you could write to stars and recieve an autograph for limited cost, but this time I think has passed. Remember you are asking them for something, asking for their time, their autograph and perhaps a photograph. There are too many people wanting to make a profit out of get autographs through the mail, and thus I think it is fair that celebrities should charge. Yes it has made it more difficult for the honest person to get their autograph, but I guess it is very hard to distinguish who is a real 'fan' now.
steviegr, I think you have the wrong end of the stick. Bondstars do not ask people to stop signing through the mail, as asio said, and as been stated before.
JimboJones, why should a stars autograph be free when 90% of them end up on ebay?
first of all;
Why don't you think that you have a few items that needs to addressed?
Is it because you allso dealing in autographs, and try to sweep the street clean for Bondstars?
I do not understand that you are irritating by the fact,I can only call it like this, irritating,
to reply to a matter that you don't know anything about of,and only try to write a story in general concerning that they are running such a fantastic business here?
Were do you based upon this?
Because they do a good thing for charity will not say that they don't make mistakes or can't lie or cheat about anything.
concerning proven fact I have enough and I have nothing to hide,I'm a good guy by heart and nature, and will not discuss this matter with someone that is obviously allso only hear for the money to,and further I really think that you would be more then surprised to see howmany celebrities of James Bondmovies are sending you there autographs for free.
It's the dealers that destroy this fantastic hobby, signing up stars, making them exclusive, and when something goes wrong you never hear nothing from them, they left you outside in the cold, because they fill up there pockets allready so why should they concern about some passionate and fanatic fans?
Allso your statement that 90% of the stars autographs end up on Ebay is absolutely not true, and if they do they are coming from dealers, because a real fan will never,I repeat NEVER,will sell the autographs that he has got through even mail or in person,on Ebay.
I think that you miss out on the fact that 90% on Ebay is fake, that there are dealers on Ebay, who try to squeeze money out of us,letting us believe that they sell the real deal.
If in the past not any lunatic did came up with the idea to start up a business in selling autographs, you can call this naief, but then upon today there was no market at all, nowadays every actor or actress that didn't had a great role or part in any massive production in the last 2 years, try to make money with selling there autograph,it's not only stupid, but insane,if you imagine that there are actors who let just only a fart in the James Bondmovies, now ask a total outstanding fee for there autograph, really, come on!!!
Anyone sees dollarsigns these days.
Further I think that Autographarea is absolutely right and I agree fully that stars would be nowere without there fans.
But it's not the star who started this crazy business at all, that are the people who see money in them, ruin our hobby.
And further by reading your post I really think ones again, that you will let us think that we are stupid, ask 100 people and 95 will say that it is stupid to pay for an autograph,I'm convinced about that.
You obvious don't understand at all,how the brain of a REAL fan and admirer works,I devoted my life, and making it a lifework to collect as many different James Bondautographs as I can,but not over the back of someone else, that's an insult.
You better take an example to us,for always, yes always, try to enlarge true James Bondautographcollectors only with trading, nothing more and nothing less, and I'm very positive that the people who I'm talking about are the only real Bondfans!!!!
James Bondautographs you collect with your heart, not with your wallet.
I'm open for further discussion, wishing you and all out there most warmest wishes,
Clown Andy.
