Annie Lennox's cover of "Don't Let it Bring You Down" would be a great theme. Also "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence, "Troy" by Sinead O'Connor, and "This City Never Sleeps" by the Eurythmics,
(another Annie Lennox entry) These tunes are moody, dynamic and in my opinion, would fit nicely with the atmosphere of the Daniel Craig films. He's a haunted man. His hemes should be haunting.B-)
Forget Amy Winehouse... someone should definitely ask Siouxsie Sioux to do a Bond title track.
Shady Tree
Have you heard "If it doesn't kill you" from her 2007 solo album "Mantaray"? If there was any justice in the world this would be the next Bond theme, without question.
La Sioux's voice has developed a real richness with age, almost Bassey like. The song has real Goldfrappy/Barry feel to it, with added atmospheric guitar feedback, modern yet timeless, but with the hint of darkness Siouxsie often imbues her work with. Even the title of the song and the main lyric seem tailor made to me.
"If it doesn't kill you
It will shape you
If it doesn't break you
It will make you"
Fantastic, and utterly bewitching. And not even the best track on the album!

Also agree with comments from others regarding Goldfrapp - "Time Out..." is superbly cinematic, as is "Pilots". Goldfrapp would be a good choice too.
