Wow!! Congratulations on the signed LP, Autographcollector. The members of the 'Dragonaires' that appeared in DR. NO alongside Byron Lee were Rupert Bent, Tony Gregory, Keith Lyn and Carl Brady. But you have something even RARER signed on your LP: Kes Chin. In addition to later being a Dragonaire band member, Kes Chin also played one of the two 'dragon tank' drivers in the swamp when DR. NO filmed on location in Jamaica. To me, that signature alone is more valuable than all the Connerys, Lenyas, Celis and Pleasence's combined!
Agreed!
Autograph-Collector, take it from Steve, he knows his stuff!
Here are my two Byron Lee signatures from 2002. Yes, the LP signature is much clearer but as you mentioned, Autographcollector, it was probably done some 40 years earlier and with a ball point pen. There's no doubt in my mind it is authentic. Beside, who would EVER try to duplicate a Kes Chin signature on the same album!! (I'm very envious of that one. Congrats once again!)
Thanks for the nice words. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience in making you feel comfortable that you've acquired a genuine signature and something of aesthetic and financial value, What a great addition to your collection!
Peter Maivia who was a famous wrestler, but also was Osato's driver in You Only Live Twice, he drives Bond back to Osato's headquarters and when we discovers its bond, they have a big fight! The only one I have ever seen from him!!
That must be the onee the ended today & sold for £60 - I saw it, was a good buy! I've only ever seen 3 signatures of him.
Also got a small 007 B/W promo signed by Gert Frobe and also one the rarest autographs I have ever seen. Peter Maivia who was a famous wrestler, but also was Osato's driver in You Only Live Twice, he drives Bond back to Osato's headquarters and when we discovers its bond, they have a big fight! The only one I have ever seen from him!!
Congratulations, again, Peter Fanene Maivia is a very rare one. I got a signature only of his several years ago. I suppose you know he is the maternal grandfather of actor Dwayne Johnson, 'The Rock'. You can certainly see the resemblance. I sent Dwayne Johnsosn some rare shots of the fight inside Ostao's office; he was thrilled with them and signed one for me (and for my high school students I was teaching at the time!)
Just managed to acquire a very rare autograph that I have never seen before!! Sylvia "Kuumba" Williams who was the "crying women" in the funeral procession in Live & Let Die, really happy with this find!!
Wow! Never even seen one of hers before, very well done!
I've met Roger at his booksigning in London, nice man & still has a great sense of humour! He's not a bad signer TTM, although these days doesn't sign as much now that Bondstars sell his signature on his behalf with the proceeds going to Unicef.
Dalton is definetaly a no-no on any kind of photos & is becoming more difficult on any material these days, he always sends PP's TTM.
Priscilla Barnes was an absolute sweetheart to meet at Autographica 6yrs ago, very nice & still hot! :x
Luciana Paluzzi does the signing circuit occasionally.
Yeah thats right! He was always very very hard to get! Have you ever seen one of him?
I thought you would be going with those rare Drax girls going!!
I have just seen on bondstars, they are are doing a private signing with Sir Roger and a few others. £43 for a photo!!! I can only afford one i think but i love that shot of him in that Glastron CV19 boat in Live & Let Die so I think I will go for that one
I actually own the Glastron GT boat badge which can be seen on the front of the first boat 007 uses (the red and white one). They destroyed so many of those boats, my badge was on the actual boat that made the world record making jump over Sherriff JW Pepper's car driven by Jerry Comeaux! Had that for years in my collection
He's another autograph I have never seen!! Trying to track him down haha!!
I don't actually have Earl Jolly Brown's autograph, but it is one I'm very keen to have in my collection!
Those Moonraker girls are enough to tempt me to go to the show, but for me I am looking for a 'bigger' named guest to make it worth the trip.
That is amazing that you own the Glastron GT boat - you must be a very big Bond fan to own that big expensive piece of memorabilia!
Was Jerry Comeauz the stunt driver that did that famous 'loop' over the bridge in the car?
Yup, that's the Peter Twiss signature I saw & I am certain that it is genuine, so no worries there.
Your Bessie Love looks fine to me too, it's similar to mine & it matches ok.
Not sure about your Alexander Knox, I know you said it is a 'rushed' signature, but the 'Alexander' doesn't look right to me...looks like a kid has written it!! ) Sorry mate but I'm not convinced by that one.
Just added Don Black, who was one of the lyricist for Thunderball! Quite an unusual one
Nice one!
I don't go that technical in my collection, I really just go after the actors/actresses (no matter how major or minor the role) & the directors of the films too.
I'm not really interested in the music side of Bond for autographs, to me it's not that important....I view the actual physical presence of the cast on screen as more major than the music. B-)
I know some collectors who are hell bent on getting a signature from any person ever to even work on a Bond film, whether that be someone who styled Daniel Craig's hair for the film or someone who pushed a dolly-track when filming a scene! But I suppose that makes their collection even more interesting & unique, and posssibly more valuable?
Thanks for the news & signatures you've been sharing recently. As long as I have my scanner open & some of my older albums out, I thought I'd post a few scans to hopefully 'authenticate' those you already have. I've included a few other rare ones.
Alexander Knox
Bessie Love-photo & signature about the time she did OHMSS
Francis De Wolff- one of very few I've ever seen
Peter Dolphin-Aide to Air Vice Marshall in THUNDERBALL; seated between 'M' and AVM
Chan Yiu Lam-diff. from one I posted before
Peter Fanene Maivia-from an album page dated Feb 1966
I haven't requested scans and therefore haven't seen them (then again, I wouldn't know a good van Nutter if one landed on my head!), but the seller has four books purportedly from the library of Rik van Nutter and signed by him and I see no reason to believe that they're not genuine. (If they were forgeries, I would have thought they'd be on something more desirable/valuable) And the prices strike me as reasonable.
van Nutter is beyond my collecting interests but I am keen to help any fellow AJBer who is seeking his autograph and hopefully four collectors will be able to add him to their collections.

