We can't count on Eon to let us all in to the real one---so I say we throw one of our own, right here.

RogueAgent and I have wagered a keg of virtual beer on the outcome of the picture. {[] I buy if Craig sucks, and/or the film is a diappointment, and Rogue buys if Eon puts out a good Bond movie this time round, and Craig turns out to be a good Bond.

We can pick appropriate Bond music to play in the background, decide upon the menu---not to mention the wine and beverage list (!) Let your imagination run wild: after all, the budget for decorating an imaginary venue is limitless! B-)

Personal weapons, such as PPKs, P99s, damned Berettas, etc., will be checked at the door. {:)

We're all devoted 007 fans, and we should have a proper celebration when the film is released. It will be rather like a holiday, won't it? Or, at least, it should be. :D

I know I'll probably take that day off work. -{ -{ -{ :007)

Also, if I should lose, I'll chip in the virtual nacho chips and cheese dip since the virtual Beluga was out of my price range... :p

I like the way you think. :v Perhaps the beer should be Heineken, so as to be 'product placement-correct.' {[] Pertectly satisfactory...particularly when chilled to 39 degrees Fahrenheit... :007)

Key word being "IF", Loeff. :))

Used in a sentence to demonstrate this range of that word:

"If I fall into a mindshaft and discover the Ark Of The Covenent..."

And yes, Heiniken will do just fine...Although I prefer Guinness Stout or a Gibson or two...

Sounds fun, but isn't the issue of whether CR will blow or rock a very subjective one? I mean, look at the number of people on this site who say that the last film, DAD, was either tremendous or a dud. And what happens if the consensus on CR is that it was merely OK? This is why I stay away from such wagers. . .

    I'm all for a virtual CR party on a national level. I will bring the martini fixin's and appropriate stemware and garnishes. I like the idea of taking the day off of work....I may do that too. -{

What I want to know is if the ladies on this forum will be in their virtual revealing evening gowns. If anyone cares I am a big fan of backless.
  • TonyDPTonyDP Inside the MonolithPosts: 4,307MI6 Agent
How are we all going to get to the virtual party?

I'll take my virtual McLaren F1-LM. I know Bond never drove it, but it's an ultra-cool car and damn it, he SHOULD have.

well I'm taking my Virtual Black Aston Martin DB9 (what you can't have in the real world you may as well have virtually)
I saw an Aston Martin today actually.
or maybe I might just possibly Virtually Parachute in with my Virtual Union Jack Parachute. I'm unsure which.

I'll bring the Virtual Bolovons and a few bags of Virtual Popcorn, just cause I can really.

Indeed...extremely objective. Picking a winner will be 'virtually' impossible ;) . That's why the wager included a virtual keg of beer. The payout, if and when it happens, won't be prohibitively expensive.

I think I'll be driving the Aston Martin Volante (from TLD) to the party and wear something appropriate from Savile Row. Perhaps a splash (or six) of Bollinger...

Forgive my ignorance, but will this mean an AJB thread devoted to this party or something? How will we add background music?

Either way - if its a party, I'm in! {[]

OK fellow no-lifers, who will be your virtual date for the evening? And for you poor souls who happen to be married, remember, this is all in good fun.

I plan on using my virtual time machine to pick up Ursula Andress circa 1962 and Luciana Paluzzi circa 1965. I'll have a hell of a time squeezing them both into the McLaren (especially as it's a single seater), but the effort will be well worth it.

I'm sure I'll be virtually dead the next morning but, to coin a phrase, no one lives forever.

I'll be turning up in my Aston Martin DB5 with Caterina Murino's arm in mine. Sort of like this, but with a better looking guy. And he'll be wearing Pierce's tux from the TWINE Casino :D

Well, since I'd have to get it washed for the occassion (normally it would say "I don't care about my car") I'd have to turn up in it at least.

I'll be bringing Sophie Marceau, by the time November rolls around that Stockholm Syndrome should be nice and set in! :x

For background music, how about the Beatles, earmuffs of course are optional!

I've already asked Caterina so I'll definitely be attending, but how are we going to carry out this party? I mean - is it going to be a thread, and how do we get background music?

Otherwise - see you all there!

I was going to cut a side deal with Sophie myself; if those two couldn't figure out which one was going to escort her, expect.

I'd have her and Martine reenact the gypsy fight scene from FRWL...IN MY QUARTERS. :D
