The best villain death for me was Scaramanga. I loved how Bond had pretended to be a mannaquin in order to get the drop on Scaramanga.

I disagree. I loved Scaramanga as a villain and he deserved a cooler or more stunning way to die. Moore just shot him..

Plus, it wasn't hard to anticipate that Bond was going to take the mannequin's place.

    Scaramanga redeemed that movie.

Pitty he could be toppled so easily.

    "for England, James?" "no......for me"
definately my favorite death, Brosnan was great in delivering that line

    Alec Trevelyan, by far.

He is dropped from the dish and falls onto solid concrete. Somehow survives the agonising pain only to be crushed by his own creation.

I actually like Le Chiffre's demise in Casino Royale the most. It's a very powerful scene, as Le Chiffre is framed as the Big Bad villain throughout the movie -

    - and then his fearful inquisitiveness when he hears the muffled thump of gunshots in the next room - BAM, the door opens - "the money isn't as important to our organization as knowing who to trust" - and a Bigger Badder villain plugs him in the head. I thought it was rather chilling, and hinted toward a future setup for a SPECTRE-like organization.

It didn't have the drama or spectacle of, say, being sucked out of an airplane window at high altitude, but I found it to be the most dramatically effective of the villain departures.

Red Grant's death by garotte on the Orient Express was the best send-off Bond took a hand in; loved the way Rosa Klebb gasped her end...and Goldfinger getting sucked out of the jet was and still is classic!

What about in FYEO when Blofeld gets dropped down that huge chimney

Not a villain, but I always like the way The Gas Works Supervisor in TLD was killed off..........by Rosika Miklos with her.................chest!

He certainly did go out in style! :D :))

?:) But he didn't die--remember, Rosa pushes him away, zips up her jumpsuit, and says, "I'm not that kind of girl!" Admittedly, blue bezants can be painful, but they're not fatal!

Have you not seen the deleted scene Hardyboy?

She changes her mind and comes back for more.

It rivals a Paris Hilton tape -- and the poor supervisor suffers a fatal heart attack :o

I was always under the impression that he did die, of suffication, because the look on his face after she pushes him onto the chair certainly looks like he is dead! :v

Oh well, you've cleared a few things up there Hardy! {[]

    Cool deaths?

AVTAK - Zorin's plummet from the Golden Gate Bridge.

FRWL - Red Grant's tussle with Bond.

TND - The guard who ends up in the newspaper printer.

TLD - Nikros 'getting the boot'.

My vote goes to 006 in GoldenEye. Dropped by his former ally and friend from an insane height, only to survive and be crushed by his own lair.

I am putting together a Bond Villains death elimination game at the moment. I currently have 25 deaths of all major villains and some henchmen. Any henchmen/women suggestions. I feel like the list could get overpopulated pretty quick...let me know if you have any thoughts

My favourite deaths are Oddjob (he blew a fuse), Necros (he got the boot) and Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd (he (Wint) certainly left with his tail between his legs).

Kidd going all ablaze was spectacular and Wint's demise after was great. He never even hit the water before the bomb tied to him exploded. :D
Roger Moore is my favourite 007 R.I.P.

Brad Whittaker in TLD getting crushed by the statue of Wellington.

Dario being grinded up in the industrial grinder. I thought the head explosion scene was much but damn that was the goriest Bond movie death ive seen ever. I doubt it we will see a future Bond film with that level of violence again. :(

If i remember right, Benicio Del Toro was still in his teens in LTK. if he was as well known then as he is now then he wud have been the main villain instead of Robert Davi.

I know this thread is discussing the films, but I have to say that I love the way that Dr. No dies in the novel...being buried in guano!!

Come to think of it.. The Benicio Del Toro as we know him nowadays would make a great main Bond villian in the movies of today! :)