In person, Ebay, Bond Collectibles, there are loads of places.
Got a few of his, was that the one that sold for £0.99?
That must be the onee the ended today & sold for £60 - I saw it, was a good buy! I've only ever seen 3 signatures of him.

I have indeed - a very impressive line-up!
Irka Bochenko is a fantastic guest & it goes without saying how rare she is, not only her autograph but as a guest at a show.
Not sure if Roger will be doing the public circuit soon, except premieres etc.
Are you adding any more autographs to your collection from Ebay?
I'm looking for a Yvonne Shima & Marne Maitland signature. What about you?
I have 2 Vladek Sheybal's & Lon Satton - bargains on both of them too!
I buy from Bondstars & Bond Collectibles & used to from www.autographs-ink.com
If you go to the Memorabilia & Autographica shows, there are numerous dealer stalls there will Bond signatures that you can get hold of!
I'm not going to Autographica this year unless there is an absolute corker of a guest announced like Daniela Bianchi!!
I sometimes use the pre-order off their site but haven't of late due to their rip-off £5 extra for dedications & postage etc. X-(

Oops! ) I thought you did actually onw the boat, read it wrong - duh! 8-)
Yes please, do try and get those autographs - would be a great addition.
He's fairly rare, is that the one that's been floating around on Ebay for years for around £6?
I can't remember what it looked like, could you put a scan up so I can verify it's authenticity.
Your Bessie Love looks fine to me too, it's similar to mine & it matches ok.

He was always a difficult one to get until around the last 5-10yrs ago where suddenly a lot off his autographs have come into 'circulation.' 8-) )
The thing is with Alexander Knox, you can pick his autograph up rather cheaply these days for around £10 like you said, so it's all good!
Well look at it this way, it is still his handwritten writing on the greetings card so it is still effectively a signature of some sort!
Nice one!
I don't go that technical in my collection, I really just go after the actors/actresses (no matter how major or minor the role) & the directors of the films too.
