Managed a very small consolation prize last night David Arnold in person at the Royal Albert Hall. Just heard from fellow Bond collector (Ben) who waited it out and got Timothy Dalton in the mad scramble at 11.40pm. I had to leave the event at 11 to catch my coach home. Feeling gutted and depressed! It's confirmed that he doesn't sign any photos - not even NON Bond. He would only sign blank card/books, even with some very persistant collectors.
Within less than a week my signed still returned from Diana Rigg in London here to the U.S. She and Judi Dench are the two classiest, fan-appreciative Dames in the world!
Got my 10x8 photo back signed & dedicated from Diana Rigg yesterday & she also signed it with my Silver Sharpie pen and returned it to me as requested!
I'm keen to start building up my autograph collection and I've noticed on Ebay that there's lots of signed autograph trading cards.
I was wondering if these cards are signed in person or if they're scanned images of the signatures and what people think about them as a way of getting signatures??
Also as an investment would they hold their value as well as a signed photo?
Is anyone on here a member at http://www.startiger.com/index.php and if so can you advise if the site is worth joining and if they have addresses for people in the UK or if it's just in America?
Got my photo that I ordered back recently from Roger Moore's signing with Bondstars. Tim Pigott-Smith Lynn Holly Johnson & Roger Moore Multisigned Photo

I'm not a member of that site, but I did use it when it was previously known as the 'Stararchive' (when it was FREE!!) & have to say that it is a fantastic site with almost every actor/actress listed that you can think of.
I am against paying for the use of these sites now, but yes I would say that is worth joining.
To gain access to a huge range of Bond cast/crew addresses, especially for a beginning collector, http://www.startiger.com/index.php is a very good site. Valid addresses--based on responses--seem to be submitted by fans internationally. Just be cautious of the updates and 'type' of responses.
Been a long while since I had the time to post anything on here but have had a number of additions:
Bernard Lee vintage page
Geoffrey Keen promotional 8x6 vintage shot
Tsai Chin vintage card
Joe Don Baker signed photo
Dan Meaden rare album page
Kevin McNally signed index card
Eoin McCarthy signed index card
Peter Bayliss signed index card
Christopher Bowen signed index card
Rare vintage Emily Bolton signed album page
Murray Kash vintage album page
Rare Peter Howitt index card
Finally added a very rare 8x10 "dimensions 5" vintage shot signed by Harold Sakata
and Henry Rowland the only autograph I have ever seen from him.
Getting back to writting letters now as the winter approaches Hope everyone is well -{
A stunning collection. A Sakata is virtually one of the rarest of all, bar a couple.
Added the following autographs to my collection today:
Shirley Eaton (apparently quite a common signature - obtained through Bondstars)
Clifton James (I've been told he's quite a tough signer - obtained through Bondstars)
Jeroen Krabbe (Krabbe's auto is common but I am very happy to have this in my collection - obtained through Bondstars)
The only drawback to Bondstars is that their clients list isn't overly expansive which is a shame but they are in fairness always adding to their clients list so one day, Bondstars could be the biggest thing in Bond.
With Bond Collectibles, Alex does apparently pride himself in authenticity yet I do find some of the items and their descriptions a shade far fetched, especially in rarity value as only a fair handful of Bond autographs are tough to get. E.G. Sakata and a few others.
Others sell for a considerable amount but not in the same rarity index.
Nevertheless, welcome aboard Shirley, Jeroen and Clifton. All gone in my autograph folder. Class!
My Bond collection is growing nicely now. Got the following:
Sean Connery - Obtained from Fraser's autographs - seen other samples and believe it to be genuine.
Roger Moore - Got a signed book and photo as well (photo obtained from Bondstars. Book from HMV in London, signed by Sir Roger.)
Pierce Brosnan - Obtained from Special Signings - they have a great reputation and now their site has closed down as the majority of their stock has been bought by Autografica.
Timothy Dalton - Purchased through Bond Collectibles - it is the consensus of the ajb forum members, in part, that it is genuine. Looks genuine to me as well.
George Lazenby - Genuine autograph obtained from Bondstars. Seen his autograph go for quite a bit on some sites. However its two a penny really. Quite common autograph but still nice.
Daniel Craig - The famous 'DC' sig. Obtained through Special Signings, like Pierce Brosnan.
Clifton James - Obtained through Bondstars
Shirley Eaton - Obtained through Bondstars
Jeroen Krabbe - Obtained through Bondstars
Honor Blackman - Obtained through the mail many years ago. Personalized.
Harold Sakata - Obtained through a private dealer (VERY RARE).
Sir Paul McCartney - A very rare signature of Paul McCartney, who had a huge contribution towards the theme song for Live And Let Die. A genuine McCartney in today's market would go for at least £400. I've seen the item I bought go for as much as £700. Therefore, you could argue that McCartney could one day surpass Sakata in autograph value in the Bond market, but that is speculation rather than realism. However, it can't be disputed that McCartney is a very rare autograph for a Bond collector.
Bond Collectibles has some nice pieces indeed but its with any dealer (unless you can trust them 100%) that you should always be sceptical and like you 007_Autographcollector, that too is my opinion to protect the site also.
Guys long time lurker, seldom poster, Lots of the "standard" autographs, jealous of most of you lol. Just got an obscure one. Anthony Forrest, Bomb Tech - TSWLM !!! Great story how I got it!
Yes like yourself I'm very proud of my collection but I collect all sorts of autographs, not just James Bond. However as you can gather I am a big Bond fan.
The Sakata autograph was actually brought under his wrestling name 'Tosh Togo' which means it wouldn't nearly be as valuable as items signed with his real name, his bowler hat drawing or his character name.
However I'm just glad to have his signature in my collection - some Bond collectors would pay potentially top dollar regardless but I'm not interested in the slightest of selling at the moment, nor would I in the future.
My aim for autographs is for myself to build a decent collection and then pass it down to someone else who can appreciate the hobby just as much.
It would be interesting to know who has the greatest Bond autograph collection ever. I know some dealers have loads of them but I'm thinking more of a personal collector.
Glad you had a good day out at Autographica - I've only ever been to 1 show in my life and that was wrestling with a friend.
I keep meaning to go to one of the shows but things get in the way - grrr lol.
Yeah mine is signed to Wally and signed just 'Togo.' A really nice example and double mounted with three pictures. Two are of OddJob in the film and one is a postcard signed by Togo. Was dead chuffed with that.
I was also looking at a website on the Internet which says a signed 'Togo' signature could go for not quite as much but near enough the same value as any other Sakata item if it wasn't already in someone's Bond collection. Nevertheless not interested in selling. Only expanding. From then its for the viewing pleasure of many others.
Sakata is, as you know, very rare but this example I have now, bought from a dealer, has made my day. Really has.

I agree, both the 'dames' seem to be kind to their fans & are very quick at responding - just ideal!!!
Cheers
Top lady!! -{
Only asking, as he died over 20 years ago.
I'd say Shimada is probably one of the most scarce names around in the autograph world.
Recently got a Bruce Cabot signed album page.
I'm not sure if he will or not, perhaps it's at his discretion if he signs Bond stuff?
Usually though IP he is good at signing Bond stuff unlike Connery & Dalton.

Just ordered three new Bond autographs - Jeroen Krabbe, Shirley Eaton and Clifton James from Bondstars.
Looking forward to receiving them.
Just wondering if you good people could help me.
