A quick question. I noticed when I'm compairing favorite films there's a feature in the top right corner to show the cast of each film. Is this new?

I don't know if this has ever been suggested, but since some have complained about the grammar here on AJB, how about a Spell Check option when we are posting?

Great idea! We tend to spell at least one mistake per sentanefgfjhgfj (woops, my finger sliped!) - SEE WE NEED SPELL CHECK! :)) :)) :))

It's an option yes, I just need to know how to implement it and find a third party script to do it.

There are spell checkers available such as the one on the Google Toolbar and IeSpell for Internet Explorer which are both useful.

Si - Any chance you could take everyone's favorite film list, assign a score to it, 1 for best and 20 for worst and then throw the list into a database, total it up and tell us what AJB members overall top 20 list is.

I actually started to do this using the thread your favorite Bond movies, but putting the information in by hand was extremely time consuming. Since you already have everyones list, maybe it would not be a great task. Thanks for your consideration.

Yes it is although it is not finished, if anyone can provide non MGM photos of some of the cast please let me know.

Only the Casino Royale cast list is complete with photos, although some of the information will be filled in once I see the film.

Yes, the data is already in a database so it should be quite easy (touch wood) I will try and get it done today, or at least start it.

Hey SiCo, I know this has been discussed before but I have a question. It's about how the date is shown. I know in the UK you write the date Day/Month/Year. Would it be possible in the month area to have an abbreveation instead of a number. Sometimes I find it confussing when a date like 6/12/06 appears. To me it's June 12th, to you guys it, Dec. 6th. maybe have it appear as 8/July/06 or 25/Dec/06

Yes, but not immediatley, the revision of the site will use long dates as opposed to the short ones I originally decided on.

I know it's a cop out I keep saying the new version but it is on the way and development is going well. It's far easier to start from scratch than to try and retro fit all the features the site needs.

This is probably way too difficult. But I have seen some sites let there users create there own blogs. I think this would be cool on here.

I was just going to suggest this, but then found this post. I totally agree, I think this would be a brillaint idea. I'd be intrigued to see what the overall AJB Bond film list would be. :007)

Maybe I've never payed attention to his avatar that close, but it looks like it's changed slightly. Instead of the usual green apple, it looks like a green ornament ball, with some Holly or Missletoe at the brim of his hat. Am I seeing things?

Ho ho ho... Sorry I missed this discussion. The rules are (and always have been!) the Christmas Decorations don't come out until my birthday is over (12th)!

Now it's over my festive hat is well and truely in place.

Mr. Martini you are not seeing things, this is my festive avatar created by Predator. Take a look at Willie G's it's excellent this year!

I'm still fiddling about so don't be surprised if it changes throughout the day!!

Oh and Merry Christmas to everyone (although please don't turn this into a Merry Christmas thread (sweepy!))... Scrooge hat back on the desk... ;)

I must confess, when I posted my comment, the green apple was still in front of the face. Great avatar SiCo, and cheers to Predator for making it.

Here's a suggestion, not that important...

How about having the word 'Today' on the post instead of today's date? Is that do-able?

Stops me from clicking on a thread when I looked at it yesterday. Then again, there's Today's Posts for that isn't there I guess.

Another one might be to make the James Bond films thread different in some way in look to the James Bond Chat thread, as I tend to click on one not realising I've already just done that. Make one red, the other blue? Or one capped up or with a blob on it?

Or am I spending too long on this site? :D

Why don't you have a quote of the day, I know some other forums which have some.

I think you are spending far too long on the website ;) It's not a concern that has been raised before. I will however bear it in mind, although I am not sure how to change it...

Sweepy as for quotes, they aren't a major concern to be and there were on the site in the early days, I will see if I can find a space for them.

Thanks, that's a huge huge thank you to Darenhat, who must take all the credit. Lookout for more over the coming months... I wonder if you can guess the pattern ;) The actor drawings are all his own work.

The images will also be available as avatars fairly shortly.

Look out for some other cool graphics courtesy of Darenhat too.
