I was 10 or 11 years old on holiday in Corfu when they were filming FYEO. We got great shots of the plane, but when the film came out we realised that we were photographing the camera plane and not the plane taking Melina Havelock to her parent's boat!
My Dad still maintains that you can see us in the speedboat we hired for a day at the very beginning of the scene in Corfu, and tells people any time Bond's name is mentioned. The thing is, I really don't think he's seen the film since he took me to the pictures to see it. I've checked many times, and no, sadly, we are nowhere to be seen.

I am lucky enough to live in San Francisco, and watched a few scenes being filmed for AVTAK. Got to see the premeiere in london of FYEO in 1981, many buildings were hidden with scaffolding to clean for the Royal Wedding. Saw orange skinned Roger at both events. God, he looked awful in person in 1985.
London: College of Arms, Turnbull and Asser, James Lock Hattiers, Big Ben, Lazenby lamp post on the Vic and Al, Stoke Poges, Aston Martin Works, Pinewood.
Also have been to the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang windmill, couldn't help it!
Locations I would like to visit: Piz Gloria and Istanbul, although I imagine the latter is quite different now...
Joel

Nothing in QoS but I would love to go to Chile or Bolivia. Shame they never got to Macchu Picchu in the end. How spectacular would that have been?
1. For Your Eyes Only 2. The Living Daylights 3 From Russia with Love 4. Casino Royale 5. OHMSS 6. Skyfall
You guys are gonna hate me but 2 weeks ago I was invited to test drive the full Aston Martin range (including the DBS) at Millbrook where they filmed the 7 car roll from CS. Most exhilarating experience of my life. Been loads of other places but they all fail in comparison.
Of course you are

Been to Paris, Venice, but best of all was several years ago I was lucky enough to go to Pinewood Studios on one of the Bondstars events. Got to see 007 stage, the Pinewood gardens (FRWL,TWINE). Watched the original 30mm cut of OHMSS (my fav film & novel) in the rushes theatre & best of all got to meet Mr Lazenby (who I consider one of the best 007s). Awesome day !.
I've been to the Bahamas. I actually took a submarine tour while there and visited the sunken ship where the climactic underwater battle in Thunderball was filmed. Also the beach where Bond kills the SPECTRE diver and takes his place. That was a fun trip.
Did most of my Bond location visits in the '70's when I was in the Navy stationed in Italy. Visited Venice a few times - stayed at the Gritti palace on one visit (went to the Lido and gambled in the casino - had to save up for that!). Went to the Monaco Grand Prix, gambled in the Monte Carlo casino. Traveled in a train sleeper car from Venice to Paris (the Orient Express was not longer running at the time). Stayed in Paris for a week then travelled to London. Visited Fleming's haunts (restaurants, former homes, hotels, Fleet Street, Whitehall, etc.) Tried to find a house similar to Bond's in Chelsea. Went on holiday in Switzerland for Christmas - stayed in Zurich, Pontresina, Samedan, St. Moritz and visited the Jungfraujoch - went up to Piz Gloria. Got to ski and went down the Crest Run (but only once!) Went to Greece ten years ago and toured the mainland and spent a week touring the islands. Got to visit Crete locations where The Guns of Navarone was filmed - visited Meteora (amazing place). Was in Turkey for the day on the cruise to visit Roman city of Ephesus. Got to drink some raki (filthy stuff! - but I liked it). Went to Jamaica on my honeymoon. Visited Goldeneye, Montego Bay, Noel Cowards Firefly property. Rented a car and drove on the North Coast - amazing people, food, scenery (coffee and rum too of course!). Visited the Bahamas and snorkled around the reefs. Was married in Manhatten - ate at Sardi's and 21 Club (don't miss these if you get to visit). Visited the diamond district. Drove up New York state to Saratoga. Visited friends several times in northern Vermont (been on the St. Lawrence) and in the area where Bond travelled in FYEO.
Still many place to visit, but not bad so far!
I was in Karlovy Vary just a couple days ago and saw the hotel pupp from CR. Quite cool I must say. On the walk to the hotel though, I couldn't help but notice how many luxury watches were for sale. From Breitling to Omega. I like Omega quite a bit but would personally prefer to see our man sporting a submariner.
"Remarkable, but what does the club secretary have to say? Oh nothing Mr. Bond, I own the club."
do you mind sharing the places where you have been in Sardinia? -{
Approdo beach nr Stintino on the NW penninsular - drove around the top 3rd of the island. Don't think we saw any TSWLM locations - kids, wife and time constraints - as usual! )

Thanks. We stayed at the NE coast - Costa Smeralda, Hotel Monti di Mola - Nice private Hotel close to the Cala di Volpe.
We drove up to Capo Testa, were you around that area?
Passed through one afternoon. I loved all I saw of Sardinia, one of the nicest places in the med IMO. So many types of scenery from fields and meadows to mountains, forest, beaches - even some desert.
Seriously love your number plate by the way - and the car!

Hi everyone, new here on the forum. I've been to Nene Valley Railway in Peterborough. Long time since I went but remember seeing one of the stations from Octopussy and the tunnel from GE where Bond waits in the tank for the train.
Also seen the door from DAD on Westminster Bridge that's the entrance to the abandoned underground station. Luckily the door was open on the day I was there so I could see inside, it's just a small room like some kind of caretaker's cupboard. That's my dreams shattered of all of Q's old gadgets being under there. Didn't think to look for the lamp post where George Lazenby stood for the promo pic while I was there - there's my excuse to visit London again!
Came across a couple of sites while looking for Bond locations I thought worth mentioning that I couldn't see posted on here (apologies if they've already been posted)

If you search for a film, there's a filming locations link at the bottom of the page that lists the locations, for the Bond films I looked for anyway.

Got a few locations on it and looks like you can add photos of your own visits. Wish I took a camera on my couple of location trips as I'd be top of their leaderboard right now!
Right, off now to plan some trips to locations so I can top the leaderboard
Amberley Chalk Pits Museum where the mine exteriors in AVTAK were filmed. The hopper wagons still have the 'Z' for Zorin on the sides- there is a display in the museum, explaining about the filming that took place in summer/autumn '84.
AVTAK may have the most extensive use of a narrow gauge railway in a major film- not many of those that I know of- unless perhaps Temple Of Doom which had a mine wagon chase.
Hello all. I am a newbie here on the forum. I have been to a few locations which have already been mentioned but next year I am off to Jamaica on holiday. I am wanting to track down as many locations as possible whilst I am there. The ones I know of are Dunns River Falls, Sans Souci Hotel and the Crocodile Farm. Can anyone else advise any other locations close to Ocho Rios?

I live in London, have lived in New York and holidayed in Villefranche Sur Mer, where NSNA (one of my favourites) had been filmed. Also visited New Orleans. Would like to see Sardinia and tomorrow will do the Bond driving tour of Kent.

great story though....
Italy (FRWL, MR, CR & QOS) - Went on holiday in 2004.
Switzerland (OHMSS) - Refuelling on trip back from New Zealand. Went outside for 90secs, stuck inside the airport for 90mins!
Holland (DAF) - Went for the day a few years ago. Went on a canal boat through the 'Skinny Bridge' LOL
Greece (FYEO) - Went on holiday in 2004.
Say does anybody know if the entrance to the Airbase in TB is a real base, and which one is it.

That location has always interested me! Where abouts is it?
I think possibly it could have been Wilton Park Estate that was used as the Air Base although I can't be sure for certain?
