    Ghost In The Shell. High concept excuse for big firepower. Underwhelming, but not bad.
    Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

    Devils Backbone, Texas

    All horror movies seem to be made in documentary style these days ... Thankyou Blair Witch 8-) ... I get that's it a cheap way of filming but the format it getting a bit tiresome.

    This wasn't too bad and thankfully not too long but the ending was a letdown and it was all a bit run of the mill.

    There is another film from 2001 called The Devils Backbone which looks far more exciting. Think I'll look that one up.

    I saw it on stage and it blew me away--the live performances and the way the songs were used as commentaries on the times and characters were dynamic--but the movie struck me as flat and lifeless. To each his own. . .

    Transformers : age of extinction.
    As usual great special effects, but over long ( I got a bit bored at times) and oddly
    I couldn't empathise with the characters.

    I thought it was pants. The Transformers franchise seems to have already ran its course, the first one was cool but novelty soon wore off!!!

    My daughter got the new Ninja Turtles film out on rental over the weekend! As a fan of the original I must say its a CGI shocker :D

    Megan Fox, astride a Motorbike ! Must be one of the biggest selling posters
    Of all time :x , although I only watch her for her outstanding acting ability. I
    Regard her as the American Dame Judi. :D

    The Raid 2.

    A magnificent martial arts film, the fight scenes are brilliant. If you've seen the first one, this is even better, it's on a grander scale with some great characterisation too. Highly recommended to those who like martial arts movies. -{

    X Men: Days of future past.
    Another great outing for the team, and a fantastic supporting cast. The two
    Hours flew by, plenty of story and action.

    It was pretty good but I dont think as good as the first one which I really enjoyed. I didn't like the future aspect of it (beginning)

    They do have to have some sense of "Peril" , and I thought that worked quite well.
    Leading to a bit of , will they, won't they for the ending. As I watched it after the
    Disappointing Transformers 4, I may be giving it too much praise but I'll definitely
    Watch it again.

    Yeah, it was very good, I bought it on BR. The first is still my favourite, but this was damn close IMO. -{

    I really like DOFP, as well. The first is my favourite as well, but First Class and DOFP are tied for second place. I do like how in the future they killed off the majority of the characters, and the Quicksilver scene is great. I think in 2014 it was just overshadowed by GotG and TASM2, I thunk it got past without much attention, even though it was very good.

    DR NO ,I watched DR NO last night , now instead of watching it as a great film ,I found myself dissecting each part ,to the point where ,the film became less enjoyable .For instance , Qaurell , says to Bond "wake up Capn somethings coming " ie your lead to believe ,that the some thing is very close , So up all three of them get (in the sunshine) and 2 hours later (its now dark ) they are on the beach ,looking at the dragon ? now that dosent seem that close to me , I know this has more than likely been talked about before , but now being a AJB man ,I look at things in a different light , is this a bad thing 8-)

    explanation for the change in light would be, it changes very quickly in the
    Caribbean. :D
