another close moment was when Bond's life was in the decision of a spider in DN.
    You mean that harmless tarantula?

Re-watched OP today, and the thought occured to me that Bond must have been pretty damn close to death when he's hanging on to the plane as it turns upside down.

Another moment in OP, worth a mention, is disarming the bomb.

MR PTS springs to mind too, as Bond is falling through the sky.

AVTAK golden gate bridge fight also deserves a mention.

But finally, and I agree with some others on this, I would say that the number 1 closest to death moment for Bond is the laser in GF. Bond would have been had if he didn't mention operation grandslam.
    1 - LALD, 2 - AVTAK, 3 - LTK, 4 - OP, 5 - NTTD, 6 - FYEO, 7 - SF, 8 - DN, 9 - DAF, 10 - TSWLM, 11 - OHMSS, 12 - TMWTGG, 13 - GE, 14 - MR, 15 - TLD, 16 - YOLT, 17 - GF, 18 - DAD, 19 - TWINE, 20 - SP, 21 - TND, 22 - FRWL, 23 - TB, 24 - CR, 25 - QOS

It may have been harmless but it still scares the living daylights out of me ;) whenever I watch that scene. :)) I truly hate spiders. :#

But you moved to the Outback didn't you Honey? Don't they have big spiders that hide in the loo and bite you on yer bum? :s

I guess you don't take after your namesake then, who used a tarantula to do her dirty work...

I don't live in a caravan if that's what you're asking. :)) I am in the country but I'm also in a house (well, a kind of apartment actually.) I hope I didn't lead you astray, but it's actually alot more civilised here than you might think. :o :))

Not at all. ;% I'm not a particularly tough person. However I am working on it. ;)

Bond has come close to dying so many times - the most recent incident being nearly poisoned and the car crash in CASINO ROYALE - that I cannot even keep count.

But Sylvia Honey, the question was when did you think Bond was closest to death. Your lack of math skills is not an issue.

Back to the question, I would go with the laset table scene in Goldfinger. No gadbets from Q, no ally for help, and things were grim for Bond. Only his quick wits saved him from a grisly end.

That's a great example. {[] I would go for the cremation scene from DAF. Bond had no means of escape and if he hadn't been rescued, he would most certainly have died. :#
