Great opener! Jaime Murray looks as beautiful as ever
She always looks stunning I agree it was a good ep to start the series rolling. Being a veteran Hustle fan, I should have seen the twist coming but didn't, thats the beauty of the programme.
Saw last night's one and it was a cracker! Nice change in format- a con battle between Mickey and Danny in one afternoon. Excellent stuff to see them thinking on their feet, although they did have to reduce themselves to stealing a fair bit.
I must say I did see both Mickey's plan and the last minute salvation coming from quite a while away (the wine bar scene), but Albie's final revelation was both a big surprise and very funny. Fantastic episode.
But what's with the flashbacks? Do they we're stupid or something? Otherwise- excellent.

Just wanted to mention that there is a mini Hustle marathon showing all the previous season 2 episodes leading up to the new one on AMC in America.

There was only one flashback that didn't provide any new information or fill in blanks on last night's episode, and that was the "pound in the pocket" scene. Can't say I was that offended by it considering it was a "blink and you'll miss it" snippet anyway.
I'm rather annoyed by the new timeslot, I have to say. Last night I very nearly forgot to record it as I was out, and will be again next Friday, so I'm having to add a reminder in my calendar. And it has to be an English BBC1 region too, as it's still not aired in Scotland...
Does anyone know if Hustle is repeated? My Sky+ failed on Friday - very annoying as loving the new series

Just watced the new episode on AMC, and, while I was never really sure what Stacey was doing, I still didn't like the ending and it seemed abrupt and anticlimactic. Was it just me that didn't love this one?

Very lackluster ending. The show has managed to dupe me on several occasions when it came to past outcomes but this episode couldn't have been anymore transparent. I knew she was playing her ex and sort of keeping her comrades "out of the loop" to make it come off as genuine...
At least Danny has managed to remain likable for 3 weeks straight.

I saw the end coming during the start of the poker game, but I thought maybe she wasn't completely faking when she said if he had changed things would have been different. I couldn't really tell if the guys were in on it or not, even though Danny seemed upset after both of them left.
That was excellent, yet again! Amazingly the dance sequence, which I was expecting to be dreadful, was hilarious and worked perfectly. A slushy old tale, but great fun.

Anybody watch the finale of season 2 on AMC? I thought it was really great. Very funny, and very cool. For a while I thought they had just become robbers, but thankfully they hadn't. I hope AMC shows season 3 sometime soon!
Talking about series finales, it's the last one of series three on Friday I'd won't give away any detail to those who haven't see it, just to say its different to previous series, but in a good way.
The diamond con in series 2 was excellent though. It's just another episode where all the elements are set, and just where you think they are in trouble or something has gone wrong, the full story is revealed!

The finale of season 2 has to be, IMO, the best in the entire series thus far that I've seen. The plot was brilliant, it had the right amount of humour and although I had a great sense of dread as to where the direction was going, I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Never saw that coming.
Danny Blue cracked me up from beginning to end. )

That MI stuff was HILARIOUS! I wouldn't call it the best episode yet, but it was pretty awesome. And Stacie in a catsuit? WHOA!
Doesn't look good for Hustle in the US, sadly. Bear in mind that Dr Who on Sci-Fi is getting 1.5 million viewers despite it being hacked apart, not as well trailed as Hustle apparently, and having been previously available on DVD (not to mention naughty download)- with all this in mind Hustle's 500,000 doesn't look too good. That's quite a shame, but I really hoping AMC doesn't stop showing Hustle, and I also hope they release it on DVD in the US.

Well, I for one, am disappointed in how AMC handles advertising for Hustle. From what I've seen, the commercials only air on their channel unlike Dr. Who which airs its ads all day on Sci-Fi and its main station USA; not to mention I've seen it somewhere else...can't recall. There's hardly anyone I know who has even heard of the show.
Another, at least in the Texas area, is that if you don't have digital cable, you can't get AMC. It isn't in the basic cable package like Sci-Fi is and those customers not willing to pay the extra dollar just for a few more channels may have never heard of the show or have and may not be able to afford it right now. Yet when I went back home to the city, AMC was part of the cable package in my hotel. That may not just be the case here but all over thus depriving viewing numbers. So Hustle, in the States, might be getting crippled statistically because of these minor technicalities...
Just an opinion...

At least the season one DVD is out. I need to go out and buy it.
There are rumors of a Hustle movie, but Adrian Lester has confirmed that he'll be returning for a 5th season of Hustle, which he confirmed again in an interview with Jonathan Ross. Jamie Murray and Marc Warren won't be back for the 5th season, though, which greatly saddens me.
Flattery will get you nowhere, but don't stop trying.
