The Pink Panther 2 with Steve Martin. What a tragedy... If Martin has even bothered watching the Peter Sellers ones, he surely didn't understand why those were funny.

Death wish 5: The face of death. The most violent of the series and Bronson's final film
Have you ever heard of the Emancipation Proclamation?"

Count Yorga, Vampire - actually v enjoyable taken for what it is, a low budget Dracula rip off set in modern (well 70's)USA. Yorga played stylishly by Robert Quarry...

I'm a fan of his too. I just wish every now and then he do something a bit more substancial, he can act . I'm hoping from the trailer that "Humming bird" is a bit more than him kicking people in the face.
Although in "The Transporter" he does the best flying side kick I've ever sceen, and my wife thinks he's very easy on the eye. :))

    Blue Jasmine

Woody Allen's take on A Streetcar Named Desire, using a Ruth Madoff type in the "Blanche" role. Cate Blanchett is absolutely brilliant as Jasmine, the wife of a disgraced Manhattan financier whose ruination has stripped her of all worldly possessions and forced her to take up with her blue-collar sister in San Francisco. The story interweaves flashbacks into the narrative, contrasting Jasmine's former life of glamour with her new reality. Great film with real moments of humor, but ultimately a tragedy, complete with a plot twist at the end that I did not see coming. The cast is uniformly excellent, including Sally Hawkins as the sister (although her East End accent slips into her American portrayal a few times); Alec Baldwin as the charming, oily financier; Bobby Cannavale in the "Stanley Kowalski" role; and even Andrew Dice Clay, whose character as much as any provides the most obvious conscience of the film.

Not a movie, but Archangel starring Daniel Craig, a TV drama based on a Robert Harris book.

Only caught a glimpse of it but it looked a must for Craig fans. It's real Odessa File stuff, with Craig as a Brit journalist investigating Stalin's past. It has a downbeat grimy look and is set in Moscow for a lot of it, Craig gets to do his sweettalking to some fixated female clipboard type as he did in Casino Royale, and he's a lot younger here so sort of plausible and his acting is very natural.

It gets sniffy reviews on imdb but I suggest you check it out, it was shown in its entirety on one channel last night or night before.

    Closed Circuit

Legal/terrorism thriller set in London. Eric Bana and Rebecca Hall star as ex-flames who are appointed to defend the suspect in a London market bombing. Bana is the run-of-the-mill defender, while Hall is the "special defender" who is allowed to view evidence deemed by the government to be of national security interest and therefore not available to the public, the rest of the defense team or the defendant himself. We soon find out that all is not as clear-cut as it seems to be with respect to the defendant and the motivations of those trying to prosecute him.

As an American, I was unaware of the "special defender" role or that the UK is seemingly so open about how not everything is open, if that makes any sense. My hunch is that the US just hides evidence and never tells anyone. Aside from that, the film didn't really offer anything new. It held my attention for 90 minutes, but it was predictable and poorly edited -- it almost felt as if it was originally a 4-hour, 2-part miniseries shoehorned into a feature film. The acting is fine but unmemorable, aside from Jim Broadbent playing against type as a senior government official less interested in the truth than in avoiding a mess.

After watching Oblivion (a movie that instantly ends up in my top ten list) I didn't think Jack Reacher was going to excite me much, but I was pleasantly mistaken. Top notch thriller! Really had me going. Read nothing concerning the plot and just see it.
