My Son & I just got Space Battleship Yamato 2199 on eBay. It's a remake of the late 70's series released in English as Star Blazers (for you older folk like me). They redesigned nothing, just updated the tek & character look. It's absolutely AWESOME! And all 26 episodes for $24?!?!?!?! How ever could I resist??? My inner teen is thrilled; my present self is amazed. No English dub, but I am SO okay with the subtitles. Even the Yamato theme is the same!! Best anime purchase ever.
I had to watch "Precious" again the other night ,I think ive seen it about 5 times now, I think Myriah Carey is fantastic in it.
The shame is ,its all to a common story,
I've just seen the best western since "True Grit" - and it's Danish!
"The Salvation" stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Eric Cantona, Mikael Persbrandt and "Casino Royal" cast members Eva Green and Mads Mikkelsen. Persbrandt and Mikkelsen play brothers who moved to the US after fighting in the Danish-German war of 1864. After seven years Mikkelsen gets his wife and son over to America. They clash with Dean Morgan's gang and things go badly wrong. Eva Gren plays Dean Morgan's sister in law who got her tongue cut out by indians, so she spends the whole movie without speaking a single word.
"The Salvation" reminds me of Clint Eastwood's "High Plains Drifter". The plot, direction, score and acting is very good and I can recomend it to any western fan. The script, funding, director and lead all hail from Denmark, so this is really a Danish western. But remember that some of the best westerns ever made are really Italian. They were called spagetti westerns, so this is perhaps a Frikadeller- western? )
) That's what I was thinking, The Attenborough one is a classic. -{
I just don't like Mark Wallberg ,I don't like none of his films ,from the Italian job2 ,(how can you improve on a classic ) planet of the apes , (it just gets worse) now hes doing the $6 million man, another pile of horse pooh , by time it hits the CD market it will be the $150,000 man
Yes, I watched it when it first came out. I was a bit worried as there's no
Dialogue as such but it works, you can follow everything and get in to
The story.

I just came back from seeing Focus with Will Smith. It was good. Predictible in some parts, but had some intresting plot twists you might now see coming, had some good laughs as well. Great movie for a casual night out, especially if you like Will Smith. And Margot Robbie from the Wolf of Wallstreet brings in some nice eye candy (and good acting skills by the way) as well!
I recommend it for a nice casual sunday night like tonight was -{

I saw both American Sniper and McFarland USA recently. I through enjoyed both of them, even though American Sniper is my favorite of the two, since I am big supporter of the US Navy SEALS(One of my favorite Characters in the G.I. Joe toyline is Wet Suit who is a Navy SEAL and a Martial Artist like me. I am a Brown Belt in Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, A Red Belt in Taekwondo and a White Belt in Goshin Ryu Karate). If I did not have autism, then I would have gone into the Navy and Joined the SEAL teams. Even if I flunked training for some reason, at least I could say that I give it my best effort. Also I knew going in from a good friend and coworker at the cinema I work at, that stuff was changed around from Chris Kyle's book of the same name, which I want to read badly.
Nice martial arts skills there PPK 7.65mm -{ , It was a long time ago but I was going for
My brown belt in Wado Ryu karate, when my Father died. So I lost direction and concentration
For a few yeas and gave up trainning. It's one of my big regrets in life that I never got to my
Black belt, at one time it was the centre of my life.

Very good actually, recommended!
I saw it when I was a kid too, and I vaguely remember being intrigued by the burly dude with the bushy eyebrows. Little did I know....... )

I don't hate him but I don't think he's brilliant either.
Mel Gibson may be a a lunatic but he certainly knows how to direct a film.
Didn't think it would be my kind of thing at all but really enjoyed it.

That is one great film ,Gibson really puts his soul into this .
They're stupid, silly and funny, I love them. Even the terrible 5 has a few gems
In it.
Actually quite enjoyed it
Pretty much non-stop action, good cast, good fight sequences, and what's not to like about two smokin' Bond Girls having a blast opposite each other
I put off watching that for so long but when I saw it I really enjoyed t. just a nice little film.
I saw the second one recently and enjoyed that too but it is just more of the same ....
It also stars a young Jennifer Connelly.
