Thanks very much. I will definitely be sending a request to Judi Dench.
Any idea what Jane Seymour charges? Cash or cheque?
Not a problem, glad I could be of some help.
I'm not sure for certain what Jane Seymour charges but I think it is around the $15 - $20 mark, and I think it would be best to send a photo if you have a particular favourite?

According to her web site: http://www.friendsofjane.com/faq.html#autograph
she charges $10 per autograph per item (which she donates to her preferred charity), you also need to supply the return postage - check the details.

I've only got 2 Bond related autographs. Both by Roger Moore, both signed within one minute. Thanks to my girlfriend we were invited to the presentation of My Word Is My Bond at the publisher that published the dutch version. Since I'd allready got the original (english) version of the book he signed that copy and gave me a signed copy of the dutch one. Meeting Roger Moore was a blast and to me these books are my most prized Bond related items.
Treasure them. What a way to start your collection! This is where the addiction starts! Start coming to the autograph shows and meet more James Bond stars from the familar movies you'll love it!
If anyone is attending the Collectormania London show (www.collectormania.com/london) this weekend I have Miriam Margolyes attending...She provided the voice for Bianca in Octopussy
Wow - do you mean you may have found an Anthony Dawson autograph?
I've been looking for his autograph for years & haven't found any in existence, if you do get it - expect to pay an arm & leg for it...he's so so rare!!
I have a DR NO still autographed by Anthony Dawson, along with a letter he wrote me, in 1990. I'll scan and post them but I never know what size to indicate when I upload it..any help?

Wow - now Steve must be (infact he is) the king of Bond autographs, that would be superb if you could scan a picture of your Anthony Dawson!
I'm absolutely gobsmacked that you have his - I mean I know Dawson is very very rare, but I have never heard of one is existance before - and to have a personal letter written by him is awesome! -{
If you go to www.imageshack.us & upload the scan size to the 'message board' option when you are prompted to select a photo size, that should make it just right.
Why is Anthony Dawson so scarce? He lived to a good age and acted steadily even if rather low-key. Did he not sign autographs willingly or is it just that not many people asked (or could find him)? I'm curious.
Here are the letter & signed photo I received from Anthony Dawson in 1990. He states he only did DR. NO but of course was asked by close friend Terence Young to 'appear' as Blofeld in both FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE and THUNDERBALL.
Another rare DR. NO-related signature I got recently (on eBay) was that of Trinidad actor Frank Singuineau. He played the waiter in Bond's hotel room in Kingston and is noteworthy because he's the first character to serve Bond a vodka martini 'shaken, not stirred'.

I think he's so scarce because he probably never signed many (if any) autographs in his career or if he was 'accessible' back then, no collectors back then were probably interested in his autograph - obviously these days making that a very big mistake!
All I do know is that after collecting 007 autographs for so many years, I have never seen one of him. I hope somebody better than me can shed a bit more light on that question for you
He is one of the many names in the Bond world who has always been a difficult & pretty much non-existant figure for autographs to obtain.
Michelle Mok is another that springs to mind as is Marne Maitland.
I have signed pieces from over 1,100 different Bond cast & crew. But you have to realize I started collecting in 1965 and could probably be the grandfather of most of you guys. I had the opportunity to talk with Lotte Lenya and Harold Sakata several times in the 1960s, as well as Cec Linder and Austin Willis, both from Canada, so at the time getting their autographs didn't seem like a big deal (it sure does now!)
Some of the rarer signatures I have are from DR. NO: Byron Lee & the Dragonaires, Fabian Covereley (one of the 3 beggars), Carey Robinson (the Crab Key patrol boat gunman), Adrian Robinson (hearse driver), Jack Lord, Reggie Carter and Dolores Keator whom I befriended shortly before her death. FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE I have Vladek Sheybal, Fred Haggerty, Peter Brayham (who played Rhoda), Francis De Wolff, Arlette Dobson (the female hotel receptionist in Istanbul).
I've been asked to scan & post some of these but it becomes a monumental task and often appeals to very few people.
And we all know that once some of these signatures appear in cyberspace, suddenly there's a flood of Yvonne Shima or John Kitzmiller 'authentic' autographs on eBay. My whole life I never saw nor owned a Rik Van Nutter autograph. Yet a week after he died suddenly there were dozens for sale on eBay. I know that sounds cynical. But I'm old and I'm right...
What a fantastic collection. Absolutely brilliant.
Oh to be able to travel back in time. It's hard to imagine now thanks to the internet, but not so long ago it was very very difficult just to find photographs to have autographed, never mind finding the autographs themselves. I remember meeting Lois Maxwell in the late '70s but despite having a few days advance warning I was unable to get a decent photograph of her to have signed. Instead I had to settle for having her sign a blank card to which I had affixed a small picture clipped from a magazine. Then there was the problem of tracking down little-known actors. Hard enough today with the internet, but nigh on impossible 15-20 years ago. On the plus side, if you did manage to locate someone like Anthony Dawson (for example), they were often not only too willing to sign but many times wrote accompanying letters as well. And, if you did come across an autograph for sale, because the dealer/seller didn't have the advantage of the internet to research a proper value, items were often very reasonably-priced - and there were fewer forgeries around as well.
Although a life-long Bond nut and a long-time autograph collector, I actually didn't start collecting Bond autographs until quite recently and even now it remains a modest pastime. I frequently kick myself for the lost opportunities and am considering having flick-knives added to the toes of my boots to inflict even greater pain as punishment!
I think I know where the Anthony Dawson autograph that is being discussed is located.
It was part of a large autograph collection, recently purchased.
What do you think it is worth?
Jesse
Great! Can you tell us where you think you might have seen it?
I think personally, and this is an estimate due to not having any description of material it is signed on, condition & if it's personalized etc - so I would estimate around £250 - £390 for it.
I thought your number was a little low as I think he has an offer for more than that already but I am not sure as I am hearing everything second-hand.
Well without knowing what sort of material the autograph was on (which I didn't know initially because you didn't specify that) it was hard to estimate a value for the signature.
Wow!! Congratulations on the signed LP, Autographcollector. The members of the 'Dragonaires' that appeared in DR. NO alongside Byron Lee were Rupert Bent, Tony Gregory, Keith Lyn and Carl Brady. But you have something even RARER signed on your LP: Kes Chin. In addition to later being a Dragonaire band member, Kes Chin also played one of the two 'dragon tank' drivers in the swamp when DR. NO filmed on location in Jamaica. To me, that signature alone is more valuable than all the Connerys, Lenyas, Celis and Pleasence's combined!

Ah - super!
Thanks for clearing that one up Mark. -{
Halle Berry - bought
I suspect most of those were bought from Alex at Bond Collectibles?
I've been looking for his autograph for years & haven't found any in existence, if you do get it - expect to pay an arm & leg for it...he's so so rare!!
I have only ever seen 1 Teru Shimada autograph & that did (not surprisingly) go for quite a lot of dosh!
Wei Wei Wong isn't quite as rare as you may think, she is accessible & her signature doesn't go for that much.
I know someone who has Yvonne Shima (and the only person to have hers) she really is the queen of rare!
Michel Mok is pretty much a no-no, virtually nothing has ever come up from her and probably never will.
Is the collector that you say has the Dawson autograph Steve Oxenrider?
I have 2 Cec Linder's - one on a Bond shot & the other a signed index card.

My friend said that he made an offer which was not accepted yet as the dealer did not know the value and that he had several potential Bond customers.
So the autograph is in a book but I don't know if it is personalized.

Nice one - I haven't seen any autographs of Byron Lee before, so this one is a first!
