It gets far more hate and ridicule than it deserves. Yes, it’s frivolous, lightweight and downright kitschy. However, it also has more straight-up entertainment value than the majority of the series; it’s the cinematic equivalent of a roller-coaster. It also has one of the greatest Bond villains.

Moonraker is a solid film, with everything going for it. I don't let the small things like the pigeon ruin the film for me. The onlyproblem is that it doesn't take James Bond seriously. That doesn't take away the enjoyment of the film for me, but I can see how that would bother a lot of people.

I'd most likely put Connery 4th because of his inconsistency in his performances (plus I guess I personally find the 3 I put above him somewhat more tasteful in their portrayals), even if objectively his GF performance is possibly the best by any Bond.
