I respect your opinion, Absolutely Cart, and realize it's a completely subjective medium. I'm curious - what is it that you like about DAD? And what do you think will make it have a jump?

Cool. I do applaud the originality. And no sane human will argue with the appeal of Halle Berry in that film.

To me the biggest plus is Pierce who strides through that production with confidence & ease.

I really liked Pierce's performance in DAD. It's like he knew he was handed a curveball, and said, "**** it - lets make a movie". He tried to be dark during the scenes that require it, but he knew half of the time he had to just roll with the punches.

I've said it before...Die Another Day is a great film to watch for enjoyment, and as a sci fi/spy film.

I agree with you. I don't think Brosnan was a bad Bond at all. I think he was handed two or three of the worst Bond scripts and did well in spite of them, not because of them.

I could have re-written DAD to make complete sense AND directed a better performance out of Ms. Berry.

Brosnan would have done great in a film like FYEO. He needed something more down-to-earth with a better story. But I also think he could have been great in Casino Royale. It would have worked with Brosnan if they stayed truer to Fleming's story and didn't turn it into primarily an origin story.

I find it impossible to rank them because they're all so different, and each have their own merits. Instead of vacillating to come up with the perfect list, I'll just give them time to sink in since I've only been a fan for a year. I'll just classify them into groups without the ordering.
