The Dads Army film (the original). Mediocre but watchable. I've just got the box set of all the Carry On films. Corny I know but I enjoy most of them.
That is a coincidence. My Carry On box set arrived yesterday and I watched Carry on Camping last night. I was brought up watching these films and still enjoy them now.

My 16 year old nephew has the box set for Xmas (he requested it) so look forward to re-watching! Used to love em as a kid!
I watched TWINE today ,and there is a guy on the submarine ,im sure its the same guy in QOS ,the special branch man,that Bond pushes of the roof ,any help with this.

yes, his name's Derek Lea. he appeared in TWINE, DAD and QoS.

Scrooge , I love the film Scrooge ,and I don't care which version ,wether its the Muppets one ,Alistair Sim or Patrick (Jean- Luc Picard) Stewart,i like them all , but one thing that always gets me ,is that every body goes aahh ,poor old Bob Cratchit ,having to go to work on Boxing day , every one feels sorry for him ,and quite rightly so ,It just amazes me that we havnt come that far in 170 years, people are still forced expected under the threat of the sack to turn up for work on Boxing day .(I know I know it should go on the rant page )

) I never knew Sir Roger was up for the part. That would have been interesting. I love a lot of these 1960's and 70's political thrillers. The funny thing is I have the DVD of The Day of the Jackal on my shelf but instead I am watching it on ITV4 with adverts every ten minutes or so
Yes, it's the same with me with some other films, Have you seen the
Remake with Richard Geer and Bruce Willis ?
I have never seen it TP. Is it any good? I have always had my doubts about it. Remakes of my favourite films usually end up pretty disappointing. Cough - The Wicker Man.
No, it's not great. Instead of a suspense thriller, it's a standard
American shoot'em up. The change the story completely, an
Ex IRA guy helping the FBI to stop an assassination. Best avoided.
I fully agree about the remake of the Wicker man, the original had such
a weird vibe to it, brilliant stuff. -{
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Yes, I'm sure it will be funny, it just won't be Dad's Army.
It's fun when watching The Day of ......, spotting all the faces that
Have appeared in Bond. The photographer , played M's assistant
Ed Fox again in NSNA, one of the French police interrogating a
Suspect, was the club owner " Max Kalba" in TSWLM and of course
Michael Lonsdale.
As far as remakes go, Steve Martin should hang his head in shame for
The Pink Panther remake.

Max Kalba!!! I have been racking my brain trying to remember where I had seen him before. Cheers TP -{

Three Days to Kill, starring Kevin Costner; directed by McG. Espionage thriller about a terminally ill assassin being bribed back from retirement with the promise of an experimental treatment for his condition. Good action with a nice touch of humour. Recommended.

No, but I like McG, so this is an easy blind buy. A recommendation here comes with a flash of research on my part and if it seems cool, I am obliged to take action. {[]

in my opinion, innuendo is a fantastic comedy element

A fun little horror film, that gives the "Kids go to a creepy cabin" genre a twist.
Very funny in places -{
