Finally , after over 2 years of searching and tracking down , I have had a reply from Marilyn Galsworthy, where she signed 3 photos and some white cards for me.

Please do not ask for her address, as I will not be giving it out, sorry.

Eddie - do you know how lucky you are?!! :))

I've been after Marilyn's autograph for years now, and then you come along and have her in your collection now........not good (only kidding matey!) :)) :D

    Seriously though, I know just how hard she is to obtain as I've tried myself TTM to her but to no joy and she was supposed to turn up at Bondstars' event either this year or last but didn't in the end.......why...I do not know. But there you go, patience pays off! Congrats again on geting her, bet your well chuffed. -{

Congratulations, DOUBLE-00. Yours are the only Bond-scene autographs of Marilyn Galsworthy I have ever seen. Definitely more valuable than Connery, Moore or Craig combined!

I've actually seen one before Eddie's, Steve. It is my friend Mark Honeyball who has it in his collection..............Mark has a very vast collection of Bond siggies and has quite a lot of rare ones (as do you of course!)

Take a look at Mark's site here where he has a scan of the autograph.

Just got hold of a very rare Emily Bolton signed letter!

I already have a signed headshot of her but to have her on a letter is marvelous!

Well done Jamie, does the letter say where she has been hiding !

Ha! :)) No it just refers to her time on the programme 'Crossroads' and is signed 'June Bolton'.

Hi All, long time follower of the AJB forum etc. Have purchased stuff from asp9mm and saint on this forum. Listed 2 times now on scambay, I have a Cec Linder autograph. Cec's brother was my fathers accountant. I have 3 more of his autographs and I want this one to go to someone who can appreciate it.

I have now started to add my whole collection to my blogsite, which is taking some time. I will be adding more every day until my whole collection is listed. I'm pleased you will be showing all of your collection on your blog site Eddie (it's always great to see other collectors' collections.)

I haven't made a blog for my collection as I prefer to keep my collection private (with the exception of showing scans to selected friends) but I will leave comments underneath your scans on some of them.

    Good work there! :)

DOUBLE-00, I can't wait to sit down (with a bottle of wine) and look through your impressive collection.

Call me paranoid, but I've always hesitated posting my collection on a blog site. It seems that within days of showing off your one-of-a-kind Anthony Dawson or rare signature of one of the Ama diving girls, suddenly several of the same attempted signatures 'coincidentally' show up on eBay. Or it could be I lack the technical expertise to set up a blog.

In any case I admire Mark H., Eddie and some of you others for sharing your remarkable acquisitions. Many thanks on behalf of the rest of us.

    Seconded!

Not to forget, you also have a fantastic collection Steve (perhaps some people didn't know how extensive your collection is.)

But yes, we do also have the former 'retired' collectors i.e. Laurence & Dave (autographarea) who also had great collections.

I understand exactly what you guys are saying about the signatures suddenly appearing when people get to see what they look like. There are a lot of con men out there, so beware, but when you suddenly start seeing all these modern photos of old actors, signed in sharpies, you know whats going on. A lot of my collection is from autograph books and dedicated, if only I knew where to get the film stills from when i started collecting many years ago. I have to say that in my opinion, ebay has really damaged autograph collecting. I know you will say that this is the only way to get those long gone signatures, but there lies the problem with the dubious dealers. Most of us know the good sellers, but sometimes I even take a second glance at what is for sale. All I can say is do your homework, check, check and double check the signatures against others before buying, and don`t be tempted to buy something you really, really want just because you can afford it. It`s quite easy to pay well over the top for something that is labelled as `rare`, and here is where the dealer has you.
Enjoy collecting, it`s meant to be fun, not make you bankrupt.

Some great autographs there - I particularly like the Alison Doody and Sean Connery shots.

