Anybody else looking fwd to the second series of Hustle on BBC1 this tuesday at 9pm. I quite enjoyed last years episodes - something akin to the teamwork that Mission Impossible had in the 60's.

Hopefully the second series is just as good.
I thought the first series was great. One of the few shows I make a point of watching!
Acting is good and the plots are very exciting.

Looks that way, friend.
There's really good chemistry within the cast and the plots are just enjoyable for viewers to delve into. I highly recommend this to those interested.

Incidentally, that's another corker the BBC has come up with. I know they're famous for their period dramas, but they've got 1973 down to a fine art. Just as funny as it is thrilling and intriguing.
The BBC is really having a fine run of good, interesting "thriller" type dramas... Life on Mars, Hustle, Spooks, and of course Dr Who.

Jealous...X-(
Hopefully it'll air here, too...

Can anyone tell me exactly when Mickey found out that Danny was bluffing? From the beginning, or after he lied about the "funny money?"
It was all staged. If not, that was a superb ad-lib by Danny to sell the misdirection.

Somehow Mickey knew it because when they were leaving the building, Mickey wanted to find out what Danny was going to talk to him about before they were so rudely interrupted. When Danny refused to expound his burden, Mickey just said in so many words that he knew. Which leads me to believe that Mickey has an intelligence snitch outside his circle. He's too pompous to follow a loose cannon like Danny Blue around himself. Just a theory...
I'd have to see the encore show in a few minutes to see just when the seriousness ended and the ad-libbing began. I know that there was some true feelings in Danny's words towards Mickey and that's what sold it.

I didn't know it starts so soon- excellent! And yes, Life on Mars really is a treat, isn't it? Last week's in the pub was pretty much perfect telly I thought, managing to be genuinely laugh out loud funny, exciting, mysterious, and packing a big emotional punch at the end. A classic.
Finally we're getting plenty of snappy little escapist dramas after years of cop/doctor drugery. Thank you Dr Who! A shame Hotel Babylon hasn't worked out, but you can't win them all.

Yes, Night. That explains the hiatus.
BTW, Mickey won that bet. Danny's cool but can be an A-hole from time to time. Great show.

Danny was more annoying in that ep than in any other ep. Danny is probably my favorite most of the time, but he was a jack**s in that ep.
What I'm kind of upset about is, what happened with the Stacey Danny romance? Why is it Mickey Stacey all the sudden?
And if I'm not mistaken, with the assistance of Mickey. He sold the mark once he baited him with the map. The guy was already a suspicious type. If Mickey doesn't have a plan B they all go down...besides, Danny lost his poker face once he was outed...
I really want to like Danny but God! His arrogance will be his undoing. He's good comic relief though...
Ahhh....my young padawan, if you closely noticed, since the first episode, it was quite apparent that Stacey had a thing for Mickey. There was no Danny/Stacey thing, just a momentary laspe of weakness. You remember when she rejected his advances and he got T'ed off? It was because of her feelings for Mickey. I love their sexual tension (Stacey& Mickey) and I hope that they don't "jump the shark" so to speak...

I know that Stacey and Mickey had a thing since the beginning, but Danny had been trying the whole time, and he succeeded when they started kissing, but she broke it off because she still has feelings for Mickey. But that doesn't mean she wasn't interested. You watched the new episode, I'm sure. After they finished pretending to have sex, the look on both of their faces, and the heart that was in the corner of the screen or whatever, as well as their tones of voice when saying "good night," seems to show that they have real sexual tension, too. I dunno, what do you think, RA?
Why are we bumping heads like Mickey and Danny as to who won that bet? Ironic. )
I just think that Stacey did it more out of spite and Danny did it, although he'd like to "do it" to her to antagonize Mickey once again hence the angst on Mickey's face last night listening on. If Mick turned around and told Stacey he was good to go, she'd be with him at the drop of a hat.
I don't think the writers will push the envelope on that matter either way because the audiences LOVE sexual tension and I'd think that it would ruin it for all involved. I mean that's what makes it work so well.
On last night's show, it was different but weird the way it played out. So I'm satisfied in the end result.

As for the head-bumping, yeah, that is funny. I just think that they wouldn't have done it at all if Danny hadn't said they should, and he did a lot of the work, if not most of the work.
I wouldn't do that, of course, cause I'd encourage you to keep watching!
That post alone explains a lot to me now, Moon.
Your poker face isn't very strong is it? Or maybe you just like dangling the string for us cats, eh? )
