    Naomi!!

(those that know me here, just KNEW I was going to suggest her!!)

Octopussy!! In her white robe with the embroidered octopus, gold ankle strap high heels, a tiny replica of the egg, and a bottle of Dom. :D

Andrea Anders in her black evening gown and jewlry so I can stand her next to my Scaramanga doll. She will of course come with Nick Nack, who will have a mini pistol and a bag of peanuts. :D

They should also make items you can buy for the 12" dolls. Like a crocodile sub that you can cram your Bond doll in, or a scale version of one of his cars. The Acrostar Minijet would be awesome. I'm sure there are 1/12 scale die cast models we can use. I have a 1/12 scale 1964 Ford Mustang that my Bond dolls will fit into. Can you see Scaramanga driving a 1964 cherry red ford mustang convertable?

As interesting as some of these suggestions are, I'd just as soon see Sideshow stay away from any manner of Bond Girl; their female figures just look clunky and less well sculpted. Hmmm ... suddenly Rosa Klebb seems like a natural!

I, too, would like to see Lee's "M" portrayed, but he's so far removed from the demographic that collects modern action figures that I just can't see it happening.

A Pleasance Blofeld is a must from my standpoint! Zorin would be fun, if somewhat innocuous; basically Surfer Ken with an axe.

I'd like to see a Goldfinger, a Felix Leiter (ah, but which one?), Nick Nack, Moore in an ACCURATE silver space suit ala MR, Kamal Khan, Valentin Zukovsky, and Renard.

I'm not that impressed with Zao; wish they'd released him with two heads: One pre-DNA reassignment and one post. A Graves done in the same manner would have been nice, too.

I'll just have to make my own Octopussy and Andrea then :) I agree that there probably aren't enought people out there who would be interested in these dolls. How many of you would buy an Andrea? OK, maybe if she did come with Nick Nack there would be more interest (maybe).

The only problem Is that I'll have to use Barbies to make them, and Barbies don't look like Maud!!!

I did see on eBay some Playboy 12" dolls. One had dark hair that I could use. These dolls are amazingly sexy too. I think it would work. I could have my mom make a little white silk robe and she could embroider the octopus on the back.

I'm still bummed though, because Octopussy should have Maud's face, not some playboy models.

As a collector of the 007 Sideshow figures since they began, my casual observation is that the following films have yet to be represented in the range.

From Russia With Love - Red Grant would be cool

Thunderball - Connery scuba figure due this Autumn

YOLT - Don Pleasance as ESB, anyone?

Diamonds - Isn't the 'BIG' 007 figure (£200 worth) coming out in a DAF box?

Eyes Only - Melina with crossbow would be good

Octopussy - I'd like to see General Orlov

AVTAK - A good opportunity to introduce General Cogol to the range (my darker side also yearns for Jenny Flex!)

Daylights - I'd like Dalton and Kara (with cello)

Goldeneye - A set of three due later this year

Tomorrow - Wai Lin (please) in her black suit, bristling with weapons.

    TWINE - I'd like Zukovsky.

Of course, that is just my preference. Who's to say that they might not also introduce some more figures from films they have already covered. One in partricular I'd like to see is Solitaire in Voodoo ceremony mode - complete with white dress, striped posts, tarot cards and snake.

I wonder how long Sideshow have the licence for? There don't seem to have been as many figures due for 2004 (I know this has already been covered in a similar thread), which in a way is relief for my credit card.

OK, I just got my Scaramanga doll, and, well, he doesn't look much like Chritopher Lee, does he? And those of you who opened theirs say the cuff links are on him, right? I don't want to open it.

So I guess it doesn't really matter if I get one of those Playboy dolls (which I did last night, but I probably wont want to open her either) to make Octopussy or Andrea. I'm still working on obtaining a Roger Moore MWTGG doll. I think he looks a little more true to life than the Scaramanga doll, but I won't be able to really tell untill I get it.

My 12" Arwen doll from LOTR might make a better Octopussy than the Playboy doll, but alas, I don't want to take her out of the box either. I can always order another Playboy doll.

Last year I got from eBay a Jakks/Pacific doll whose name I forget, but they also made the Charlie's Angel's figures. I plan to custom make a Holly Goodhead figure as depicted in the MR posterart. IMO, these figures have the most realistic 12" female form, perfect for bikinis or skimpy outfits, but the tradeoff is the lack of posability because these bodies are basically hollow rubberized forms with hidden joints that make the limbs look like they suffered grotesque fractures when you try to bend them too much.
"...the purposeful slant of his striding figure looked dangerous, as if he was making quickly for something bad that was happening further down the street." -SMERSH on 007 dossier photo, Ch. 6 FRWL.....

I just realized the Playboy dolls are 16" tall. Oh well.

I wasn't sure if I would like a Sideshow Octopussy doll because my Scaramanga doll really doesn't look that much like him, but I checked out the other female figures Sideshow has done, and they seem to look pretty good. I think I will email them and beg and plead to make an Octopussy doll. I hope they don't make her too masculine looking. Maud has those cheekbones that they have to recreate.

I got my Scaramanga doll for $20, and the same for the Roger Moore from TMWTGG, which should be shipped to me shortly.

I also want them to make a Gobinda from Octopussy. Will they do 4 dolls from one movie? Since we already have multiple Roger dolls, we could ask for Octopussy (in the octopuss robe), Khan (in the huntsman outfit), Gobinda (suggestions on outfit), and Magda (yes, in the pink sari).

I got my Roger Moore from MWTGG today. He's cool. He looks more real than the Scaramanga doll does. I laughed when I saw the carved elephant. My champagne glass is very crooked, is anyone else's? I wish the bottle said Phu Yuk on it :D

Not an action figure in the strictest sense, but I'm still campaigning for an official Blofed's Cat stuffed toy. Toy manufacturers are crazy not to capitalize on it. If that doesn't work, I'd settle with Pleasence Blofeld, but the cat is a must!

I would like to see a perfect Judi Dench "M" figure.

Judi brings an incredible gravitas to the role and I can't imagine anyone else doing the role as well.

I have been selling 12" Action Figures on ebay for the last 3 months or so.

I have carefully researched my subject to make the best 12" Daniel Craig 007 action figure available today. They are selling really well and I'll be putting more on sale in the next few months.

If you want to check out the figures that I have sold so far click on the links below.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120200870164

I'll post another message as soon as I have another one completed, which should be in the next 7 days or so. I also do commission work too. Delivery time is usually about a month.

I don't make a huge amount of money on these. I just find it really relaxing and satisfying to create the best 007 action figure that I can to a high degree of accuracy. When I am making them its almost like meditation. That is focussing the mind on a mundane task to free the rest of the mind from the everyday troubles we all have.

I you like what you see drop me a line via AJB007 in the first instance and I'll contact you for a further discussion.

    Best Wishes

I'd like a Sylvia Trench, preferably in nothing but Bond's dress shirt and golf club, but I'll settle for the Dr. No evening wear.;)