I'm probably one of the more 'newbie' collectors on here, and only started about 4 years ago. I've managed to get my collection up to about 200 but they're mainly from the leading actors/actresses as opposed to the minor parts or behind the scenes. I greatly enjoy looking at other people's collections, and agree that auction sites are flooded with fakes. That said, I'd like to think I know enough about the ones I'm looking for to know if they're fake, and when buying, I tend to stick to a select few sellers, as well as some personal contacts (you know who you are!).

I will post my latest addition here though, as I'm quite chuffed with it.

And SPECTACULAR they are, Double-00!! Beautifully presented with some rare images and even rarer signatures. Congratulations once again. (You've even inspired me now to make an attempt at some point to set up a blog)

What a fantastic collection there Eddie - very nice indeed!

DrNo007, I think you should set up a blog to show the world how good a collection you also have, you too Andy! :)

Wow.....great collection you have there, Double-00!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

I also received a new success in the mail today -- Jane Seymour signed the "Solitaire" photo I sent to her several weeks ago. She does ask for a $10 donation to her charity if you send an item to be signed, but it is a really good cause (and a price that's more than fair, IMO) so I didn't mind donating at all. I think her signature looks fantastic -- scan at the link below if anyone wants to see it.

    Hi there!

Very nice and impressive collections you guys have. -{ I have just started collecting and bought most of my Bond related

autographs from Alex (Bondcollectibles). Do ya guys share your info on your sources, for example how to get dedicated

    autographs from actors.

I know, that you've all have spent several weeks, months, even years to get some particular rare autograph - or then not.

And all the respect to you guys. And I also understand, that you don't reveal your rarest sources too easy - Would just be

    nice get some advice.

I could use your expertize on this, Where to "start"? Some basics, as i really don't know any sources or good methods

how to get inside this thing. This is the very first time when i'm after any autographs. 8-)

Would like to get info for example how get dedicated signature from DC, Barbara Bach, Richard Kiel, Maud Adams, Carole

Bouquet, Jane Seymour, Britt Ekland etc.

I know places like Bondstars, Autographica.

    Many Thanks in advance!!!

    Best Regards,

    Teppo,
I'm pretty new at this too (and several photos in my collection came from Alex as well), but I can definitely give you info on Jane Seymour since I just received a personalized photo from her. And since she signs for donations to her charity, I don't believe that there is any problem posting the info here on a public website. You can send a photo to her at the following address:
    Jane Seymour
    c/o Eagle Designs
    PO Box 15528
    Colorado Springs, CO 80935
    USA

You must include a donation of at least $10 to her charity, City Hearts, and she will peronalize and sign the photo for you. All the details about what to include can be found at the following website: http://www.friendsofjane.com/faq.html#autograph

I got a personalized photo of Richard Kiel directly from his website -- check www.richardkiel.com for ordering details. The prices are reasonable, and they are even including an extra signed photo for free right now.

Daniel Craig just finished a run on Broadway, so quite a few people (myself included) were able to get personalized successes from him by writing to the theatre he was performing at. Rumor has it that the "A Steady Rain" play will be coming to London next year, so that could be another opportunity to get a personalized signature if he continues signing as well as he did the last couple of months.

Hope that helps at least a little -- good luck!!

I will continue to PM you scans of some of my collection Eddie (as mentioned, I only do this for selected friends) as I'm not too keen on starting a blog where my collection is on show for any old Joe Bloggs to see - I value my collection too much to make it public!

Thanks for sharing, Jamie! To complement your nice Cyril Shaps, I'm posting mine I received from him, along with a card, when he was in Connecticut in 1992. And as a treat for the 35th anniversary year of THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN I'm attaching my signed Chan Yiu Lam, the martial artist who played "Chula". (Can't promise the quality of these when enlarged)

Tilly (and others), what size do you select to achieve the larger image size?
  • Tilly Masterson 007Tilly Masterson 007 UKPosts: 1,472MI6 Agent
    Cheers Steve!

I usually select the largest size available for scans. A good site to use is http://tinypic.com/ as they can resize photos to virtually any size.

    Hope that helps!
