I don't believe there has been a movie made of this short story by Ian Fleming.
Tell that to Max Zoren
I always call it that but get your point {[]
It bothers me a little when people call the film by that name because the film has nothing at all to do with the short story. Have you read "From a View to a Kill"?
I'd be more okay with people calling "Licence to Kill", "The Hildebrand Rarity".

I've got all the books and the new books by different authors, but never read the short stories, the song was called From A View to a kill so it stuck in my mind like this.
Saw it at the pictures and tbh it was entertaining on the big screen.

The song has the same name as the film, and the word "From" isn't in the lyrics either. You must have the name in your head from the Octopussy credits that says "James Bond will return in From a View to A Kill".

Wow, all your bottom 3 films are Connery movies. What's your explanation?
Although I really like Connery, I just don't enjoy his later movies. I do think they're fun movies, just not THAT great as the other Bondfilms. YOLT is just so slow, I don't really like Aki and Kissy. Blofeld is very cool, but either Helga Brandt and Hans feel as copy's from Fiona Volpe and Red Grant for me. DAF is fine and it's great to see Amsterdam but still, a bit too campy for me. And Thunderball, well I don't enjoy the underwater scenes that much as regular scenes. But my father does love Thunderball, one of his favs, does that count?

Don't worry dude, I don't care much for DAF and am not too crazy about TB. But I quite like YOLT, it's sort of a chill-out film for me, plus I dig the Little Nellie sequence and love Pleasence as Blofeld (though I know not every Bond fan likes his Blofeld).
Interesting that your dad loves TB though.

Craig was moved ahead of Connery after a recent re watching of CR and SPECTRE. Connery did nothing for me as Bond, he did two of my least favourite Bond movies and his acting wasn't great in YOLT or DAF.
I do wonder if Craig will be in a 5th Bond film or not, it just seems unclear at the time.
It also seems opinions are quite split on SP, which isn't really that surprising.
The movie is still fresh, so it hasn't yet sunk in and thus it's to early to determine how it will be perceived by the mainstream.

Right now very difficult to define SPECTRE. I guess I would put it in the 16-20 range. It was ALOT to take in at the theatre and I felt overwhelmed at times, so it might take another threatre viewing to get a better judgement. Likely, I'll have to wait another few months for the Blu-Ray to come out and give it some time to sink in. It has potential to get into the back half of the top 10 or stay in the late teens. We shall see!
Spectre will take another viewing for me to fully assess. I felt like the movie favored expensive CGI over good writing, and as it ages, that will only be more apparent. Maybe excluding it from the top 15 was a little harsh. The underwhelming last half-hour left a sour taste in my mouth. "That was it?" was the standing impression I had when walking out of the theater. Perhaps this resulted in me underappreciating the first 2/3 of the movie, which was very done.
I feel those who enjoy the Bond films for what they are (prior to 2006) have liked Spectre, those expecting a bit more in the vein as FRWL, OHMSS, CR are disappointed. Personally I like both as reflected in my top few movies, so if SP has a mix which it seems to be I think I'll like it.
So far I've seen Specte at 1st, and 24th and everything in between....is it the most polarising Bond movie, even more so than Thunderball and LTK? It's looking likely...
And would Spectre have been better received had we not got CR-SF drama? Hmm

To some degree.
I'd put Moore over Craig. Craig was perfect for CR06, but I feel like he was less essential with each movie.
I'd put Brosnan over Lazenby. Lazenby was lucky to have a great script and Brosnan was unlucky to have weak ones. That's all.
